  Have recently copied to iTunes and pictures libraries in external hard drive. Both apps work well on iMac, on iTunes Apple TV is fine but unable to select Library of Photos from external hard drive via iTunes / folder / Home sharing / choose photos to share with the Apple TV.   I show multiple copies of the same songs in my itunes. It is probably because I have a few external drives with backups attached to my main PC. I want to store the Itunes library, and I know how to remove the duplicates, but can do for simple songs. I want to be able to select all duplicates and remove it at once. Does anyone know how I could do this?

  You can select a range of songs by selecting one, and then shift-click on another, you can add or remove individual tracks with ctrl + click and ctrl + shift + click can add a new group to the selection. However, I would recommend the following...

  iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

  Official notice of Apple on the duplicates is here: find and remove duplicates in your iTunes library. This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

  Use MAJ > display > show items to reproduce exactly to display the duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove.   Thank you, Sean. I found out what I needed to know to fix the DIF from a document from hp customer service. I was able to fix by restarting, it is to unplug the usb cable first from the printer, wait 5 seconds, plug the cable back in. Then I desconnected the cable from the computer, wait 5 seconds and plugged.

• Time stops on clock Gadget in the sidebar of Vista 64.

  So far, I'm pretty happy with my Vista experience.

  Everything works well except the standard on my sidebar gadget clock (while all the other gadgets work fine).  After having installed and re - install the clock gadget, it would go for 10 seconds and then it would stop.  I'm running Vista 64 w / IE8 on a Thinkpad W700ds w / QX9300 + FX3700M graphics.  I have also tried other clocks gadget from third parties without success.  The problem persists even when the double screen is not used.

  Please advise.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  Wow... I have reviewed many of the threads, and it is clear that many others have the same problem after update from IE7 to IE8.  I had too many come back to IE7 to get my sidebar feature is working again.

  I just hope that Microsoft would release a patch soon to eliminate this annoying problem of otherwise well-designed operating system.

  Step 1:

  c. appearance and personalization

  d and click 'restore the desktop gadgets installed with Windows.

   

  This will bring up the window of the Gadgets from office with a message indicating "administrator installed gadgets and all the windows have been restored.
  Step 2:
   
  Perform a System Restore to the point that it worked fine. Next time you get a command prompt to install MSN explore update/upgrade, I would suggest that you check the option that says "don't show".

• Different clock clock Gadget in Windows 7 taskbar

  My clock Gadget shows 01:00 when my taskbar indicates midnight, clocks were set back in my time zone GMT-3 hours last week.  The clock in the taskbar is correct.  Any ideas as to why the clock on my desk is still showing the time before clocks were cancelled earlier?  No matter what I try to do with a clock, I can't have both clocks to display the same, or the exact time, that is, for the 3GMT time with DST applied in the southern hemisphere.  Help, please!
