Although it seems to be a white border when you first fill the snip, after saving it shouldn't be present more.

If the border remains you can remove by using the crop tool on a photo editing programs such as integrated Windows Paint program.

  • How to print from the capture tool?

How to print from the capture tool?

    Hello

The Snipping Tool does not support print screen capture.

You must save the snip as image file and open it in a program that supports printing.

    Concerning

  • I have a problem with the capture tool works not properly on Windows 8.

Can I change to automatically let me start to select without clicking on New?

Original title: snipping tool - work when I start it up, the new button has already been clicked but not at home

    Clarification:

At work, my computer is Windows 7. At home, it is Windows 8. At work when I start the capture tool I have not hit any other button in order to start the selection of the area I want to Snip. The tool is already gray and my mouse is ready to score my selection.

At home when I start the capture tool, I get the menu, click on 'New' and THEN I can start my selection - one additional click. It annoys me (I know it's small, but I cut a lot) so I was hoping there was a setting I could change how it starts.

I know that's not exactly a new topic, but I found that I had the same problem.  I found that the cause of this problem actually comes from OneNote believe it or not.  If you have recently updated your Office Suite and now have the ability of OneNote, all you have to do is to open OneNote and configure.  Once you get it configured you can then select the options that you just press the Windows key + S to be able to cut out a screen shot and you can also set it to copy directly to the Clipboard, then there is no need to tap the new button more in the cutting tool.  Hope this makes sense and helps anyone having the same problems I had.

  • Alternative to Command + SHIFT + 4 more like Windows capture tool?

Before starting my work, I had only used Mac computers, so I'm very familiar with the CMD-SHIFT-4/3 option to take screenshots. However, for my work, I need to take a lot of selective screenshots in quick succession, including the CMD + SHIFT + 4 does not lend itself to the same way that the tool captures Windows (difficult to sort through all the images on one's Desktop without taking the extra time to label each). Does anyone know of an app, Chrome extension or another tool on the Mac that better mimics the tool captures, which allows to easily take a selective screenshot, paste, and start over without the extra step of traction frame on the desktop?

FWIW, command + control + Shift + 4 to create a selection, and then copy it to the Clipboard.

Command + control + Shift + 3 copies the entire screen to the Clipboard.

  • Desktop is empty when a new capture tool is selected

Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, Office Professional 2010.

By selecting a new tool in IE or Windows Explorer screen blanks.  I have run the System File Checker, run tool captures as a verified Admin.and that the Tablet-PC is turned on.  Although my graphics card is a Radeon 9700 Pro, I have the Aero features and solving the problems of transparency confirm that the system is good and Aero are activated.

    Hello

You can check if the third-party application is causing the problem. To determine which application is causing the problem, you can configure the computer to clean the start State and check if that helps. To configure the startup mode minimum State follow the link below.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hi Mr. Edgardo.

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

    2. What is the error message you get when the accident occurred?

    3. the application was working fine before on the computer?

    4. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

Please provide us with more information to continue troubleshooting as a result.

    Additional information.

Snipping Tool captures a screenshot screen of anything on your desktop, as an image or a Web page section. Cut an entire window, a rectangular section of the screen, or draw an outline freehand with your mouse or a stylus (or your finger, if you use a PC with a touch screen). Then you can annotate, save, or e-mail the image using the right buttons in the tool window captures. The cutting tool is available only in the Home Premium, professional, full and business Windows 7 editions.

  • When I open a file with photoshop cs3 only the capture tool is presented

I tried to click on the brush tools, or the crop tool, engraving tool and other tools... but only the snapshot tool appears waving to me.  I tried closing down and starting upwards.  I tried closing off and opening again.  I don't know what is happening but I've had this program for a long time now and he has never done that.  desperately looking for help with this!

You can re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

Note: When you use this solution, Photoshop will create a new preferences file and you will lose custom settings associated with your current preferences file. However, the file you rename in step 2 is your original preferences file. If you determine that the preferences file not the origin of the problem, then you can restore your custom settings by following the instructions below.

To re-create the Photoshop preferences file:

    1. Quit Photoshop.
    2. Rename the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file (for example, in Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp.old) in Documents and Settings / [username] / folder Application Data/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings.
    3. Launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new preferences file.

If the problem continues, the preferences file isn't the cause. To restore custom settings, delete the new preferences file and restore the original name of the previous preferences file.

    It's for CS4, but even for CS3.

  • The cutting tool will not work in trying to capture the menu drop-down

I've recently upgraded to Office 2016 from 2013 and since then my Snipping Tool will not work correctly. I can always capture what I want except for the drop down menus. Eight other users are connected to my network of the company; all Windows 7, all Office 2016 and it works on all the computer but mine. I opened the Snipping Tool, click Cancel (tried to escape, too), and then open the menu drop down, press Ctrl + print screen and nothing happens. Can someone help me?

I just thought of it myself. Used to work in previous versions using the Esc, then press Ctrl + print screen. Now, it's a little different.

    1. Your screen are preparing to capture you want, with the exception of the drop down.
    2. Open the capture tool and choose the type of capture you want (I use the Rectangle) and now the new part... Choose a delay for however many seconds you have to when you press New when you can open the drop desired down.
    3. Click new. (The capture tool will activate not to but the number of seconds you have chosen late.)
    4. Open your drop desired down and wait for the tool.
    5. Proceed as usual.

    Hope that helps!

  • Capture screen missing sniping tool.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.   It is supposed to come with a screenshot sniping tool.   Unfortunately, it is not in my system.  It is in the computer of my wife which has Windows 7 Home Premium.

The application is available from Microsoft to download & install.   Or is it on Windows 7 Installation floppies I have?

    Welcomed any & all information!

    Aaron in Hollywood N.

First of all, it should be here:

    Start-> all programs-> Accessories-> capture tool.

    If not do it please:

    1. open the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).

    2. navigate to the folder:

    C:\Windows\System32\

    3. find the file SnippingTool.exe and right-click on it and select Pin in the Start Menu, Pin to Taskbar or send to->desktop (create shortcut) as requires it.

NOTE: The folders Windows and System32 of the files that are important for the proper functioning of your computer. Do not make any changes to those files unless you know what you're doing.
