  I assume you mean printing to the Adobe PDF printer. In Notepad, click file, Print Setup and remove the appropriate information. In my notebook XP the default values are "& f" header "Page & p" for the footer. The & f is the name of the file and & p is the number of page. All of these settings are displayed in the Help menu in Notepad.

  If you open a text file in Acrobat, you would then have to look at the TXT to PDF conversion settings in the preferences (under Edit) menu if the option is available. Most of the time, the headers and footers are a function of the software you are using and not Acrobat. This is especially true when you print to the Adobe PDF printer. The printer simply provides an electronic version of that the application sends to the printer. No additional information is from the application, not Acrobat.

• Internal battery / Date/time problem

  My NEX-6 will only keep the date/time information after I put it. Unfortunately, with laptops being so small compared to desktop computers, replacing the CMOS battery is not an easy task unless you know what you're doing - mainly because you have to remove the bottom cover of the laptop and you should know what you're looking for.

  It can be useful holding a machine repair shop and asking them to check the CMOS battery and, if necessary, change it. In an office the whole procedure takes about 5 minutes and can easily be made by a less technical person. However, laptops are so filled with parts it is easy to disconnect something without knowing that you have done it, which causes more problems.

  If the machine is still under warranty then get the PC manufacturer to watch as I have CMOS batteries last in desktop computers for 4 or 5 years without any problem.

  I have a problem very intrigueing that I can't understand. I can do a clean install of Vista Ultimate(32 or 64 bit), on my gateway M285 - E Tablet PC. Once it's done and I did not yet updates, if I stop the system at night, I wake up and you try to boot the system and get a blue screen (which finally tells me that my "disk.sys" file is missing. I tried plugging it down in increments to see when this file, in fact, is lost. I stopped for about 1 1/2 hours and it will start fine, but during the night, it won't.

  Then I tried a fresh install and did all the updates available, same thing. I tried to start a "memory test and everything is fine." I even did the memory more intense test (which takes forever, by the way... lol). I also did "chkdsk", as well as all viruses and malware, etc. tests with Norton first Edition.

  I got to the point where I now have 3 separate "disk images" that I created to save time in my software I want to use this system of loading. We're just a clean install, that no update, other clean install available updates. and the last with a clean install with all my software MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Entertainment and all of their updates.

  I did this for if I'll actually somehow solve this problem I can easily use the "disk image" I want... No...

  Oh yes, I also all my drivers up to date etc.

  Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  Another problem related to this situation, it's the hard drive becomes undetectable, so I have to use a software such as Ubunta starting vehicle, which has its own operating system, so I can actually format my hard drive to start the installation process.   These were to actually be manually installed. "Even if I had downloaded and extracted the files, when I tried to update the driver"Intel SATA AHCI controller"via Device Manager" through the command of newer driver search. It does not always detect it them, stating that I already had the best and latest drivers already installed.

  Then, for some reason that just kept on bothering me, because "Driver Whiz/Detective kept indicating that it was the best version of the driver for my system.

  So, I finally tried to update the drivers manually by specifying exactly where these files are located on my system. Then he finally recognized them and installed them.

  According to me, given that this system is an older model 'Gateway M285-E Tablet PC', even if it is Vista compatible, he has always maintained the operating system higher available for WinXP, through any auto detect in the BIOS.   You can use simple 'write in the text file' calls instead, just use 'picture to a worksheet string' on your data. That's what I'd do... (Express screws are nice start using LabView or quickly write code running - but they hide all the interesting stuff and won't provide any flexibility for special needs!) And they always need conversion into "dynamic data", which also hides the user's information. Did I mention I don't like screws Express?)

  Catalogs are the folders containing the principal database (catalog.pse13db) and other components, including the thumbnail cache. Looking for the location of the catalog file in the Help menu > system information. You will see that there is no photo stored file, no "copies" or duplication.

  "Importer" is an ambiguous word in the Organizer.

  It refers to a process involving the downloader: download files (copy) of your card reader or camera, plus the indexing of these files in the database data. In this case, the copy is intended.

  Or it simply means indexing if you use the 'import' of files and folders. No copying is involved.

• Could not import the catalog of items

  I just installed LR CC 2015.  I am trying to import my PS 12 elements catalog.  After the installation of LR, he asked if I wanted to import my catalog of items.

  I answer OK.

  It completes step 1 but very quickly the steps 2 and 3 flash by and the process fails with an error message "Cannot import catalog items due to an unknown error."

  I went to the elements and ran a repair of the catalog.  No problems were found, but I ran the repair anyway.  (I have only a catalog with photos about 7200 in it.)  Try the import again.  Same result.

  My computer is an iMac mid-2013 with 8 GB of RAM.  The OS is 10.11.4.

  The problem has been resolved.  I made changes to my catalog of PES 12, one that could have been useful.

  • deleted the catalog items that does not generate stamps for unknown reasons.  Those with a "broken" thumbnail  There were few of them.
  • Deleted the catalog items that were orphans - were found no associated file on the hard drive.  There were about 10 of them.
  • Deleted about 10 sound files from the catalog.  Not sure how they got there in the first place.
  • Updated the Visual index.  (less probably helped)
  • Ran optimize catalog
  • Ran repair (for the second time) catalog, even if the dialog box indicated that it was not necessary.

  There are two things going on here.

  1. When you change the capture date/time (Date time Original), the change is immediately reflected in part EXIF metadata Panel in the library module. Because it is a modification of metadata, the arrow of the warning appears on the thumbnail (if you have configured to display display options)... and by clicking on this button brings up the dialog box "metadata changed, want to check the disk. Note that this happens when you do any type of metadata change, not simply by changing the date and time. At this point, you can either decide to write the metadata to disk, or not... If you write that replaces your XMP metadata I assume you mean 'Save', but if you don't then just ignore it. Of course if you say 'Save', then Lightroom will do as requested and write metadata, that if it's a DNG, JPEG, TIFF etc., metadata are written in the XMP in the file header section... but if it's a RAW owner then it is written in a sidecar XMP.

  2. the second thing is that if you have the ability to set in the catalog settings to save the changes to the date and time in the raw files owners, then the change you make is reflected in the Raw file... it is a different change to the updated XMP.
