Hello

Here's a few types of lens distortion.

First of all, you have a slight distortion with close objects of shooting wide angle.

Lenses wide angle make things close to the lens seems strangely great. You never want to do a portrait closeup zoomed out to a wide angle; always take a step back a little and then zoom in to frame the shot. The wide angle shot close up would give a big nose and a large forehead your subject on a small body. In your case the Lady on the left is closer to the camera
Everyone so she seems so enlarged.

Secondly, you have pad edge distortion.
It's just a common defect with a cheaper camera and lenses
As A Powershot will suffer more than a more expensive configuration of the camera. Just avoid the problem by not putting people completely on the edges of the photo. Leave an empty space.

  • Add Canon Powershot A700 to devices

I don't have a card reader; and I always used to just connect the USB cable to the camera and the computer would open up the file in Windows Media. Why won't it work now?

Click Start-> Control Panel-> Autorun.  To the bottom of this window, you should see the Canon Powershot A700.  Click below that and set it to the "open device stage.

If the above does not work, you can buy a card reader USB for as little as $2 at most places that sell computers.

    Good luck.

When I tried to import a MVI_ "# file. THM file of a machine "Canon Powershot SX1 IS" in Adobe Premiere Elements, I received the following message: "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed."

THM files are images representing your video files. As small icons. They are files or photo or a video that explains why they don't are not supported by Premiere Elements.

The pictures on this camera are likely .jpg files. Video on low-end cameras like this can be forms of .avi or .mov.

  • Using Canon PowerShot SD500 with Photo

Does anyone have an idea how I can use my camera Canon PowerShot SD500 a little dated with El Capitan Photo? This camera is not on the list of the compatible, but I wasn't on the purchase of a new camera immediately. This camera is not on the list of those compatible. Thank you.

You should be able to use the mini-USB to USB cable provided with the camera to connect it to your Mac. If Photos does not start by itself, you can start it manually, check the sidebar on the view menu, and select the camera in the sidebar. You should be presented with a screen to import. Click Import all.

Where can I find a driver for the Canon Powershot S300?

If it exists, you can find it on the Canon website.

But you don't need. You ever need connect your device directly. Just buy a USB drive to SD card (or any form of memory card your camera uses). They are very expensive - generally around 2 US $ on Amazon.com - and are very easy to use. I find them preferable to connect the camera. on the one hand it does not use the batteries of your camera.

  • Cleaning LCD screen of my new camera Canon Powershot A4000 IS.

How to proceed safely to clean the LCD screen of my new camera Canon Powershot A4000 IS? It seems that this model doesn't have an LCD screen for touch as the A3400 IS. Someone at the store where it was purchased, or a factory worker, left a few footprints of oil from skin smudge marks on it. How can I determine if these touching detracted from the screen? Is there is no reason to fuss with it and no harm to leave fingerprints on it, it might be better to leave it alone. Here again the presence of such oil may affect any coating on the LCD screen. Also, if I want to buy some protective plastic appropriate to place on it to avoid future scratches, (I don't see not the existence of any scratch right now), it seems that it might be a good idea to clean it first. But I could be wrong. I am a new user and I looked in every sense of the directives on this issue, both online and in the manual, but I can't find anything relevant other than the reprimand for camera general cleaning must guide is the result of the use of cleaners containing organic solvents. I saw a suggestion for another product to use a drop or two of water on a cloth of soft lens, but I don't know if it is reasonable in my situation with my particular product. Any reasonable response well informed and correct, offering advice on this subject would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Clean your screen with a dry, soft cloth and never use any type of solvent, rubbing alcohol, etc.  Best is to use a cloth to clean the glasses and/or photographic lenses.  IMO, you could use a very small amount of water to help get rid of the traces of finger, but eventually I'd always for a soft, cloth dry and just rub a little harder (but not too loud, use your best judgment) to remove traces of fingers.  I used this technique for many years without any problems.

  • Device driver for Canon Powershot G2 not found.

I've just set up my new pc with Windows 7 Home Edition.  I have connected a Canon Powershot G2, but it cannot locate the device driver.  But when I check the list of devices, this camera is on the list and he said there is nothing I have to do.  An idea that I have to do to get the device operational?

    Hi MarkPosey,

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Manually install the device driver
    a. use the device CD you got with the camera and install the driver.
    b. check if it works very well.

Step 2: If the problem persists, check the Windows updates to see if there is an update available for your device
see automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware .
    b. download and install the update just for your device and restart the computer.
    c. check to see if the problem persists.

  • Canon PowerShot SX110 IS Camera__ 9MP digital

    Hello

Canon PowerShot SX110 IS digital camera 9MP
Sample SDK PSREC DSK does not not under Vista/windows 7

    concerning

    John

    Hello johnindia,

Try to install in compatibility mode:

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and self-test program compatibility issues:

    1. open the program compatibility problems theStart button.

Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting tool, then clickTroubleshooting. Under programs, clickRun done for previous versions of Windows.

    2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

First thing to do is to check its compatibility Vista at the link above, and if not to see what are the solutions/patches are available from Canon.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it, if installed > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on setup.exe O run as admin.

  • Canon PowerShot S2 IS. The camera window does not work on Windows 7

On my old computer I installed software for the Canon PowerShot S2 IS and it allowed me to download the photos by using the function "window of the camera."  Let me clarify that I wanted the date taken in the name of the file of the photo.  On my new computer with windows 7 if I can see that the camera is connected when I click on 'My computer', but when I use the camera window to download it says that it cannot detect the camera.

    The info might be useful:

The next document in Canon indicates that
"CameraWindow is no longer included in ZoomBrowser EX 6.6.0b or later.

He goes on to say the following:

"CameraWindow is available on the CD-ROM as a separate module. If necessary,
install CameraWindow from the CD-ROM supplied with the product. Note: the
Serial number of your Canon product (camera, printer, etc.) is required to
    Download this file.

Here's how to access this info... go to the following link:

    http://usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_g_series/powershot_s2_is#DriversAndSoftware.

Left click the "choose an operating system:" move the window, select Windows 7.

    Left click 'software '.

Left click the button 'Download' for "ZoomBrowser EX 6.6.0b Application"

This will display all the information on the download.

Also... an updated version was published on 30/03/11

Just a guess but maybe it would be interesting to try to install the update and
then reinstall CameraWindow from the CD provided with the camera.

Personally, I just download the pictures and rename them myself

Name with the date change can be done easily in a batch

Select the group from the newly downloaded (highlighted) and click with the right button on the first
    thumbnail or file name.

    In the menu... Choose... Rename...

The name of the first file... Type of...

    08/09/2011 (10001) .jpg

Press on... Enter and the remaining files will be renamed.

    08/09/2011 (10002) .jpg
    08/09/2011 (10003) .jpg
    08/09/2011 (10004) .jpg
    Etc...

  • Windows7 does not recognize my Canon Powershot ELPH HS 300

Windows7 does not recognize my Canon Powershot ELPH 300 HS, even though this is supposed to be a fully compatible device? The camera and scanner Wizard is not even burst for her... What should I do? I have a strange feeling that the Assistant camera and scanner never installed correctly and so I have absolutely no drivers of the device. Canon offers all the drivers for the camera as it is supposed to get all Windows 7automatically... I am in a real bind here. Help!

I've fixed since the question. The camera worked well and even connected to my other windows 7 computer operated when I realized the difference between my two computers is that I had windows media player installed on the second, not the first. Apparently the .dll files suitable for the use of the camera, etc. are part of the windows media kit, and I just installed it on the computer and tadaaa first machine works!  Thanks for your time!
