  The DCR-VX2100e is equipped with S video connections / V connection in addition to the iLink connection. You can use one of these methods to connect and transfer the content depending on the video card in the PC.

• capture audio from an old tape recorder.

  I wear it in front of you I have connected an old tape recorder with me to my PC to capture audio from the recorder. I did not understand how to capture the audio later.

• Archiving old videotapes with Windows Media Player

  I've got about 200-250 tapes at the time CD. I am running Windows XP Home Edition service pack 3 and Windows Media Player 11. I want to scan my old collection of tapes, rather than payagain for a bunch of songs that I already have. I have all the cords, cables and whatnots connect tape of my stereo with the computer. Is there a way to save all my old tapes to my computer without having to buy a bunch of new equipment?

  It's a little more complicated than that, but not much. There are a few ways to do this.  You will need to get a different cable.

  Not sure on a Mac, but it is possible under Windows, so it should be pretty similar. You will need a type of software that you can use to connect to a cassette player. You also need some hardware to go between the cassette player and digitize the signal and then save them on the computer as an audio file to the computer. Once you have done this, you can burn the audio files to a CD. You will need to check the features of the Mac and then see what other types of software and hardware that you need.

  My Qusmio G20 manual says features "Port Monitor" as a line in "Port to connect an audio device. However, I have connected my computer cassette player output ports "monitor - at the port" with the proper cables and jack and get no signal/Ribbon playing through the computer speakers.
