Cannot start the listener in Oracle 10 g personal edition
Hi allI'm trying to start the listener on my personal edition of Oracle 10 g. I tried this category ' Windows tools administration, click 'Services '. I also tried the command line. The two methods fail. Here are the error messages for each method:
In "Services" in Windows:

In the past, I could start the receiver under the heading 'Services', but no more.
Listening port Oracle does not start when the OS is down.
Difficulty at the OS level, which has changed or ruptured.
Oracle is a victim; not guilty.
This system gets its # IP via DHCP?
LOOPBACK connector has been installed on this system?

Errors when you try to start the listener HTTP (Oracle Developer Suite 10 g)
Good day everyone,
I'm doing some development on certain forms in Oracle Forms Developer 10 g and I have problems creating a local development environment. When I try to run a form in Oracle Forms Developer 10g, I get an error message telling me that my HTTP listener cannot be found. When I try to run my HTTP listener, I get two error messages:
The server initialization error: error reading system i/o
Fatal error: outgoing server
Could someone help me with the configuration of my local development environment? I need the environment so I can use debugging tools in Oracle Forms Developer 10 g (currently I deploy the form in the development environment and trouble shooting problems I have).Take a look at forms: how to configure Forms Builder to run forms locally. After you set up your system, then you will need start the OC4J instance before you can run your form.

I installed my oracle 11g enterprise edition only once with success, and I've never uninstalled it. The problem was strange, the day before yesterday that everything worked well, just yesterday morning after I started my computer, then I went to our services in order to start OracleserviceORCL, at the same time I noticed that the listener was not starting. Once I start the listener, it will automaticlly "stop". I couldn't understand why, it was really really frustrated. I googled a lot, but I have some information, but none of them give me a clear answer. I don't know how and what to do.
I use developer sql to access a remote database account, but not my own Oracle database account. I can still access my data back, it means that my oracle database is always good. What happened to the listener? What should I do next? Please help me. Thanks to all in advance and happy Thanksgiving!
BTW, my operating system is windows 7, 64 bit.Your welcome.

I just downloaded the latest ADR. Unzip it and do

ords.jar and follow the prompt and it works
two things I noticed.
- Make sure that apex_public_user is good to go
- make sure to put the correct directory for static
- Choose a port that is not used
the configuration is in properties files and need to be changed...
I wonder why this virtual machine does not right out of the box and looks like it sets up to 8080
but it does not work when I do one

I guess that everything should work right out of the virtual machine and config...

I installed Oracle 10 g on my PC. It installed fine, and I can connect to SQLPlus. However, I can't start the listener. I tried: lsnrctl start listener, and I get :-12560 TNS: TNS:protocol adapter error.

A computer does not recognize the drive of all - the other answer in the hardware profile, it cannot start the drive.
Both computers are running Windows XP 2nd edition.

Do you mean that the external CD/DVD drive for PC card cannot be recognized in Windows XP?
Hmm I think I have an idea.
I think you should go to the Device Manager and remove the * Texas Instruments PCI controller card bus * and * Toshiba ToPIC100 CardBus controller *.
Reboot the laptop. After restarting, the operating system must install new hardware (two controllers carbs) and after this installation, you can try to connect the external PC card, CD/DVD drives again!
Good luck

Cannot start the DSC Shared Memory
I'm under LabView 7.0 (I know its an older configuration), with DSC and Lookout CPB to make periodic communications to an Omron plc. I needed to update the nor-DAQ because the PCI-6220 card needs the driver. I upgraded to NOR-DAQ 7.5 and now a get the cannot start the Service Manager memory shared DSC. I uninstalled the DSC and reinstalled without change. I found in discussion forums that I need nidscsm.exe in the windows\system32 folder, but is not there. I am running Windows XP.
I have 2 configurations like that. 1 PC always connects to the controller even if the error appears, another PC connects any, lights flash but error timeout then comms.
Thank you!
Sorry, maybe I had my names wrong. He was DAQ - Mx that I've upgraded to v.8.1 and that's where it messes up the communications of the OPC. I knew that if I install the DAQ - Mx without option checked OPC she always clears the NIDSCSM.COM as a service, but I can still use serial OPC communication. Strange...
