  I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve the problem.

  Try these steps and check:

  a. do not connect the USB cable first.
  b. go to settings / wireless & network/usb/connection and tap the icon of the samsung Galaxy phone.
  c. it prompts you to connect the cable. It's when you plug the cable and then another icon on the screen.
  d. If it does not, try to connect to a different USB port.

  (a) click Start and then click Run.

  (b) type regedit and then click OK.

  (c) locate and then click the following registry subkey:

  (d) right click on the folder, click on delete.

I do documentaries, movies on not-for-profit, etc. I found myself on shoots with or without my laptop and often no connectivity. I then get requests from the client to send this spreadsheet or a script. Is there a way I can get these docs on the phone in the prospect of having to send the next, etc.?

  I guess I could always their email to myself, but it may be useful to have a clean mobile docs folder share just in case where, for applications when I'm on the road.

  Since I have this phone the only thing I use my computer (laptop) for further develops these wicked long docs, otherwise it is a paper weight.

  Your phone appears on your computer, just like any other removable media (USB stick, memory card). You can use the operating system file Explorer to copy files to and from your SD card phones.

  When sending large files by email, you can run the network size limits AT & Ts. I sent a file of 4 MB (pdf page 288) without problem on WiFi, WiFi turned off, I have "Broken Pipe - cannot send the message" errors.

  I don't know how big the files are that you need to send, you can test it before depending on the shipment via the AT & Ts network.

  I tried to reproduce what you experience on the device, but have been able to copy files on the SD card without any problems successfully. How do you try to move the files? I didn't go in Astro Manager of files, search for a file on my Tablet and tap and hold on the file and select copy. Then, I went to the SD card in Astro, the directory I wanted to copy to and you click on paste. You can try and see if it works? If this is not the case, my best advice would be to try another SD card.

  I tried for hours to check in different forums, but I'm not able to find anything conclusive.

  All I can do is Exchange of files between my PC and the internal memory, but I can't access the SD card in the PC (I already read that it is impossible, as it is encrypted), but what I didn't expect is unable to do the same between the internal memory and the SD in my phone.

  I found a solution and I want to post here, just in case someone has a similar problem.

  Apparently, the first time that I formatted my internal SD card it was didn't appropriately. I don't know why, but it happened.

  From settings > storage & USB > SD card > tap the three vertical dots on the upper left corner and choose "as portable Format. I advise you to remove all apps before do it for return to the internal memory of the mobile. Once empty to proceed, you can choose the same menu last for formatting as internal (again). Follow all the steps in the procedure to move the files to the memory of your mobile phone to the SD card.

  I did and I can transfer files from my computer it, music, videos, photos and everything.
