  Hi Chris,

  I think that for older versions of Tuxedo, you must contact Oracle via My Oracle Support (MOS) and request the kit.  You will need to let them know what word you want, e.g. size, 32-bit or 64-bit.

  After getting my Portege M400 working to my satisfaction on Windows, it's time to install Linux before I get bored!

  I booted from a Linux installation CD (Gentoo, to be precise) and outside of him take me a while to understand that the 2.6.17 simple kernel does not work on the M400 and switch to installation CD containing an older kernel, everything important seems to be perfectly detected.

  The hidden partition is not known to me on Portege M400 Unit.
  Of course some other laptops as a series Qosmio support a partition hidden due to the Qosmio player or other portable because of the Express media player.

  Usually the restore CD erase the whole HARD drive also partitions created.
  The old version of the recovery CD contained two recovery modes: standard and expert mode. With the expert mode, you were able to choose the partition where the OS is to be installed. I don't know about the recovery with the RECO m system CD.
