  Addition to the response of Srini, you know that there is a new view in g 11 responses to display SQL logic? Just choose in the analysis-> results-> new view-> other-> SQL-> Standard SQL logic views.

  Now, we have an obligation to upgrade 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.5... For that we are palnning to install 11.1.1.5 on another machine and move the RPD
  and 11.1.1.3 to the new system catalog... It works perfectly or do we need to make changes...
  
  I've implemented it machine windows where KPIS work correctly but scorecards are throwing error Odbc...

• RMAN catalog migration

  I have a generic question here. What happends if a database of catalog is migrated. I mean if I have a database that is used as a catalogue for other 20 databases, and I migrate, y at - it a problem on the databases to restore from the catalog? If I migrate a database, a week after that I have a migration of the catalog database, and then I need to restore a database to a time before the two migrations, y at - it no problem with database catalog?

• Siebel migration of OBIEE

  Hi guys
  With the help of experts on the OTN forum - John Minkjan and Christian Berg. I was able to migrate the style sheets. But now I have a small question. The police in Siebel is very clear and sharp. Where is not like the police of OBIEE that loud and clear. How can I have the same clearity in OBIEE. I did OBIEE to point to the style sheets in siebel. Even after the sharpness is still missing. Specially the font for captions in the charts. Kindly help.

• OBIEE 11G: security when migrating to 10 G problem

  I've just migrated from OBIEE 10 G to OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on a windows platform. I have configured my LDAP and you can see all of my users Active Directory in the weblogic console. I set up the BISystemUser on our Active Directory as well as in the tool of the EM. I initially could connect as long as user "weblogic" but have no administrative rights (couldn't see the Administator link in analytics), but I found that if I connected directly in the catalogue group of analytical management area and BIAdministrator in the Presentation Server Administrator group rights added then that would give me the Admin rights for the user "weblogic.
  
  My question is:
  After the 10G migration why I am I always saw all my groups of 10G catalog such as presentation server administrators? I do not see these users in Enterprise Manager, and I don't see how I can manage these groups to 11G. I would want my 11G installation not having any ideas 10G security but don't know if I can simply delete these former groups through the Director of Analytics link since I had to add the BIAdministrator group for the Presentation Server Administrator group.
  
  Everyone knows about this problem? Any thoughts on how I can clean it up to finish my migration?

  Hi Jeff,

  Oracle is providing backward compatibility of the groups of catalog for customers who are upgrading to 10g and 11g, but intend depricating them in the near future. So what you see in the section catalogue groups is valid and are not transferred to the application roles that's why you see not in enterprise manager.

  So the flow goes like this: user > groups > roles. You also have your catalog in OBIEE version.5 groups to manage your security at the object level.

  At this point, its really your decision to get rid of the groups catalogue (if you are using the version 10g for object-level security) and create respective application roles and manager your object level security data and their use.

  We have recently migrated to OBIEE 11 G. After the upgrade of my catalog, I found a few columns in reports are rendered unmodifiable and column header, says "column group (by default: column xyz).
  We are unable to modify/remove/change formula for these columns.
  
  Can someone please explain to me, that is that fair!

  Cool... I have also encountered this kind of error long back... Follow and fortunately we it will be solved.

  A problem with the constraint or the Index after the upgrade of the catalogue in 11 GR 2

  Remove the constraint, if available, otherwise check index, if found the drop... Rest is history...

  First, check the BRL_U1... It can be constrained or an index on the catalog database.

  May be it's problem... the compulsion was abandoned during the catalog migration process, but the corresponding index has not been abandoned.

  The catalog DB:

  -Removal of the index

  SQL > connect rman.

  SQL > select * from user_constraints where constraint_name = "BRL_U1";

  SQL > select * from user_indexes where index_name = "BRL_U1";

  SQL > drop index BRL_U1;

  Once it will be deposited now connect to the production database to connect to the catalog and re-synchronize... It should work like that...

  RMAN target / catalog rman/password@catalog_db_name

  RMAN > catalog resync;

  from full resynchronization of the recovery catalog

  full complete Resync

  RMAN > exit

  I have a lot of photos with tags and metadata in Photoshop Album 2.0 version and I want to shoot you images, metadata and tags in Photoshop Elements version 13.0 on a Windows 7 computer. Searching the Web I found that this must be done with the convert function.  I tried file, catalogs to manage, convert and point to the folder holding my Photo project Catalog.psa file, but nothing happens. Apparently, it is not the .psa file.  How can I get my .psa catalog migrated to 13 items?

• Cognos for obiee conversion framework requirements

  I'm working on a request for proposal for a project that includes the conversion of Cognos in OBIEE. Now, I have no knowledge on the functioning of Cognos, but the system "AS IS" a lot of cubes which they build cognos reports. Also, most of their system is transactional and dimensionless.
  
  I know that for this convert to OBIEE, it may require ETL work and then I can build the RPD file but could you be it someone please let me know if there is any other SETTING that is required before proceeding with the conversion. From a technical point of view, what are the requirements before we can begin to migrate to OBIEE. Can anyone let me know the measures of high level that needs to be done for this type conversion.   We have a problem on AGO / OBIEE TO_DATE functions that returns null results on existing reports.
  In version 10.3, these functions operate properly with the real TIME dimension.
  
  Here's how we designed the time Dimension:

• Issue of rapid spread across multiple dashboard pages in a dashboard

  I have a problem of rapid spread in a dashboard, i.e. guests dashboard page of different using the same column of presentation layer then the guests take the filter value filters on the dashboard of each other. Even if I try to change the scope of each guest to dash for a dashboard page that value only spread to the next page of dashboard.

  I can't redevelop the whole dashboard, it will take a lot of effort, I implemented a solution for now, but I'm looking for some script code java I could invoke using the OnPageLoad event to clear and reset that all the page invites you to default values.

  Can you guys let me know if you have any java script like this.

  I found the question, the reports have been migrated to OBIEE 10 g long back. I have all redesigned reports and dashboard page only the value of the scope and reports work properly. Thanks for all your support guys.
