Cannot view Web pages. Default open / binary code.
OS X 10.4.11
I deleted browsing history, cookies and cache. When I restarted firefox, I couldn't go to Netflix.com. I get a blank page with a pop-up box labled: opening defult. It is said to the inside of the box, you have chosen to open default is binary code. There are two buttons: Save and cancel. By clicking on the buttons does nothing.
Reinstallation does not work. Computer reload does not work. I even deleted my firefox profile (bookmarks bye bye). Problem still exists.
I am able to veiw my blog & netflix on Safari, but there is no adblock for OS X10.4, and I hate ads.

Program cannot display web page on start up - replacements all & freeze safe mode
Hi, on my pc startup (Vista) after the initial office, he's going on a blank white page with information i. Message is "the program cannot display Web page". If I try to start the task manager that flashes briefly upward, then the white screen resumes. If I try again, I get a black screen. While the screen is in place I can't do anything else or run programs at startup upward until this screen.
If I boot in safe mode, the top of desktop and icons here, but I can't do anything else - even closed. I have to press the power button until the PC is emerging.
I don't know how to do BACK guests or find how to work around this problem. I tried several searches but all the answers are in line to remove this or that or a scanner. I don't have access to all programs do. Even the answers on this site so far await you to be able to run other programs of some sort. I'll have to write this on PC of the wife. Any help / suggestions gratefully received.
Thank you, Nick
You can use Windows Defender in offline mode, use a PC secure and download and use:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline
And then use removable media or a CD/DVD and create the startup and startup disk in your infected PC and then run a full system scan. You have no need to start your system in this way.

Error "Cannot display Web page" when the wireless internet access.
Original title: dubious connection
seriously, my internet connection Wireless plays up.
It works fine on my laptop, but on my desktop it will work well for maybe a few minutes and then all of a sudden that take forever to load pages or just say 'cannot display Web page' and that will be the end of it. Also says that I'm connected to the internet and internet access. I have done all troubleshooting, clean boot, disable the antivirus/firewall, reset tcp/ip stack, network troubleshooting, nothing is. It works for two minutes then boom, slow as a snail and then not working. If I disconnect my wireless network and reconnect it seems working again for a few minutes then slow again. Very frustrating, any advice appreciatedThis has only started happening last week? You have McAfee on your desktop PC?
If so,.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.
I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool, they mention a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

I use the option on the Web page to open something and end up with empty new tab.
I'm on a web page and there is an option to open or scan another page available. I press the button or the highlighted option. It shows me so it transfers data and transferred me to a new tab, but when he made the new page has nothing about it. There is no option pop up allowing me to activate the scripts so that I find myself with nothing. An example is on orange.fr. He asks if I want to see my Bill (Bill) I press on (see my Bill) it seems to load a new page and the transfer of information but the new page opens and it is empty. There is no option to allow scripts.
What is a PDF (Adobe Reader) or a normal web page?
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

Wireless connected but cannot display Web page
Hi, I have a HPG7094 laptop with Vista 64 bit installed.
I tried for days to fix my problem. My wireless connection has stopped working. It says it is connected to my wireless - excellent - but when I try to open the internet I get the error IE cannot open the Web page. I deleted my network and tried to re-login only to get the same error. I did a clean install on my laptop and downloaded the drivers on the HP site, but it's always the same.
In the lower RH it says 'Unidentified network' (and the name of my network) access: Local only. If I connect the ethernet cable, it works fine and if I connect my mobile dongle orange it works very well.
I have other laptops and desktop computers and all these connect wirelessly without problem. I have tried to 'fix' the wireless connection and not to renew the period of INQUIRY, still no joy. I connected on the router from my office and changed the channel from "auto" to "6" and "11", but this has no effect.
Someone at - it ideas, what could cause this problem, any help would be highly appreciated.
Gail

Several troubleshooting methods:
What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have
EVER had on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which)
may cause strange problems). If no joy there's something blocking perhaps.
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - IE with no Addons - what works best?
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK
Close and restart IE or IE with no addons
not better?
IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if she's here, it is no longer necessary but Java
installs and it causes more questions - have you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again.) Search
other possible problems.Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look
right. Allowed are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If doubt about a program
ask about it here.Could not be a free - SpyBHOremover - BHO - standalone program, needs no installation, download.
unzip and run - all are not bad, but some can cause your question (toolbars are BHO).
