• Captivate 9 tab order - Error #2046

  Hey everybody,

  Cannot access dialog tab order in Captivate 9.  When I select it I get a pop up box that is empty and an error message "Error #2046".  You need to resolve this ASAP.  Any ideas?  I have stop Captivate and r-open.  Did not help.  Start a new file and still the same thing.  Help, please!

• Pressing the Tab key activates the player controls

  I am simulating an application that requires the use of the Tab key. In Captivate, the Tab key is a shortcut for click box that passes just to the next slide. During playback when the tab key, in addition to advancing to the next slide, a player control button is activated as indicated that she has highlighted.   Thanks for your reply. I had discovered this information earlier, but still cannot get the application to work. In the end, it was of part of the solution. Here's what he had to do to things work:

  That would be my approach:

  • Create all objects in the pop-up window on the first slide, group them (Gr_Popup) and their time for the rest of the project, Place objects on verified top. Be sure to include the X button, which should be a button of form because a normal button cannot be programmed for the rest of the project. A form is also a text container, it may not be a problem.
  • Create a tip action "Mount" that you can run on enter for each slide to hide Gr_Popup, tip even action can be used for the X button. You could create an action as well, with one group setting.   Yes, did a lot of times (there was one of my first questions during the previews as well). There are different possibilities:

  1. Create the project of cpvc (video), publish it on MP4 and insert it into the MP4. This isn't my choice if I plan well before, because you must pass to the cpvc, if you want to change something in the video.
  2. Start with a cptx project and instead create a separate video, use the option insert record Slide, demo. The slide after registration will resemble a FMR slide, but you can change it of in the cptx file, the video editor you know since the cpvc files opens when you choose to edit the slide video. I mainly use this approach, but I have a lot of RAM on my desktop PC. Maybe not the best choice if the system is more limited.
  3. If the number of regular slides, project is especially video, you can add more static objects in the cpvc file directly. She will end up like a long video. My YouTube videos have been created this way.

  I tried to import a SWF in a newly created captivate movie video. In FLASH, I have a framerate of 8 ch, which means my film should take about 25 seconds. Now, when I import it into Captivate movie is only 6.9 seconds and my animation goes nuts. (Tweens are not very pleasant when they Flash by :-) in 0.2 seconds).
  
  Someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong or how can I prevent Captivate to bypass my swf movie?

  Captivate normally runs at 30 frames per second. It is not surprising that you see what you are. You take something designed for 8 frames per second and running it at 30. Looking so a little as he had about four shots of espresso!

  You have several choices. Increase the frequency of Flash images at 30 frames per second, re - publish and re - insert into Captivate. Or reduce Captivate at 8 frames per second. Or maybe a little at each end.

  To change the frame rate of Captivate, click Edit > Preferences... > project node. (Captivate 3) or project > preferences... > project (Captivate 2) tab.

  Hi, I use a HTML RH8 WebHelp output and try to customize the appearance of the best match of our product. I was able to create buttons that look like legs reflect our product, but I have a display problem in IE vs Firefox.

  My HR skin looking for fake-tab consists of the following:

  • Buttons that look like legs
  • A navigation bar personalized with a line running across the bottom, the same color as the tabs, so when a tab is selected read you more through the nav bar (high 50px)
    
  • A custom logo button I put in the left corner also has the line down to match the value nav bar (high 50px)
    

  In Firefox, everything looks great and all the lines of the elements at the height, like this:

  

  This line is nav bar + logo + tab selected resting on top.

  In IE, the logo gets bumped up to 1 or 2 pixels so that the line looks like this:

  

  It seems that * should * be a simple HTML fix, but I don't know where to go in all the HR files to solve the problem of alignment. I tried lining up all the buttons down, via the lean on the advice of skins, but that did not help.

  If I remove the line of the logo completely, I get a continuation of the navigation bar at the left of the logo, so the line stops and starts again, that looks weird.

  Any ideas? I don't know what files to look or what to do for them nicely aligned in two browsers. If I could add padding or do something to avoid this logo being hit in IE, I think it would solve my problem.

  For anyone interested in this topic, the problem was caused by the align attribute of the image used for the button. Here is a brief description of the solution. Note that this solution works perfectly for this particular problem. If you have a similar problem, you cannot simply paste the modified code, but it can save you some time searching for a solution.

  Standard vertical align images in the minibar or navigation bar is 'absmiddle '. FF and IE both make it slightly different. In this case, FF 1px too low and IE 1 or 2px too high.

  To resolve this problem, you must modify the getImage function in whtbar.js. This function is used for each image in the minibar or the navigation bar.

• Captivate 4: no tab advanced on objects of substitution

  I've seen references in, for example the Articles Adobe, the presence of a tab advanced for working capital as the rollover Image objects.  This would allow me to set a variable or an advance to the next page, whenever the user floats the pointer of the mouse over this field, useful when I'm simulating a JavaScript menu.

  However, the Advanced tab is not really, at least on my box.  No rollover Image, slidelet or rollover Caption.  Is it possible to trigger an Action on the reversal of an object any?  If not, how can I emulate a JS menu runs to redo the entire project in Flash?

  Rollover slidelets consist of two zones. One is the area of relaxation that you mouse above. The other is the area in front of the Viewer when they mouse over the trigger. The properties of the area presented do not have an Advanced tab. Only the properties of the area of reversal or 'trigger' make.

• Captivate 9 - text entry area - cannot navigate through the input of text boxes on the same slide using enter key (works only tab)

  I designed a slide that has 3 areas of text entry.

  I need the user to be able to type in their response to the first box and then press the ENTER key, it will pass them in the next text box. After typing in their response to the second box, press ENTER, and then have developed pass to the third area.

  I don't want to use tab, I want to go to work as a shortcut key, so this works well on all devices. It feels like a trip to the logic of the user.

  Indeed, your problem is related to the Enter key as a shortcut key, not to have multiple TEB and one absolutely validation button. Take a look at this article very old (you are not the first to ask about this):

  You can not stop HR add it, but you can remove it easily through your CSS. In CSS, add the following line:

• Tab key does not work for text input areas in Captivate 3

  I'm building a software simulation of training where I am using text input boxes.  Some use the enter as a shortcut key, some use the tab key.  Those who use the keys work well, failure caption works by forced entry when you press Enter, it advances to the next screen.  Those who use the Tab key does not at all.  The legend of failure does not work and the Tab key does not advance to the next screen.  I compared to those that work and those that don't work and I see no difference.  I set the text entry box to pause at the end of the slide so that it should not be a problem here.  I even tried to have the action 'to success"to be continue rather than go to the next slide and use a click box using the Tab key as a shortcut to move to the next screen - nothing helps!  Is it possible that the Tab key could have been turned off somehow?  I'm totally at a loss, please help!

• 8 - accessibility - Captivate tab order

  Where is the function "tab order"? I found "Accessibility" in the Inspection of the property, but where is the control tab function to control the order in which a screen reader "reads" interactive elements on the screen?

• Captivate continues through slides without a break

  I have a captivate project where I recorded a training simulation. I have installation of the first half of each slide with instructions and a box of clickbox, button or text of interaction. Nothing unusual here, I hope. The user gets 2 attempts to click or type instructions. Success, the text box of the clickbox/button/go to the next slide. If that fails, the clickbox box / / text of the button is set to "continue." For the part "continue" the blade, I have a box of climax and the mouse display what the user must have clicked or typed.

  This works really well most of the time.   Hi everyone who was frustrated by this problem (or maybe it's just me).

  So, by trial and error, I found a few things that have helped.

  -Areas of text entry with a tab as a shortcut and without button seem to be a problem. So I clicked on the button view and adding a transparent button with tab as a shortcut. Interestingly, I had to put the button below the entrance area of text on the page. I think if I did this, the tab is actually went to the address bar in Internet Explorer. If it is below the text entry area, then the next tab-able option on the page.

  -Take away the interactive object (BER or clickbox) 0.2 seconds at the beginning of the timeline seems to help (but not sure).

  -Advance the interactive object (organize forward) seems to help (but then again, not sure).

  What has not helped:

  -deletion and recreation of the interactive objects

  -deletion and recreation of the slide from scratch

  -duplicate slide

  -move the slide (for example 3 slides in initial position).

  I had this problem on courses that are 300 slides long and 30 long slides - it is more in the 300 slides file

  Hope this helps (no doubt this will help me next time this happens and I don't remember what I did to solve the problem). Rod thanks for all your help.

• Loading tab is often incomplete

  Hello team!

  First of all, I must stress that I like in general Firefox as browser. However, there are a few problems quite annoying in my version of it, I hope it's the latter! (Version 41.0.2)

  All of the following terms refers to open a new tab. I have 5 x 3 grid of my new menu tab filled my sites commonly used, but often only the first two lines are displayed (1 photo attached, although edited for security reasons, I hope that you can always understand me).

  Another issue is that Web pages that I opened in new tabs (I love my tabs) are often left half loaded, raw HTML remains for me to see, while the current generation of the website remains incomplete until I refresh the page. I have no picture of it.

  Finally, and maybe it's the fault of my mouse, clicking environment to open a link in a new tab (I love my tabs!) will open on two or three instances of the same tab.

  The first two issues occur only on Firefox, I have not noticed them on other browsers, but the last is consistent throughout, so to make me believe that my hardware is to blame. In addition, I did not tried anything with my modules to date.

  Hi, see if anything here helps: you can change the number of tiles on the page new tab in zoom in or back (Ctrl and + key, or Ctrl and - key).

  You can also keep the same zoom setting when a new tab is clicked: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.preload and double-click on it to change the 'value' of true to False.

  It is also possible about: config to change the maximum number of tiles, scrolling to the browser.newtabpage.columns (or Rows), then right-click > modify to set a new number of 'value '. - Editor of Configuration of Firefox.
