Carrier updates?

For two days I received messages on my iPhone 6s my carrier has an update.  Appears not anywhere that I can see under settings.  The carrier, cellular consumption says it's an update of IOS.  Does make sense for someone else?  This isn't the same message that I received earlier to update my iPhone 6 s.  Help?

Updates of the carrier can be done separately or with iOS updates. It updates the support files, which are files that the carrier uses to manage the device on their network. Once you see this notice, you can update the file. If you do not, then go to settings > general > about, and the prompt should appear again.

  • iOS 10 phone connectivity

Since the upgrade to iOS 10 a few days ago, I am unable to make/receive phone calls.

I noticed that I have zero bars/points at the top left of the screen. I have Verizon user to make phone calls. I know there is good connectivity in this area because the previous phone my wife with iOS has 3-4 bars.

Therefore, I'm unable to make or receive calls.

    Oddly, I get voicemails.

Is there something I should do to "reset" my phone on the new iOS operating system network?

Thank you! any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

It may help to follow the steps detailed here:

If you cannot connect to a cellular network or cellular data - Apple Support

They include the verification of carrier updates:

    • Go to: settings > general > about - you will be notified if an update is available for installation.
  • "No cell coverage" not listed in the use of the battery

During the audit of the use of the battery parameters, on an iPad 2 Air, WiFi and cellular, upgrade 10.0.2, 'No cell coverage' is listed and uses a lot of battery percentage. This never happened since the purchase of the iPad two years ago. I've recently updated to iOS 10.0.2 and T-Mobile as the cellular carrier. This occurs when the two Wi - Fi AND cellular data are turned off. I barely use the cell service as it is, first of all just use wifi, and I never leave the cellular data connection on when you do not. I noticed a few days ago a T-Mobile "Carrier Update" has been pushed to the iPad. Someone else with the same situation?

Hi there, stumped127! Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

Use of your iPad 2 Air indicates that it is looking for service even if you have data Wi - Fi and cell phone turned off after update to iOS 10.0.2. Given that mobile data is off, it shouldn't have an impact on the battery and I will be happy to help you with this. Be sure to test after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It is preferable "to have" one to the 'need' to a backup.

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first, quit all running applications, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPad settings - do not forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before you start. On your iPad, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step returns your iPad to factory default settings. Test and if that solves the problem, use your backup to restore your settings.

    Take care!

    Hello

Since a few days I have problems sending an iMessage using cellular data. Messages don't just send and the message app eventually uses normal text messages.

However, when my phone using Wi-Fi, the problem does not occur and the iMessages are sent.

    I tried the things:

    • Switch to airplane mode
    • Verify access to internet (works)
    • Reset
    • Turn iMessage and turn it on again + signing back with iCloud account
    • Audit of iMessage
    • Sign out of the account for the entire phone iCloud, restart and log in again.

  • The camera shutter closed unless I'm in the Mode Selfie

I have an iPhone 5 c to 2014. Some time back (honestly don't know when) I upgraded to iOS 9.3.2 and the new 'carrier' updated. When I've done that my function "flashlight" began to complain of being too hot and does not not (even when it was inside an air-conditioned building.) Then my camera started working 'not' on occasion, in other words, he wasn't reliable - it turns out that what I had was the shutter being closed on the rear camera and when I go to the camera front it will make selfies and selfie-video very well. I've erased everything, back to 'new phone' status and still no camera on the back side so I'm going back to my old restoration (yet 9.3.2 iOS).

Someone has an idea of what past? I mean, I'm over my 2-year contract with Verizon and now iOS knows I should get my new iPhone 6 + but I really love this monthly phone bill at low prices!

    Ciao, Dave

You see a black screen or a closed lens

If you see a closed lens or a black screen when you open the camera app, try the following steps:

    1. Make sure that there is nothing of blocking the lens from the camera. If you use a case, try to remove it.
    2. Force the application to close, then open the camera again.
    3. Restart your device, and then open the camera again.
    4. If your device has a front and rear camera, both cameras by tapping try . If you see the firm objective or black screen on one camera, take your device to an Apple Store or Service provider authorized to obtain assistance.

  • Why reset network settings affect networks WiFi on my Mac?

To try to solve issues with AT & T carrier update 24.2 IOS 9.3.2,and reset my network settings by suggestion from Apple If you can not connect to a cellular or cell - data Apple Support Network . As soon as I did, I looked at the WiFi signal on my MacBook Pro of retina disappear; and OS X then prompted me to reenter the information of my WiFi (no known network was available). I then checked my stored WiFi networks, and only attwifi and my work's current access point were (among many others who were already there).

I enjoyed the convenience of synchronization of my WiFi network on my iPhone and MacBook in recent versions of their operating systems. However, there was no warning that resetting the network settings on my iPhone would eliminate all networks on my MacBook Pro. There is also no warning on the page of the Apple website above of the present.

Is this a bug I should report? Since there is no mention of this side effect on the Apple documentation, I am inclined to think that it was not intentional.

Contact your carrier and make sure that your account is configured correctly. Then go to settings/general/to comments and press the network name; This will cause the exceptional carrier updates to install (you will see a dialog box saying if an update is needed). In addition, go to settings/general/reset - Reset network settings if none of these fix. You will lose the WiFi passwords, but nothing else.

  • Why is my new iPad Pro so more time to alert me on the texts then my other devices?

I recently bought an iPad Pro 9.7 inches and looks like a backup and restore of my iPad 2. I have also an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2. I noticed it takes about 30 seconds for my iPad Pro to get them then my other device. I checked all my settings and reset the iPad and it still does not seem a job quicker. receive calls via my iPhone was also not working (after checking all settings). also have had problems with the sending of sms messages from my iPad. Thanks for any help.

As you know the texts SMS are sent on the portion of cellular signal and are conveyed by the mobile phone service provider. The fact that it affects your phone calls and other messages on other devices - makes me want to suggest that you can be better to talk about this with your carrier

Also given that the SMS through the iPad is mediated through the service of text messaging on the phone via the continuity - I'd look for a carrier update see if available

  • Loss of signal on IPhone

Everyone knows the signal loss on the new IPhone SE? I have 2 of them and both have repeatedly dropped calls. All solutions?

    Hello vazqma33,

I understand that your iPhone is having a problem with the abandonment of the calls. Let's see if we can get smooth it.

I know of the iPhone is new, but it's always a good idea to check the carrier updates that might come your way. To check this, go to settings > general > on and wait for a few seconds. If it is available, you will be asked to update. Another thing to check would be the relocation of the SIM card in your iPhone. Take a look to the article below that will go on how to do when your iPhone have problems with of and receive drop calls.

  • BlackBerry OS 10.3 Q10

    SOS

I need help NOW! I tried to download the latest (10.3.1) OS for my Q10. My supplier tells me that it is not their business! Meanwhile, I tried all resources to try to download the update directly (have never received a notice that is available), and nothing works.

Please, please, help me! I would like to first of all using mixture, but it does not work with my current operating system (10.2.1.3062) and whenever I have "check for updates" it tells me I have the latest version of the software...

    Fed up, royally!

    Thank you

Sorry, I don't see an emergency SOS here.

To be honest, I'd wait. There are a lot of problems now and actually pulled some carrier updates.

I would recommend beta/flowing from CrackBerry.com. OS forum if you want to update your device unofficially.
