  I'm new to Captivate (this is only my third Captivate project) and have created a 9 Captivate presentation which was originally intended to be navigated manually during a discussion.  They loved the presentation so they want to make a video that will automatically play.  The problem that I am running is that the interaction of training widgets I've included work wonderfully in .exe (where they are manually sailed) but does not display the ancillary content when I publish the project in mp4 format.  (the final product must be in mp4 format)

  I don't know miss me some simple editing or sync settings.

  (Please don't tell me that it is impossible that I need to )

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  You don't always tell on what "interactions of training" you're talking about? If these are interactions like accordion, tabs, pyramid... you might consider these slides to record while you interact with them, using the video feature of Captivate demo. Such a cpvc-slide can be inserted into a cptx project.

• Problem with Captivate 8 and SumTotal learning LMS Maestro-

  I get white screen when lance course published under the title of SCORM 2004 using Captivate 8.  All the publication settings are identical to those used with Captivate 7 and all classes of properties and parameters are the same in the LMS as course published using Captivate 7. At the launch of course, instead of the opening of the route screen, a white frame appears showing the playback bar course and LMS navigation bar. Logon screen does not appear until the user clicks on the button play on the PlayBar. No idea why this is happening?  Here is a screenshot of the white frame.

  Because it worked, obviously, the Chrome issue 36 comes break HTML5 output.  I hope that the patch solves everything.

  I tried to connect the speakers on my other PC Windows 7 and it works, I tried 2 different PCI on the problem computer sound cards and still no luck.

  Front right, front left, rear right and rear speakers left are OK and will be made a sound of "hung" when I click on them in the graphical display, but from the center speaker, no matter what drivers I have installed, not quite sound...

• Captivate 8 and Neospeech works not

  I have 8 Captivate is installed and have downloaded the file .zip for neospeech.  Running the application file Set Up and the system tells me that everything is installed.

  When I start PC and look in the management of the Audio-speech there is no option of extra votes.

  I've deleted preferences several times without success and recently removed the preference (as indicated in other messages) and re-installed the neospeech... still nothing.

  Already checked the VT folder is C:\Program Adobe Captivate voices 8 x64\ with all voice records.

  I had the same problem.  I think it was because I downloaded & installed the 64-bit version of NeoSpeech and uses a 32-bit version of Captivate 8.   After that I downloaded & installed the 32-bit version of NeoSpeech, Captivate 8 was able to find all the NeoSpeech voices.

• multi-sco course and SumTotal

  I'm running into a problem with a multi-sco course. The problem is the following:
  
  When a user performs a sco first, Captivate sends the message 'complete' and all is well. If the user comes back to a sco they already realized (a review for the content), the user's status is reset to 'incomplete' again. They must work through the sco together again to get a full status... even if it doesn't seem to be compatible. Sometimes, whatever they do, they can't get it to be full again.
  
  No idea what is happening? I screw up a setting somehwere?
  
  I use Captivate 3 and SumTotal 7.2 Manifest Maker make my SCORM package. The sco 'reported' interactions throughout (areas of click and buttons), including the very last slide. There is no "marked" questions

  So, we found a solution. Let me reiterate first of all the problem (s):

  1. in the launch of a Captivate SumTotal stream, the completion status is immediately on 'Finish', even if the user is still interact with the course (the course has several slides and interaction "reported" on the last slide).
  2. for multi-sco, course, when a user makes the first sco, navigates to the next SCO, and then returns to the first sco again to examine, the user status returns to 'incomplete' to the first SCO.

  The patches involved adding additional code for the SCORM.htm model:

  I'm doing a Captivate project with video in it.

  I tried to use MP4, FLV and F4V but not video files will appear in google chrome.

  The project plays just without showing anything, but in flash, it works normally.

  If you are talking about the video not working do not out of HTML5, download your content published on a web server to test and make sure that the video files of your specific MIME type helped the web administrator.  Don't bother trying to test your local drive HTML5 content.  Always use a web server.

• Captivate 4 TTS Audio plays is not in published or ok in edit preview

  While watching my notices, project audio played on 5 of my 70 slides. (It worked fine before). He played Ok edit but not sound in preview or published. I tried to replace the audio using the button convert TTS and audio would replace the audio previous. Even remove the audio and dragging the new audio to the timeline would not work. I reinstalled Captivate 4 and TTS and it seems to work again a new projects, but I can't seem to fix my current project. Someone can tell if I can fix these slides, or have I damaged somehow these slides? This is a great project.  Thanks in advance

  If I've ever seen a questionable behavior like that on a slide and is not easily resolved with a reboot or publish again, I just re-create the slide and remove the 'old'.  It is often much faster to do so than the mud around trying to fix them.  If there is corruption on a slide, you don't want anywhere in your project.

• Commercial DVDs do not play on MacBook Pro.  "Not allowed" and "Supported disc not available" is displayed.  DVD plays normally when inserted in a different drive.

  When commercial DVD (NTSC) inserted in the MacBook Pro DVD Player error messages "forbidden" and "Supported disc not available" are displayed when I tried to play the DVD.  When the DVD was removed from the MacBook Pro and inserted into a different DVD player, it works normally, then the DVD was apparently not the problem.

  Delete ' ~ / Library/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist ' and a DVD player or reopen could solve the problem.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

  You can also check with the manufacturer of game for any version upgrade of this game, which could be compatible with windows7.

  These error messages can occur if you (or software) also disabled Aero. Aero must be on (and supported by the video card) to play Chess Titans. "192GO should be enough for everyone." (of the miniseries "Next generation jokes")
