Cannot set up wireless Motocast

I just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I could connect to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer songs. But I can not configure Motocast wireless, however. Everytime I try, it checks for a wireless connection, and then goes to a screen Motocast wireless set. He's sitting there for a few seconds, then outputs only programs.

I read through the forum and based on some other recommendations that I saw there, I've uninstalled Java and went on java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have turned off my Windows Firewall and stopped protection in real time on my Microsoft Security Essentials. I also uninstalled the program Motocast, which was first loaded from my phone and uploaded Motocast to mymotocast.com.

I am at a loss. What else can I try?

Well, I decided before I'm that drastic, I need to check the updates of Microsoft, it's been a while, there were 73 to install! Yikes! but after installing the updates, I was able to get through the Setup process and can now access my PC via the Razr.

Thanks for your help.

    ---------EDIT----------

I solved the problem. I went into the bios and seems that my wireless card is a Broadcom as the FCC ID presented themselves as QDS-BRCM1050... that Google identified as a Broadcom BCM94313HMG2L. However, HP does not have the correct drivers for this card on the site. Here is the link for the correct driver http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...s&lc=en&dlc=en. I also installed the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver and now my wireless works perfectly.

Firmware already updated, clean uninstall/install, restarted router & modem, disconnect, etc. (all bases).  The name of the network on the control panel of the printer says '7ff5c4 print server.  This isn't my SSID.  When reinstalling, I never get the window to select the wireless network; Instead, the Setup program goes directly to methods of connection/bug.  Any help?  How can I do a hard reset of the printer?  I already unplugged for a long time; I don't see a reset button. I already have the two software on the printer resets.

  • Satellite A30 - cannot set up the binding wireless modem

    Hello
I have a satellite a30. I just upgraded to broadband and cannot configure the WiFi wizzard. the modem is working perfectly thanks to threads, but cannot set up wireless despite my efforts! Please can someone help?
    see you soon
    Claire

    Hello

    What's the problem?
You are not able to see the thread or what?

Are you sure of the laptop and built-in wireless network card?

Remember that the WiFi card is optional on the Satellite A30 and not all models includes the Wlan miniPCI card
    Thanks for posting more details!

    PS; If the laptop supports a WLan card internal, you should check only that steps;

-Check if the WLan adapter is enabled on the laptop. Activate the switch on the side of the laptop and the FN + F8 key combination!
-Check if the windows own WLan configuration is marked
-Be sure that you use the right WLan encryption and whether encryption is supported by WLan modem (router) and wireless network card
-Check if the standard 802.11 WiFi, B or G is accompanied by WLan modem (router) and wireless network card
-Make sure that the router MAC filtering option has been disabled!

As you can see all of these options are important to connect to the wireless LAN.

    Hello

The valid IP address would start by 192.168 if the IP address starts with 169 or something else is not a valid IP address.

If the address of your router is 192.168.1.1 then the IP of the printer should be something like 192.168.X.X

    OR

If your laptop is connected to multiple networks, this problem may occur. Please connect your laptop to only if the wireless network to which the printer is connected, try anything again.

  • LaserJet M1212nf: Problems setting up wireless printing

I can set up to print from my laptop with a USB connection to the printer. I want to be able to print when away from my office, so have tried for 2 years, on and off, to get my printer to print wireless. I spent probably 10 + hours trying to get this set up. In the end, I always end up having to reinstall the printer with the same old USB connection.

It drives me crazy. I'm a tech writer for a society of software and very savvy in computer science. However, my non-techie family have all managed to set up wireless printing at their home in 5 minutes or less with different brands of printers.

Here are the steps that I followed, although I also tried many variations, like trying with my USB cable connected or disconnected.

    (1) uninstall the current installation of the printer (USB).

    (2) on the printer itself, make sure that the settings > network settings are the default values.

    (3) using the latest drivers and installation .exe from the HP site, start a new installation of the printer.

    (4) when you are prompted, select "wireless."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and indicates that he is there any printer on the network. (Huh? Which network?)

    (5) try again once and this time select "Network Setup."

RESULT: even if my firewall is turned OFF, search and says that it cannot detect a network.

If the wireless installation requires a network, but network installation does not cause a network to install, I don't know where to go from here.

    (6) I also tried downloading and installing the ePrint utility, but when I'm at halfway through the installation, it tells me that it cannot find my printer.

I am suspicious that my model M1212nf MFP may even not allow for wireless printing. Some info on the HP site says to check a particular button lights up to indicate that the printer is online. This light does not exist on my printer model. However, the parameters of the printer from my physics has parameters such as: "show IP address," etc., which would lead me to believe that it can work wireless.

I have read all the help related HP printer, and there is nothing which explains, in simple language, what are the types of cables, I need to set up a network and the Wi - Fi connection, when to plug them in, what facilities to perform on the many Add - ons available, etc.. I don't know that it's a 5 minute process if there was just a good explanation in the help of the UP of how do. Assistance would be appreciated!

    Hello @SKYdiz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have had problems for the last 2 years and spent many hours trying to configure your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP for wireless printing. At this point I'll provide more information about it. First of all, are sitting you?

Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf multifunction printer isn't a model wireless printer. The "nf" at the end of the name of the printer is the abbreviation of 'network, fax. Therefore, if your printer is not able to connect to your router wireless, it CAN connect with an ethernet cable.

All you need to do is connect an ethernet cable to the back of your printer to your router. That all devices connected to this router even (whether through wireless or wired ethernet connections) would be able to 'see' your printer on the network and print it on your printer. For more information on configuring ethernet on your printer, please visit: Setup the printer to a wired network in Windows 7 for HP's LaserJet printers.

Now, if an ethernet connection does not work in your specific network, HP makes other Laserjet models that do not use the wireless function. Here are two LaserJet who are black only, multifunction wireless units that resemble your current printer model: HP LaserJet MFP HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro and M127fw Pro.

Please let me know if this clears up any confusion. If you have other questions or concerns, I'll be more than happy to help you. Happy new year!

  • Receive error message: ": windows cannot configure this wireless connection if you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection, use that software."

    Internet connection xp

I am running windows xp sp3 on my laptop. After a restart of the internet connection (wireless failed). try to connect to the wireless network has this error
": windows cannot configure this wireless connection if you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection, use that software."
It's a toshiba n205.  When I right click on the wireless network printer it says that it is the firewall disabled. so I'm going to allow it and it still does not work. I don't understand because it seems that the firewall was working aok before restarting. I change all of the settings.

I solved this problem by changing the setting to allow windows to establish the network connection, I guess it is made by toshiba software. If anyone knows WHY this would be the case, why all of a sudden we would lose the connection, would be useful.

  • My laptop cannot connect to wireless internet. Ethernet works fine. Wireless is enabled on the laptop.

    original title: portable wireless problems

Hi guys, my laptop cannot connect to wireless internet. I tried to use ConfigFree Diagnostic tests already installed on my computer, reset the router, and even taking on the router for 30 seconds and put it to. On my laptop wireless switch is turned on, too. Is the only way I can connect to the internet via an ethernet cable and I started to disconnect from the wireless internet just yesterday. I know that my router is not the problem because I have a laptop connected to her brother. Also, I tried the FN + F8 key on my Toshiba laptop. Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Is this also your thread with a different name?

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-performance/wireless-Internet-on-laptop-not-working/aedbda38-a56e-E011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5

To do a hard reset on the router and the modem, you must feed their STOP, wait 3 minutes,
then then turn on the modem on - when it comes back - router - when it is set to zero
    computers.
    ----------------------------------------------

Anyway the same answer applies: update WiFi driver that something has probably
He touched. Make sure that the wireless device is turned on, if there is a switch on the computer.
Many Toshiba have a WiFi switch on the front or side.

Update the driver WiFi, use the wired (NIC) to download the driver or do it on another
system and your transfer on removable media such as CD, DVD or a USB key.

Control Panel - device - network - WiFi note the brand manager and full
model information - double click - writing tab Drivers version - then power management tab uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device...". »

Then on the tab driver, click Update driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
drivers of certification) - then right click on the device - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will
    update the driver stack.

Go to system Maker and search for the WiFi Driver updated - download - SAVE - go to
where you put it - make a right click on it - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT

Then go to the site of the manufacturer of the device and get even more recent (Realtek, Intel, or one that makes
the device) and try the install again.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • C4780 cannot find the wireless router

I have a new iMac and old Toshiba that is running Windows XP and you use a Netgear wireless router.  When I got to the printer, it worked fine on the wireless network.  Bought a new router that I couldn't work with the Mac and the PC so I returned to my original router.  Now, the printer does not work as a wireless printer.  Summaries of diagnosis indicates that the printer cannot find the wireless router and fails under "Network Name (SSID) Found."  On the Network Setup page, my network is listed as a network discovered by the printer.  I guess there is a simple solution and hope to find the answers here.

    Thank you very much!

Some printers C4780 left the factory with a default misconfiguration.  This could be the reason why you can not see the hpsetup network.  Here is an updated set of instructions for manually adding the C4780 to a Mac:

Part 1 - Get the printer in Ad-Hoc Mode Wireless

    (1) turn on the printer.

    (2) display the printer has six keys; three on the left (top-left, middle left, below on the left) and three on the right (top-right, centre-right, bottom-right).  Press and release the following touch buttons in order:

    top left,

    bottom-left,

    top left,

    top left.

    (3) you should see the internal menu of printers.  Press the right button down to select 'Service Menu'.  Press OK (lower-left).

    4) press the lower button right until you see "Reset Menu".  Press OK (lower-left).

    5) press the lower button right until you see "half full".  Press OK (lower-left).

    (6) after a few seconds, the printer turns off.  Press the power button to turn on the printer.  It is now reset with the correct default network settings.

    (7) turn on the radio:

Press the Scan button to get the wireless settings

    Select wireless Menu

    Select wireless settings

Select Enable Wireless to turn on the radio.

Part 2 - run the Wireless Setup Wizard

The printer has now created an ad - hoc network called hpsetup.  To connect to this network on your Mac.

Check the connection to the printer by opening the printer's internal web page.  You can do this by opening Safari, select bookmarks then ShowAll bookmarks.  On the left pane of Safari, select Hello and on the right, you should see your printer listed.  Double-click your printer and Safari should display the printer's internal web page.

The printer Web page, select the network tab, and then select Wireless (802.11).  Now press Start the wizard to launch the wireless configuration wizard.

When the wizard is finished, your computer unplug the printer's ad - hoc network as the printer reconfigures itself to connect to your network home.

Reconnect your computer to your home network.  Verify that you can connect to the printer at the opening of its internal web page again once we were doing before.

Finally, install the printer SW.  Since you have Snow Leopard, you don't need the CD that came with the printer.  Instead, open the Print & Fax under System Preferences applet and press the [+] button.  Highlight your printer and click Add.

    Hi all.

I have a Tecra A4, and for the last 2 days I am trying set up the screen at native resolution of 1280 x 800, without sucssess.

I try a lot of things, like updating drivers, use the restoration of the system, the value 'stretch' in the BIOS, etc, but this resolution do not appear on the display settings (I use XP SP2). I've only 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768.

In any of these resolutions, a wide black border appear to the right of the screen. A small border appears on the bottom, too.

Please, how can I solve this problem? I don't want to use the Toshiba restore, some programs I use are very difficult to find and install.

    Thank you.

You cannot set this resolution if this resolution of 1280 x 800 is not part of the display driver.
The graphics card driver contains all available resolutions and if one is missing, I mean not rated, it s not able to select
