Cascade config Viodeo Simulator

Hi BB D,.

I installed the BB 10 Simulator and need any video how config, Simulator is not automatically detected...

Here is the relevant help:

Start your Simulator.   Find the desired IP address:

In Momentics, select a project that you built for the Simulator.  Select Debug as:

Add the new target:

Finally, select the new IP address in your list and connect (click on it, right mouse context menu Tools/Connect BlackBerry)

  • Simulation of control loops in cascade

I built a simulation of a control system of the engine using LabVIEW Simulation 8.2.  The controller has the traditional loop of current-speed-position cascading where each loop runs at a different speed.

The online help for the Simulation said the subsystems of simulation to inherit the timing of the main diagram.  How to set the speed of the internal unlike loops that loop main external?

In fact, I solved the problem by using a block zero order hold at the beginning of the diagram subsystem and time of sampling in the required period setting.

  • Cascading E3850 disables the config. page?

So I was pretty excited when I had just purchased a new Linksys AC2400 WIRELESS router because it would be a huge upgrade for me from the router D - Link DIR-615 cheap I had before. But now, because of what I consider a problem very serious design with the router, I am about to return and to ensure that his replacement doesn't have the same problem.

The problem is only on the difference in the use of Basic for the router, where there isn't that one router in your home and all your home devices are connected and the router is connected directly to the internet, I need this new router linksys with router-bridge cascading my ISP in my basement and it is impossible to do without the Web page of the router configuration (as well as some features of "premium" of the router) becomes unavailiable after setting up the network. This means that whenever I want to change a setting on the router, I have to restore the router to factory settings and restore the previous settings before I can make the change. This implies two reboots and a lot of hassle for something that should be achievable within a webpage of simple configuration at any time.

Let me explain how this happens. When you connect two routers and you want to have the same network on both routers, you must connect the LAN to LAN routers and disable the DHCP server on one of them. If I keep the DHCP server on the Linksys, I don't know why, gateway / router my ISP ceases to provide internet. Even if I change the LAN IP of the gateway to be within the range of the Linksys allocation DHCP IP range, all computers that never connect to the network get their DNS address automatically (it is empty). I was able to disable the DHCP and still no internet on bridge / router my previous ISP, so I don't think that disabling DHCP of the gateway must disable its internet (but for some reason, this is the case with the new access provider). So the only availiable is to disable DHCP on the Linksys router. While all cameras, wired or wireless, can connect to the internet perfectly in this configuration, by design (http://www.linksys.com/ca/support-article?articleNum=132275, search for "you will not be able to access the web-based configuration page" inside the page) This disables the page of the Linksys router but also some of the functionality of outlets like printer sharing (I have not tested other features can disappear as well).

While I don't dare argue that 'premium' functionality should always be available with the off DHCP protocol (although I strongly suspect that it should be possible to keep it available) of the fact that the configuration page disappears is a huge problem. This is because I know that as time passes I will need to change the settings here and there on the router such as port forwarding and storage sharing functions of the router.

And even if I didn't change the settings frequently, it of not fair for me to have (relatively) paid a lot of money for the router and must accept having to reset the router to factory settings everytime I want to change a setting.

I don't know why Linksys took the design decision to intentionally disable configuration page when the DHCP server on the router is turned off. The cheap D-Link router has managed to keep its configuration page to the top after I disabled the DHCP.

So I say Linksys, please remove this unnecessary limitations (disabling the page config. when the service DHCP disabled and if possible also remove the deactivation of value-added functions (printer/storage, sharing, etc.) when the DHCP service is disabled). You will not be able to correct them before my product back from the ends of the window, but if solve you this problem, I will look into your routers the next time I have to buy a new.

    Hello.

I solved the problem, fortunately. What is happening is that the linksys IP was on a different subnet that the ISP router assigned to the local network. Router of the ISP gave the address of 192.168.0.X subnet LAN but the Linksys is the 192.168.1.X subnet so anything on the network can access it. By changing the IP Address of the linksys to something in the 192.168.0.X subnet router I can access its configuration page now and all the features of "premium" of the router as the printer / hard drive/media sharing now work!

I had to do a lot of testing with my older router and ISP router to discover the problem. It was later that I learned the technical explanation of what was going on after looking upward.

What is the Linksys support page at http://www.linksys.com/ca/support-article?articleNum=132275 trying to say by saying "NOTE: when cascading of routers by using this method, you will not be able to access the configuration page of the secondary router web-based since it will have the same IP range as the main router.'? '" I do not know. But the page of the "secondary" router web-based configuration is still available after the waterfall it.

I have to clarify that the steps that I had to do to solve my problem wasn't in the Linksys guide linked above. The guide will make anyone trying to cascade on the routers default IPs are on different subnets (eg. Linksys 192.168.1.1 with Cisco 192.168.0. 1) have the same problem I did. The guide mentions changing the fourth byte of the "secondary" router IP (eg. the '1' in the 192.168.0. 1) so that they are different to the 'main' and 'secondary' routers, but it says nothing about the second router (eg. 192.168.0 in 192.168.0.1) IP subnet which must be the local network of the "main/primary" router subnet

Long story short, the official guide for Linksys I linked somewhere above does not cover a particular case when certain brands/models of router combinations are used and will not work in these cases. The guide should be updated so that the subnet of the IP address of the router being cascade is the same as that of the main router's LAN.

So, I'm sorry Linksys to say something that was wrong on your products. Your routers do not hell their configuration Web page when their DHCP is disabled or when mount you them cascading, but the guide to http://www.linksys.com/ca/support-article?articleNum=132275 does not correctly handle routers whose default subnets are different.

    Thank you for your help

For some reason, the generation of Simulator orders are commented in the weatherguesser sample in the Makefile:

    simulator:
    # No x86 version of cascades available, yet.
    # $(MAKE) -C ./x86 -f Makefile all

    Simulator-Debug: Makefile
    # No x86 version of cascades available, yet.
    # $(MAKE) -C ./x86 -f Makefile debug

Simply uncomment the lines so it looks like this:

    simulator:
    # No x86 version of cascades available, yet.
        $(MAKE) -C ./x86 -f Makefile all

    Simulator-Debug: Makefile
    # No x86 version of cascades available, yet.
        $(MAKE) -C ./x86 -f Makefile debug

  • Library of cascades - lost in space

I'm working on two projects using Baath (Backend as a Service) of native applications of Cascades renamed.

There are several Baath - providers out there, but the SDK / BB10 missing libraries.

So I'm working on Baath - BB10 SDK work with Kinvey and StackMob.

Kinvey is almost finished, but they changed their pricing model, so I went to StackMob.

Two software development kits will be published on GitHub.

If you use Baath, generally you'll use more a project, so it would be preferable to provide as libraries.

    The story begins now ;-)

I read that many threads HowTo create libraries of stunts, found outdated KnowledgeBase articles and many tips does not. My library will contain C++ both Qt and active, so I decided to start with this GitHub project

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/Cascades-community-samples/tree/master/Cascades-library-template

    provided by Isaac Gordezky.

    Library

I followed the README.md and imported the "MyLibrary" project as first draft. Then I made the recommended changes:

    • project renamed to baasKinveyLibrary
    • edited the Makefile: QMAKE_TARGET = baasKinveyLibrary
    • Edition mylibrary.prf: baaskinveylibrary {... LIBTARGET = baasKinveyLibrary...}
    • MyLibrary.pro renamed to baasKinveyLibrary.pro
    • MyLibrary.PRF renamed to baaskinveylibrary.prf

Then I deleted the content of/SRC / include liabilities and copied my all in / include, .cpp in / SRC and my possessions in liabilities

My classes need some libraries, so I inserted in the .pro

    LIBS +=-lbbdata - lbb - lbbdevice

and now the library generates error-free. Seems that I did it just for the library.

Question: to build for debugging of the device, device-liberation, Simulator-debug I had to do this each after the other: setActive-construction... Is there a way to do this at the same time?

Question: the library was created with version 1.0.0 - where can I change the versions?

    Application using the library

edited: thanks John Murray, I learned that it is the really easy part:

Configure | Add the library | Library in the workspace project

check in the project of the library and include folder

    and it's MARKET

Now, I wanted to test if you can use the library. The Readme.md has unfortunately no clues, so I inspected the model - project MyLibrary and tried to do the same to a new project.

    Here's what I did:

    • change the project properties:
    • Projects referenced-> project baasKinveyLibrary verified
    • C/C++ General | Paths and symbols | References-> baasKinveyLibrary activated for all configurations
    • edited the .pro file: CONFIG += qt warn_on cascades10 baaskinveylibrary
    • Makefile: added between I18_DIR_ and include:
      • QMAKEFEATURES = $(CURDIR) /... /... /baasKinveyLibrary
        export QMAKEFEATURES
    • Edition of bar - descriptor.xml | Assets:
      • added for all configurations: ... /... assets/baasKinveyLibrary / ${workspace_loc: / baasKinveyLibrary/assets}
      • added for debugging the device:... /... /baasKinveyLibrary/arm/so.Le-v7-g/libbaasKinveyLibrary.so.1.0.0
      • and so on for the other configurations

Question: all this must manually? I missed something?

Now I tried to use the library, but could not be one of the headers of the library project

Analyze the Structure of project-App - and I notice that /Includes is missing the library, where the model-sample-App, the library was there. So it seems I missed something.

From another thread, I found a trick to use INCLUDEPATH. Curious - this has not been used in the model-app, but I tried and inserted in the .pro of my application:

    INCLUDEPATH +=... /... / baasKinveyLibrary/include

Now the library was found inside /Includes and I could not #include OneOfMyClassesFromLibrary.hpp in my application.

    was happy to resolved but...

Building my app, I got an error:

    QObject & QObject:detector =(const QObject&)' is private

and now my library has an error in the header file "in this context.

Now, I don't know what could be wrong. Any ideas? Please have in mind that I come from Java and I am not C/C++ guru ;-)

BTW: I don't really understand why the creation and use of a library are so difficult.

    Hi ΕΚΚΕ,

Many questions :-). On the point where you add your library to your application, I find that this way is probably less error-prone:

The QObject & QObject:detector =(const QObject&)' point is private, this looks like an assignment operator to allow you to assign a QObject to an another QObject. You will get one of them to one of your Qt objects that I'm guessing that you have in your library. You "likely to see such an error if you try to access the attributes of an instance of a class without going through a context either through 'this', or explicitly as foo-> re... I have seen that if a C API uses a callback mechanism and the recall code is not greater awareness of the a pointer to the class instance, it tries to use. Can't say much more without seeing the code.

To connect the module, add this line to your qmake .pro file:

  • Simulator works; Cannot run app (BB10 10.0.9.386)

[My apologies if there is another thread that treats this exactly, but I can not find one - outside it with a subject not descriptive.]

I have recently implemented the dev environment 3 beta on my Mac (after you have uninstalled the previous, I had not had the chance to really use it). The similator seems to work well. The works of browser and I can't telnet in (although I get 'permission denied' for ssh).

However, when I try to configure the development environment, it fails to connect. What I'm running is a project of Cascades base the "hello world" by default that is created when you create a new project.

    • NETWORK card in NAT mode Simulator:
      • Can telnet to the IP address at the bottom left; The fine Simulator browser works
      • Auto-Discovery detects the Simulator, but the connection fails
      • Not got an error when downloading Simulator debug token, but the status remained to something like ' not installed or date in the future. "
    • NETWORK card in bridged mode Simulator
      • Can telnet to the IP address at the bottom left; The fine Simulator browser works
      • Auto-discovery does not detect the Simulator, but manually enter the IP address works
      • Downloading the debugging token worked
      • You try to run that program, first gives me the error "a network error occurred all. by communicating with the target  Perhaps as a result 10 second backoff period of the device since the last login, please try again. »
      • Try again gives me: "unable to connect.  Make sure USB cable or Wi - Fi is connected, the IP address is correct, and the mode of development. »
      • After forcing a reboot (where is the reset option in the Simulator?), the debugging token is not found in the config of the target, but the download even once, it seems to work.
      • The target always has "(non connecté)" beside her in the run Configuration dialog box. "

    I use VMware Fusion 5 on OS X 10.8.2.

I tried to activate the option in VMware allow the virtual machine to use profiling hooks, but the Simulator embarks, then I disabled again.

On the Simulator, developer mode is on, but shows the IP "169.254.0.1". Troubleshooting doc said if this is the case, try disabling and re-enabling the adapter. Which does nothing (and restarting does nothing) and this address seems to be configurable in 169.254.0.0/16--il doesn't seem to be the execution status info. "Subject > network" shows the good IPv4 address.

I put a password for the device. The access settings to the "storage &" have effect? (I changed to match what I use on my PlayBook, and I can copy files on via the Finder).

I am at a loss. Really local wish that Jam BB was not while I was away on vacation.

OK, how to delete this question?

Somehow through the stages of "create your first project", I missed the instructions on the selection of the target generation and had left at the default value, which obviously does not work on the Simulator.

  • Orientation lock does not not in Blackberry10 Simulator

I use the BB10_2.1.1055 Beta Simulator for my application. I'm developing an app for blackberry 10 webworks. I put this attribute in my file Config.xml. But always in the Simulator, I can see my request to change to landscape mode when I change the orientation of the device. someone help me.

I guess you can ignore it. Setting the locking device of the orientation on a real device will prevent the signal has changed emitted orientation, so your application will ever receive, but if you send that signal to your simulator using the remote or by pressing the bottem right corner, the signal will BE emitted and your app will respond to it as usual.

  • Who should be subjected to the App world, Simulator or device?

    Hello

I use the SDK of webworks for BB10 command-line to package and sign my apps. I found 2 subfolders named "Simulator" and "peripheral" generated.

My first question is what should I submit the .bar file in the subfolder "peripheral" in appworld?

In addition, the .bar in "Simulator" folder works fine once deployed on the BB10 Simulator. I'm trying to deploy the file .bar 'device' folder on the Simulator, but there is a dialog error popped up. I don't know if it will happen in the event of physical device, because I have no alpha device yet.

Here's some of my file config.xml

I have an alpha device and only use the "Device".bar files to test my apps. Works very well on alpha machines.

  • Debug vs version relies on Simulator

I am writing an app of Cascades/C++ native BB10 using the Momentics IDE on Mac OSX 2.0.

I would like to have a "Debug" version which includes additional code to check the internal inconsistencies and additional test functions (which will make the app run slow) and a "release" without any additional code (so it will run faster and be smaller and not to let users do things that they are not intended to do).

I think I can use the QT_NO_DEBUG macro to toggle additional code.  Am that I on the right track here?  Is this the "path BB10"?

I chose "run Release' instead of 'Run' in the IDE, clean and build, but I don't see - DQT_NO_DEBUG in commands in the Console window she built.  When it runs on the Simulator, I get no qDebug() results in the Console window, so something must be different.  I added a SystemDialog to tell me if QT_NO_DEBUG is enabled or not, and it is always disabled.  I have not yet tried on a real device.  I need to work on the Simulator, but also a real device.

While browsing the Momentics IDE 2.0, I see references to "Device-Debug", "Device-Release', 'Device-Profile',"Simulator-Debug"but not"Simulator Release.  Why not?

(I get this list by right-clicking on my project in the Project Explorer tab, build some Configurations/manage... which shows a "Manage the Configurations" dialog box with these listed configurations.)

I have created a new configuration called "Simulator Release" copying "Simulator-Debug" and makes it the active configuration, but I don't see how to edit to add - DQT_NO_DEBUG and change the optimization levels, etc.

When I right click on my project in the Project Explorer, run as / Run Configurations...  I get a dialog box that allows me to select a target (named as: MyApp run_release sim_10_2_1_3175), where I can change the Configuration to build my new Simulator-Release, but then the field to "binary:"running on empty, and won't let me change it. "

I also see references to a record like 'x 86/o-g' (which I think is where he puts the debug version), and also a folder called "x 86/o" (which is where I assume she would have a Release version).  I guess correctly here?  Why do we have references to the ' 86/o x' without configuration generate to here?

I hope that this kind of thing would be a little easier, or even built-in when I created at the origin of the project, but I've been googling and try things for half a day with no luck.

Can you tell me some examples step by step how to do what I'm doing?  I have used many IDEs and other construction systems in my day, but I'm pretty new to Momentics/Eclipse.

    Thank you for any input,

    Ed Federmeyer

    Follow up more!

Duh!  I realized all of a sudden!

Rather than include mk/cs - base.mk Makefile for my project, I can COPY cs - base.mk in a local version in my project (cs-base - custom.mk for example) folder, WHICH include and put my additional targets in there, without the need to override the 'clean' target, which means no makefile warning more!

    Happy, happy days!

  • Problem with HTTPS on Simulator

    Hello.

I try to run my application on the Simulator and a certain problem.

My app works with the Dropbox service. In the attempt of the call to the service according to the HTTPS protocol, application reports any breach in SSL dialog box. I tried to appeal to a service site via the browser (also on HTTPS). The browser has offered to accept the certificate. After acceptance of the certificate the new browser trying to address of a site, but is closed in a few seconds.

How to solve this problem? If there is such a problem on the BlackBerry Playbook device?

    Hello idiom.

use the https protocol, you must set the SSL configuration on your application before you send it. For example...

            QSslConfiguration config = request.sslConfiguration();
            config.setPeerVerifyMode(QSslSocket::VerifyNone);
            config.setProtocol(QSsl::TlsV1);
            request.setSslConfiguration(config);

    See you soon

  • browser Simulator simpak 5.0 9530 and cards work do not

    Hello

I use the simpak Simulator 5.0 9530 and can't get its browser application and maps to work.   The browser says it can't connect to the MDS (Yes, I checkied in the run configuration) and the maps app loads not all cards - also my calls to Locator.geocode (addrInfo, null) return no result in the SIM but it does on the real device. Unfortunetly I don't the real device all day to make my tests on I need the SIM to work just to test and debug my app.

I also tried the sim 9700 but get a crowd of nullpointerexception on the screen I want to test (I scroll the different EditFields on the screen - the exceptions which do not get triggered on devices 9530 or the real (a storm 9550).)

So, how can I get the application browser and maps to work?   I tried to check the MDS and set/clean-flash in the bat file - but nothing works.   My application uses http connections which usually work as it seems particularly strange that the browser does not work.  And so we do not use a proxy for internet access.

I use eclipse 3.5.2 plugin 1.1, Smartphone BlackBerry 5.0.0\5.0.0.419 simulators (9530), Windows XP pro sp3, latest java, java compliance 1.3 value

A little more information, the screen that I have tested has fields for the user to enter an address.  It has also two buttons - one who evokes the maps app centered on the address entered by the user (geocoded) and the other which records the location indicated by the user as the default location to be used by the app for various things (for example find nearby stuff here).  I have also a menu point which copuies a location since the paper and tries to use it to fill in the fields on the page - so if a user shows its maps app to a place and uses the * copy location * menuitem - it can then paste this location into my application.

The MDS - CS Simulator fails to start because another application is already using port 8080, which means that it uses to accept connections push.  You can close the other application, or change the port used by the MDS - CS Simulator.

To change the port, the MDS - CS Simulator uses edit the rimpublic.property file located in the directory below and change the value of the WebServer.listen.port parameter by an unused port.

    Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack#.#.#_#.#.#.##\components\MDS\config
