Cannot write to the file system on BlackBerry 10

Hello

I'm writing a text file to the filesystem on my BlackBery 10 DevAlphaB device.

When I do, I have an onwriteerror that occur.

{'type': "error", "bubbles": fake, "cancelBubble": false, 'voidable': fake, 'lengthComputable': false, 'loaded': 0, 'total': 0, 'target': {'Filename': "filesystem:local:///persistent/myfolder/myfile.jsonlength ',' ': 0, 'position': 0,"readyState": 2, 'result': null, 'error': {'code': 10},"onwritestart": null,"onprogress": null,"onwrite": null,"onabort": null"}}

Error code 10 is quote outdated but the text that I'm saving<256 "bytes"="">

Someone has an idea what I am doing wrong?

Isn't always the way...
You spend ages looking at something, post a question in the forum, and then find the answer yourself.

It turns out that I had copied an old piece of code which defined the size of my file '0' space in the call to requestFileSystem.

I changed it to 1024 * 1024, and lo-and-behold his work.

  • Change .txt and write to the file system

    Hello!

    I created composite simple soa with BPEL process that read the .txt file and write to the file system.

    txt file have this structure:

    < ns1:Record - 1 >

    < ns1:Field - > 123 ABC < / ns1:Field - Somename>

    < / ns1:Record - 1 >

    < ns1:Record - 1 >

    < ns1:Field - unnom > 34 < / ns1:Field - Somename>

    < / ns1:Record - 1 >

    . . .

    < ns1:Record - n >

    < ns1:Field - unnom > 432 < / ns1:Field - Somename>

    < / ns1:Record - n >

    For example the input file are < ns1:Record - 1 > appears twice and < ns1:Record - 2 > appears three times in the file.

    In the output file, I want that < ns1:Record - 1 > occurs three times and < ns1:Record - 2 > occurs four times - more initial registration amount 1

    How is it possible to do? Thank you.

    Hello

    Good to know that your problem is solved.

    Your solution to the problem (copy methods and insertAfter bpel) seems to be very well and works as planned including the edge cases. Rather than use the counters, you could use the "count" in clause () method in .

    (Ex: $Invoke1_Write_InputVariable.body / ns3:Record - 1 [count($InputVariable.body/ns3:Record-1)])

    The snippet of Java code that you plan to use works very well when the records are sorted (ascending). You could do the same thing in bpel code too, but I prefer to implement the same using the method described above.

    Hope that my updates have been useful for you.

    See you soon.

    Hi all

    I tried several files such as C:\test.xlxs and C:\Users\name\Desktop\data test\test.xlxs directory
    not yet a single file created on my host pc or PXI-8186. After that I implemented the program displays window "are you sure? Your data will not be saved to a file"and have two choices to choose Donot save or try again
    I really want to create the file on the host PC if possible help pls thanks in advance.

    Better subject.
    Wuttikrai

    You try to deploy the express vi into your RT controller? You should try using the low level screw and you can use the shared variable to transfer the data to the host. The method that you try may work only when you have the card in your PC. Also, you will get only the latest data saved to your file as you write the last item coming out of the execution of the loop. Try to restructure your code and check examples of LabVIEW.

    When I print from Framemaker 8 using the Adobe PDF printer driver, I get the message "Cannot write in print file specified."  And I am not able to generate ps file.  Why is this?  What could be the problem?

    FM is not a true PDF Export. There is not a "SaveAsPDF", that comes silently prints (background task) a temp ps of the file using the AdobePDF printer instance, called Distiller with a specified joboptions file and deletes so the temp folder afterwards.

    AdobePDF print through the PDF port, which is actually the same as the SaveAsPDF FM approach.

    @Wish, have you checked that your AdobePDF printer instance pointing to the 'Adobe PDF' port (printer properties > Ports)? Alternatively, you can try setting the AdobePDF in the FILE: port.

    Also check that you have permissions to write system level to where you try to put the temp FM ps file.

    Thank you

    Jim

    Found the problem and it's nothing to do with users, groups, and permissions of files (tmp or anything else besides!)

    The problem was that I had not put the sysconfig according the upgrade installation Notes & R12.2 for Linux x 86-64 ( note 1330701.1 )

    I guess the bum steer, which gives install them quick - is indicating that the question is a problem of permission of the files in / tmp, when it is not really!

    The only thing I can think is that it uses sysconfig content to add the name of host or domain, the file name, he tries to put in / tmp.

    hope this helps

    Hello

    After trying for a while, I get it how to use FileConnection.mkdir () in my code.

    But I am facing a problem here. When the mkdir() is executed, it gives me FileIOException: file system error

    Here is my code that attempts to create a directory called myDir

    try {}
    FileConnection fc = (FileConnection) Connector.open ("file:///store/home/myDir", Connector.READ_WRITE);
    If (! fc.exists ()) {}
    FC.mkdir ();

    }
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    Dialog.Alert (try ());
    }

    I even tried to give the path like 'file:///store/home/myDir/' because I tried to create a directory. But it also gives the same exception.

    Please let me know if I'm doing one any mistake here.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I think the problem is... BlackBerry does not allow a directory to be created in the folder /store/ the device. Because I am able to create a directory in the directory/SDCard /.

    Is this something that we cannot create a directory in the root directory of the device?

    I'm sorry to keep posting here because I'm trying various things in my code and got to know more. But I write as soon as I get a result, so that it can be useful for those who are looking for the same thing.

    I even tried to create a directory in/store/home/user/and it works fine. So that means, we need to create our directories in the directory/store/home/user or/SDCard /.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hi yog123,

    The code you mentioned is valid, but I guess you make a small mistake here.

    Whenever you want to create a directory, you should give "/" after the name directory to inside the Connector.open)

    Just put "/" after the directory name "sp" in your code as shown below.

    FileConnection fconn = (FileConnection)Connector.open("file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/pictures/sp/",Connector.READ_WRITE);

    Please let us know if you still find no problem.

    Thank you

  • Writing a file with the file system

    I'm trying to export a file in javascript and write it in the retentive memory.

    The problem is when the call actually:

    I discovered also for what was causing the problem. The debugger on the pc seems to interfere with the process. As soon as I removed the breakpoints it started working.
