Case of blackBerry Smartphones? The ringer volume?

Hi just got my first blackberry yesterday and I'm a bit confused about two things... I hope someone can help.

First of all, what exactly is the case... I noticed on some of the volumes alert there one in and out of the Holster option. I was wondering what it means? I know that is the case, I am just confused with the thing of the entire volume.

Second, is there a way to lower the volume of the ringtone, I know that you go to profiles and I have it on normal and the ring tones and text are very LOUD. Is there a way to lower these volumes other than silenting them.

OK, I lied three things...

in the profiles, which is the only option of phone for?

I'll try and these for answer you.

1 case is the black leather cover that is in the box when you bought your BB. It has a magnet on the front which puts your BB sleep when it is inserted and prevents dust and bumps occur.

2. volume of the ringtone, go to options and scroll down to the tip and you won't be able to adjust all volume, ringtones, etc. of their each profile.

3 phone only option is exactly that. Only the phone will ring at least before you change the tones/Ringer.

I hope this helps.

  • Volume buttons control only the ringer volume

It seems that the volume buttons on the side of the phone just control the ringer volume. On other Android phones, ringtone and Notification volumes have been linked together for ease of use.

On the Droid Ultra/Maxx, there are four different volumes: media, ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. And none of them are interconnected. It is extremely annoying for many reasons, the main reason being there is no easy way to lower or increase the volume of ringtone and Notifications at the same time by using the volume buttons.

The ring volume is adjustable to the max, but the text message sound will be very quiet. Or the ring volume can be set down, but text message noise will be very strong.

Is it possible to fix this?

  • Treo800w does not use the ringer volume, I put

I have my "phone: known caller ' setting on the standard Treo ringtone type ringer which is preinstalled on the Treo800w." I have the 'ring type' in the Ring, but no matter how high or low, I set the ring volume, that sounds only when the volume control low when a call comes in.  He is so weak that I miss basically every call. I tried to change other ringtones and the same thing happens.  The ringtone seems to work fine when the ringing type is set to 'Increase the circle' but that started to be so weak that it increases not the ringer volume enough before the call to your voicemail.  I need my ringtone to use a volume of your relatively high ring setting. Everyone knows this?  If so, what do you have to solve?

I got an answer to this, of Paulcalif, in another thread: "have you tried"restart"by removing the battery and put it back in.. ' Try adjusting the volume all the way first, then it reboot. »

Lil Red: This seems to have worked even though I still think that there is a bug in the software.  If I set the ring volume to a different volume level, the phone doesn't seem to not answer. Well, as long as it sounds strong and most of the time, I'm good to go.

But each server has it's own email address but all alerts are sent to the same email address.

I migrated to a Moto Q to a Blackberry 8330.  The Q had a "Trill" ringtone that was strong enough so that I can hear.  Can anyone recommend an unpleasant ringing, or no one knows where the ringing of the trill, who hails from the Q?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Well, you can choose music you hate and make a ring tone

On your BB you configure to use the FORT profile and put all your tones for the great?

If so and you do not always hear them, I would go on the site of the carrier that had the obnoxiouz of trills and see if

they sell it as a ringtone. Is must be in the proper format. In fact, here a list of the formats supported for the BB.

  • Palm alarms of the GER. It will trigger the alarm even if the ringer volume is silent?

I just upgraded to Palm Pre.

I work in an office environment in which we have our rings off, which usually means the week of work my ringer is off and I just have on vibrate so I can feel it in my pocket when a call or text comes in.

With previous phones if you set the alarm, the alarm would still off and make it sound, even if the ringer is turned downwards.

PRE alarm will always be sound or I'm going to increase the volume of the ringtone to the top every night before I go to bed?  My charger is my bed so hung up that the charger is not a problem.

Yes always audible alarm if the mute button is on mute, unless the settings in the preferences of the "clock" is not to do so. Open the app clock, the menu drop-down, select Preferences, there is a new option added in one of the latest improvements. 'Ringer turn off' > 'Play the alarm even when' > 'YES '.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Low ring volumn

Recently given a blackberry 9000 and fell for T-Mobile. Noise is loud, but I can't always hear the ring when in the Holster.  Sound can be reactivated?  What is a characteristic of 9000?

Ringtones are everywhere.  Hat over the www.crackberry.com is a way to go.  Also, you should be able to get ringtones from your provider.  I have never installed it on my phone so I'm not an expert in the field.

With respect to the frequency of the rings, the fact that you are now running on another network shouldn't matter.  Carriers dictate how long a ring will go before going to voicemail, but except that they are all pretty much standard.

EDIT: Well, I just visited www.crackberry.com and downloaded the Hockey Night in Canada theme (free).  It was pretty easy to do, it doesn't cost me anything, it sounds good... I guess I'm an expert on the subject now!

  • Database of blackBerry Smartphones the address book not available for synchronization

... "For help to resolve this problem, refer to KB19454 in the Knowledge Base of Blackberry Desktop Manager".

I did, and it says this:

Cause 1: the BlackBerry smartphone does not contain the PIM application you are trying to synchronize with. For example, the screenshot above error has occurred as a result of the application of tasks is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Then, of course the BlackBerry has the address book app installed, and if it wasn't the cause.  I followed some of the sons of other related expenses and came up with nothing.

I synced before - first time that successfully, this worked great, the second time that he kept failing, so I changed the setting to REPLACE my address book on the BlackBerry each sync, who has worked several times, and now this.

    GRRRR... of ideas?

Worked like a champ, with the only exception to the process.  When I looked at my address book to the end, he had more than one entry for each record.  So I went back to the process, but this time, before you reconnect and resynchronize, I deleted manually additional entries - for some reason, they were still there, even though I "erased" address book information!  I'm guessing that these entries were originally a part of the problem.  Anyway, once deleted I've reconnected, resynced ' by replacing ' content of the BB for the address book - and now I have great 2-way synchronization job. "  Thank you!

  • THE RINGER VOLUME?

Anyone know how loud the ringer is?

I need a very strong ringtone.

I'm all in with everything else.

One thing that you can do - if your hearing is compromised at all and you know what frequencies are best for you - you can search through something like Zedge and find a ringtone that happens to fall into your best range of hearing and see if that helps.

I find one of sonar "pings" to be the best for me - even in high noise environments.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones The JVM 102 error with a touch...

If I get the dreaded error 102 Reset JVM on my Pearl 8130.  I've searched the forums and the common suggested solution is to connect the blackberry to the computer and run the application loader in Desktop Manager.  I downloaded the latest version of DM and have downloaded the software later exploitation of my provider's site.  When I start the application loader, it shows my PIN and request a password for my device.  I still can't remember a password.  So I tried everything I can think of.  No matter what password I put in the list of applications is rising and I take what I want to load.  When I click on "Finish", after a minute or two to try to connect to my blackberry, I get this message:

"The desktop charger is unable to connect to the device.  You may need to enter the password on the device. »

The problem is that I can never remember set a password for this phone in DM.  So I have no idea what password they might require.  I tried my standard password for everything, "blackberry", my phone number and tried without password.  The password is still here?  Any help would be greatly appreciated I feel cut off from the world without my blackberry (I know, it's a problem).  Thank you!

I thought about it!  The first thing I did was to download the latest versions of the software of the device (something Verizon 4.3) and Office Manager (v. 4.5).  As ever, I remembered having to enter a password before, I uninstalled 4.5 and redownloaded the previous Director of office version 4.3.  He never asked a password and I was able to reload applications and we're back running.  I lost all my contacts from phone, but better than having to pay $50 for a new franchise!  Thanks for all the help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone rings twice, then voice mail active. Help, please...

    Hello

I have a problem where my 9500 Storm during the reception of incoming calls, ringing twice and then clicks right in the mailbox. I checked my cell voicemail box configuration providers and everything seems correct (I'm with Vodafone España). I placed my SIM card in an old Nokia and resonates about 4 or 5 times until the voicemail comes into play. My conclusion is that it is a phone number. Is this good?

Is this a bug or do I have to change something in the settings of the phone?

The phone is set with old style phone by default.

    I'm under the new firmware.78.

    Clues?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Thanks for your advice. You are absolutely right. My mailbox has been set to activate after 15 seconds the ringer. I rang my Storm from my landline and two rings passed before the phone responded. On the third ring vibrée the storm. On the 4th ring, you could hear the ringtone. The fifth, a break in the ring. And then the sixth ring again. Date on which 15 seconds had elapsed and the voicemail kicks in giving the impression that the storm had rung only twice.

Now, I asked my carrier to extend it to 30 secs and all right.

    Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry smartphones the buttons on the right side just below the ear phone jack?

They are just for the zoom of the camera or they also act as volume control?

There must be some kind of misunderstanding. He said his only control volume, he dint specify what volume. He could have talked about the music (which I don't think he was) or talk about the overall volume of calls, which no one can control with these buttons must be a sound profiles

  • BlackBerry smartphones the volume

    Hello
I want to adjust my volume of BB 8820, but I can't do it.
On the phone, I click on menu; Click on options; and then I can not find the General options.

So, what wrong with my BB?
    Please, give solutions.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards

Be more specific. You must either go to profiles or just use the volume key on the side of the phone during a call. You can also set the default call volume.
