Card 3G and Bluetooth stack question - tecra M4

I'm having a problem getting a 3G vodafone card to work with a Toshiba Tecra M4.

The problem is that the card won't install properly on this laptop (with exclamation point appears in the Device Manager and additional ports appear under "ports", but none regarding 3G card - it should be two features of card 3G appearing in the section "ports" in the Device Manager - at least there on the Portege) card works fine on a Toshiba Portege.

The advice I received from the supplier was to disable the bluetooth card in the Device Manager, and then uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, then delete Vodafone software, reboot, and reinstall the Vodafone software. Finally to reinstall the bluetooth stack.

I followed these instructions and everything seemed ok (this appararurent device to be picked up correctly in Device Manager) until I reinstalled the battery bluetooth how I was in the box start.

Is this a known issue with Toshiba Tecras and you know any solution?

Hello

As far as I know that there is a new update for Toshiba Bluetooth Stack version 4.00.23
I recommend you to test. Perhaps the new version solves the problem.

In addition, you can visit this Web of Toshiba Bluetooth site:
http://APS.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

You will find a contact form to get in touch with Toshiba Bluetooth support.
There you can descript comments.

Good bye

    Hello

You need administrator rights to do this. Try in a different way:

    • Click Start
    • Type services.msc and press enter in the search box, it can ask Admin password
    • Locate the BT service and start, also keep is started automatically.
    • Click OK/apply to come out.

  • Conflict between Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and drawers of power on Tecra M5

There seems to be a bug in TosBtShell.dll and hope this alert could get fixed in a future revision. Possibly it will save others the effort that it has cost me to track down the problem on my Tecra M5 new. I had to give up Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and now using XP SP2.

When the Bluetooth Manager is running, TosBtShell.dll updates the element ' Bluetooth' beside ' send to ' in the context menu of files and folders. Unfortunately it is in conflict with the shell software improvement Power drawers http://www.dynamickarma.com/powerdrawers.htm that I defer to speed up access to my files on the computer. This software allows you to right click on a folder to view its contents in a list. Then you mouse to any folder in the list and give him also as a sublist - and so forth as deeply as you want until you reach the folder or file you want. Right click on an item in the waterfall and you get a list of useful options. However, if the Bluetooth Manager is running when you do the right click, power drawers breaks down and you must close and re-open explorer.exe to recover.

The conflict stops if you remove "to Bluetooth" in the context menu of files and folders. I proved this by using ShellExView from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html to disable the registry key "Bluetooth File extension" [sic]. This key is associated with the C:\WINDOWS\system32\TosBtShell.dll and the CLSID {6BEF3D0B-53F0-4b0d-B91C-C19ED3D4C9D1}. Unfortunately the registry key back again every time that you restart the Bluetooth Manager.

    Hello JohnBer

The only thing I can tell you about Bluetooth technology, it's that I use Bluetooth Toshiba Stack to connect to my mobile phone from Siemens. I sometimes use it as modem to check mail short and fast. I have no problem and the connection is fine. I use the wizard of a mobile phone is always properly recognized and I can use it without problem.

If you have some problems to make the connection between your device and some external device, it can be caused by some false setting. To make good configuration between laptop and mobile phone was not easy. As I said to check all the Bluetooth settings on both units.

    Hello

I checked with my Tecra M1 but in my case, the mem usage is a little bit lower (5 468 K) and the CPU is 00. I put really know why this happen, but the fact is that in your case it on 100 active processes running. I work with my Tecra very intensively and did no more than 60.

Back to the problem: have you tried to reduce the running process before enabling BT? Perhaps is there a resource conflict. Sorry but I have no other idea.

  • How to uninstall TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack and all the drivers?

Hello! I installed TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack of [here | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=download] or, more precisely of the [here | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=download-toshiba] (8.00.12 |) Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / Windows 7 x 32 | Multilanguage) (_I have windows xp_). I tried to connect my phone with it, but it didn't work the way I expected.

As I did not, I tried to uninstall, but I had problems there too. :( I was able to uninstall it from the Control Panel / Add-Remove programs and I also uninstalled in Device Manager, but it does not work too.

It is more drivers, and they are all on my system: in my departure much I option 'connect too', in the Panel, I "Bluetooth Local COM" and Bluetooth devices Manager also lights up while windows starts... I had to remove all those things, but I don't know how? Help, please!

Also, if someone could explain to me how to transfer data through your Toshibas Bluetooth, that would be nice too - in this case I would not uninstall it. Only in this case when it seems useless to me, these drivers are only bothers me. They spread throughout the system as someone wanted to hurt me! xD

Thank you once again, people! :)

    * EDIT *: I now have to stop bluetooth manager executed departure while windows starts, so now it's less a problem. I don't particularly want some unnecessary processes slow down my computer. On the other hand, there is a problem that I have not mentioned - the computer restarts it self without reason in some cases. However, it seems that these reboots are associated with uninstalling programs - especially during attempts to uninstall toshiba bluetooth stack. Anyway I'll examine this reboot problem a bit more tomorrow perhaps it relates only to install/uninstall these drivers toshibas.

the reason for the change: I forgot to say certain things

I use laptops Toshiba and Toshiba BT for years and I've never had no problem to connect my mobile phone using the BT software. I use it mainly to transfer data (photo made by mobile phone).
It is so easy to make the connection between the computer laptop and phone so I n t understand why you have all these problems.

If you n t need it disable Autostart BT software.

    You have for Toshiba laptop?

  • New: Tecra S1 and BlueTooth

    Hello!

I got my S1 last week. After starting it, it had BlueTooth Software etc installed already, but I haven't used STI. After installing WinXP SP2, I can't use.

I tried to install the Toshiba Stack 3,10, but after 56%, it requires that I turn on the BT device. Accordingly, I have set the switch on the front side and press FN + F8 and press 'ok '. But after a minute or two, it keeps demanding that I turn on the BT device.

    My model number is PT831E-67CUD-GR.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

    Lutz Gollan

    Hi Lutz

AFAIK utility TOSIHBA Bluetooth does not work properly with Windows XP SP2. Windows XP SP2 supports the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. If the user has not installed the utility and the TOSHIBA Bluetooth stack on the system, then the Microsoft Bluetooth stack will be installed with Windows XP SP2. After that the TOSHIBA Bluetooth utility does not work with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

I use Bluetooth too and there is no problem. Before you start Bluetooth Stack installation switch on wireless connection and with FN + F8 to compatible Bluetooth switch. After this try to install it again.

  • Mouse Microsoft Wireless Presenter 8000 and Toshiba Bluetooth Stack

Some of the specific features of the MS Bluetooth Mouse will not work with the latest Toshiba Bluetooth Stack: magnifying glass, digital ink...

The other functions of this mouse (and the remote control works too) work perfectly. The magnifying glass, ink, etc., work only if the MS USB controller provided with this bluetooth mouse is plugged.

Lots of material and forums sites talking about this problem, that is to say at the end of this page: http://www.hardware-pacers.com/pages.php?catType=r&pid=352&id=968&pageX=on

Is there a chance to have these functions (magnifying glass, digital ink...) working with a future version of the Toshiba Bluetooth stack? Any idea of a delay? Or any idea of a tip to have it working today?

I have a MS IntelliMouse. MS has delivered additional software called Intelli-point with it, that supports all the extra buttons of this specific mouse. So I set up my mouse with the stack of Toshiba and installed the software Intelli-point after him. Now all the buttons work.

So I guess the Wireless Presenter also comes with a software taking in charge additional functions of all what this mouse.
If so, do you have it installed?

  • Question about Toshiba Bluetooth stack V.4

    Hello

We have a laptop Fujitsu Siemens P7120 requiring the Toshiba Bluetooth stack located at http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/pages/download.php

When we install it in silent mode, installation occurs however the Bluetooth does not initialize to the exchanger of information Toshiba Bluetooth is launched!

Is anyway to complete installation without this another step?

You must use the BT-stack of the FSC. I also tried to install an OEM version of the BT-stack from Toshiba, but in this case, there was limited time. So check the item of menu "in context" to get further details.
