  The device you use Nikon D5 is supported with Camera Raw 9.5 and above, you need the latest version of Photoshop.

  As Photoshop CS6 will not update later that Camera Raw 9.1.1, or you can install the DNG Converter and convert the NEF files to DNG, and then use them in Photoshop.

  Feel stupid.

  Have the new Canon 5 d Mark II and raw files first shot. Went to open them in CS2 (my old 20 d files open fine) and got the error message.

  Came to the adobe site, new camera_raw.8bi download, followed the instructions to move it in the right folder, old archived. Nothing. Same mistake. Checked the "help > about plug-ins >" and it only shows the gross.

  Returned to the adobe site and looked into the DNG Converter (don't know why I need that - can't I just open it in CS2 as ago?) and downloaded the zip (5.1). No instructions I can find anywhere on what to do with these files. Drag the .exe on my desk and pulled upward, said one of the raw files and. .  . got an error "there was an error of analysis of the file."

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. In particular, I would like to be able to open the files in CS2, if possible.

When I send pictures to Camera Raw in bridge, twisting them and make everything beautiful, I want to finally send them into Photoshop to finish my treatment. Camera Raw seems to want to send to Photoshop CS6. I can't get it to open them in Photoshop CC. I guess miss me a setting somewhere but does not know where he is.   Eager to start using plug in Camera Raw for PS CS6, I find that it is not active. (1) in Bridge CS6, ACR in main menu icon is gray. (2) after you click on an image in Bridge JPEG file, then right click on it, it has no option to open in Camera Raw. (3) by using the file menu of the bridge, there is no visible Camera Raw option; and (4) in PS CS6, from File > Open, then choosing 'Camera Raw' in the drop-down list of options activate, each JPEG file is grayed out.

  My attempts to activate Camera Raw involve (1) download DNG Converter 8.7.1 and (2) try to download ACR 8.3... Update from Adobe. That second effort failed, receive this error code: "Camera Raw 8.3 (CS6) U44M2P7. I currently have AdobeCameraRaw7.0ALL and AdobeCameraRawProfile7.0ALL installed on a Mac under OS10.7.6.

  I don't know what else to do. Please tell me how to activate Camera Raw using Photoshop CS6.

  Photoshop Elements open digital, negatives, but Photoshop won't and I get the same dialogue "cannot recognize the file type. I doubt that using a digital negative converter / raw file will change that. I need camera raw to work in photoshop.

  The ACR 7.4 700 d or newer of the 70 d (if there was typo) requires and ACR, 8.2 or newer.

  PS CC 2015 as the title says needs OS X 10.9 or newer so PS CC 2014 is the most recent CC PS, you can run on your 10.8.

  11 elements of Photoshop that supports RTAs 7.1 also supports ACR 7.4, so you should be able to update your PSE11 to 7.4 of the cab and open the 700 d raw files.

  It is unclear why your PS CC 2014 cannot be updated at least 8.2 RTAs that must run on your old operating system.

  I would be completely uninstall the PS CC 2014, reboot, then reinstall and use the help / updates to see if you can get a new Camera Raw plugin that works.

  When you re-installed Photoshop, you also re-installed the version of Camera Raw comes with Photoshop - in other words came back you to an old version of Camera Raw, which does not support the D5100.

  No..  In view of the considerable volume of posts during the last two weeks, I can see why you referenced the 2 7.

  Randy, the D-70 was released after CS6 is released.  Adobe didn't not reverse retains compatibility with older versions of Photoshop - a way to upgrade.  Unfortunately you must use the link above or upgrade to CS6 DNG Converter.
