Cannot upgrade to iOS 9.3

Apple has not send me iOS update request on my iPad 2 Air. Try manually, it says "failed to verify the update. An error occurred while checking for a software update"

Have you tried to restart and turn off your iPad?

    Hello Horriblestar5,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand from your question, that you have problems, update your iPad on iOS 9. Have you tried updating by Wi - Fi or via iTunes? The following article explains the two processes; I would first try to update by using the method that you have not yet tried.

If you are still unable to update, please work through the steps in the next section to help resolve this situation.

  • cannot upgrade to iOS 9.3 on 5s?

Why can't I upgrade to iOS 9.3? It says that I don't have an internet connection when I do actually.

Apple released the update iOS 9.3 for some devices (air iPad and the front, iPhone 5 s and forward) due to problems with activation. You may not be updated until a patch is issued. I recommend to wait for some time (days?) before trying again.

  • Cannot upgrade iPhone iOS 9.2.1

I tried to update my iPhone 5 iOS 9.2.1 for the last two weeks (I'm running on 8.2). Whenever I plug my phone into my computer and click on update in iTunes, I get the same message saying: "the iTunes software (11.4) is up to date" and does not update my phone. I tried to unplug my phone and logging out and in iTunes and nothing works. I also tried deleting iTunes on my computer and put it back in place, as some people had results this way... Still no luck. My computer says my software is up to date and when I go to run the updates available, he says that nothing should be updated. I don't have enough free space to update via wifi. I'm running out of ideas for what to do. Help!

You seem to be running 10.6.8 and that you must upgrade the operating system of the computer. Open the Mac App Store and try to download El Capitan. If you get told that it is incompatible with your computer or not desired, choose about this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or CPU Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) and 2 GB of RAM, and if this is the case, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7; the Apple Online Store also sells codes for 10.8 Mountain Lion to download, but it has the same system requirements as El Capitan.

Back up your data and control your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer do not support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

  • Cannot upgrade to iOS last after being in the beta program

I was in the beta of iOS, and now I am unable to update my iPad to the latest version of iOS. IPad 2 Air is currently on version 9.1 (13B5130b). Whenever I have unlock the iPad, I get a message saying "a new update of iOS is now available. Please update the iOS beta 9. ». Settings/general indicates a '1' for the software update; However, when I select it it says is "iOS 9.1 your software is up-to-date.

I went to the Web site and removed program beta of the iPad and also deleted parameters. A newer version of the beta software had already been downloaded on the iPad, but not yet installed until it was removed from the program. As a result of the new version is already download, I went into settings/general/storage & use iCloud / Manage Storage and deleted. At this point, I did iCloud and iTunes backups on my Mac.

Then, I started the iPad in Recovery Mode and started this process when you are connected to the Mac that contains the iTunes backup. He went through about a download of 15 minutes and then the control has been returned to iTunes and I would sit in the dialog containing the update and restore options, but neither button was active when they could not be selected.

How can I get iOS 9.2 installed on my iPad? I am running out of ideas and don't see anything else in the communities of support that I have tried!

Thanks to everyone to give feedback.

  • My iPad cannot upgrade to iOS 10

For months, I tried to update my iPad 2 Air iOS. He is currently on iOS 9.3.3. It may be a problem with my 9 Beta iOS software profile (which I uninstalled it a few days ago), but I'm not really sure. I have repeatedly "Unable to install Update" errors when I try to update over the air and sometimes my plant even iPad and restarts.

I try to update via iTunes and iTunes tells me "this version of the iPad (9.3.3) software is the version current." when it obviously isn't. FYI, I use iTunes 12.5.1.21 on my iMac OS X Mavericks running.

    Hi C000L,

I understand that you get an error when you try to update your iPad with either iTunes or live. I know it's important to have up-to-date software, so I'm happy to help you.

You said that you had the beta version of iOS 9 installed. If the beta software is not properly updated to version, it can cause problems with update normally. Read this article on the management of software in version beta iOS on your iPhone:

Download the final version of iOS

If you have a beta version of iOS and you want to download the final version, follow these steps:

    1. Connect your device to iTunes.
    2. When your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep now until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
    3. When asked, choose updates to download and install the latest version of iOS nonbeta.
An update installation does not affect your settings or content.

  • Cannot release all online content after upgrade to ios 9.2

I have an iPhone 16 GB 5, which I recently upgraded to ios 9.2.

Since the update, I can't release all content online (titles of Soundcloud, 8tracks playlists, Instagram, or youtube videos). I tried to remove or update the relevant applications and deletion of photos/videos on my phone to create storage, but nothing has worked. I also tried to broadcast the same content using Safari (i.e., going on the Web sites of soundcloud/youtube to play tracks), but that doesn't work anymore. Similarly, the podcasts app does not do anything and the content I want to disseminate through relevant Web sites of podcasts is also insensitive. Strangely enough, Spotify is only seems to work (at least for now).

Someone has a similar problem? I went on community support issues and realized account of some people had problems with their videos of Instagram and I followed the recommended steps provided in response to these issues, but it does not work for me either.

    Could someone please help?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi guncan,

If you are having problems with your iPhone is not not be able to play the streamed content, you can try some things to solve problems.

First of all, quit all applications running and test again-

Force an app to close the iOS

Then, I would try restarting iPhone.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Best for you.

  • Cannot make or receive phone calls after the upgrade to iOS 9.2

Last night, I could make and receive phone calls. This morning I upgraded to iOS 9.1 to 9.2, and now I can't make or receive calls.

Any call I make - other iPhones, to landlines, whether on my list of Favorites or not - says 'call X... '. "(where X is the name of the contact - X is omitted if I don't dial a contact). After a few seconds, the phone says "Call ended." and I get three quick tones.

When they call me, it goes to voicemail once they hear 1 or 2 rings. I don't hear anything. The call does not appear in the 'recent' folder, but I received a voice message.

I don't have to "do not disturb" lit.

My iPhone is a 4 s, which can be a key because my wife has a 5. She has just upgraded and has no problem with calls. We are both on the Sprint network, using 'Ting' which is a dealer - so our actual provider's Ting. My phone says "Version 9.2 (13 c 75)", carrier "Sprint 23.0" and model MD377LL/A."

I turned the phone on and off several times, and also to do a reset (now hold both power and home until the apple logo appears). neither helped. I double-clicked the original key and removed the phone application and all other applications, then restarted the phone application, which also helped.

    WiFi works.

A related issue is to: IOS 9.2 update .

    OK, now it works.

I think that what I had was specific to my carrier - as well as anyone with this problem likely needs to communicate with their provider!

For Ting (Sprint), here's what I had to do:

    1. to connect to a Wi - Fi network

    2. dial # 873283 #.

    3. press the call key

    4. press "Start Service Update" and wait a minute or two.

    5. press on "Full Service Update" and wait a minute or two for the phone to reconnect to the Sprint network.

    6. once the upper line shows that Sprint is connected, I could make and receive phone calls.
