CC desktop app crash Mid-installation

Hey,.

I'm working in a post-production facility and whenever we need to install an update for CC, at least half of our machines experience problems with the application of Office CC - most of the questions have to do with software does not show up as installed (even if they are), and hit "install" again on these machines Removes the user's preferences. The biggest problem is when the desktop application will not launch, or it launches, but then crashes after a few seconds, with either the only way to bring him back.

Needless to say that these issues are problematic, but given that the internet is flooded of complains I assume that you are already aware of them.

The biggest problem is this time, one of the machines that took the Desktop App crash, don't launch the application after restarting.

I tried following the instructions recommended, removed the app with the CC cleaning tool, have changed the name of OOBE OOBE.old folder, rebooted the machine again once and downloaded the latest version of the installer of the CC of the Adobe Web site.

When you try to reinstall it, Setup reaches the phase 'Installation' and crashes (more like "disappears"), without giving any error massage.

I would point out that the computer is a mac pro (running OS X 10.9), and, before you run the reinstall, I checked that no processes not related to adobe turned and manually made sure the CC desktop application has been completely removed. I also tried to install different users but get the same results.

Have you seen this problem before? Is there anything else that I have not tried?

Or alternatively, somehow download installers for the last update offline? To access installation offline programs would facilitate the way we update process, on us and on our bandwidth (for you connect to different machines and download updated same time and again is not the largest way, particularly when enforcement is so unpredictable and still has major problems).

Thank you!
Michael

For people who might have the same problem - I ended up half - solve this by copying on and replace the entire CC Desktop App folder (under Applications > utilities) from another machine that worked very well.

The Application is now able to launch, but for some reason, After Effects is stuck at 76% update, which gives an error message which AE should be closed before continuing. Thing is that AE is certainly not running - I took care of that by using the two monitor activity and through the command line and also tried to restart the machine, but still get the same error.

I only tried to exit the application of CC desktop and launch of AE (which was obviously not updated), that chose "updates" from the inside of the AE. He launched the former adobe application Manager (the machine has also installed CS5) and installed the updates from there, where everything seems to install fine without any problem.

  • CC Desktop App closes during installation?

When you try to install the application of Office CC (v3.8) it gets only 2% of the way through before crashing. It says "Initialization Installer" and then "Download creative cloud Desktop" and then everything closes. Now, I don't have the desktop app anymore and can't install it.

Everything used to work fine, until this morning my CC Desktop App had 'error 1002' then I followed the steps in taking charge and eventually uninstalled the application, then downloaded the last to install again.

I tried a lot of things - restarted a dozen times, quit all Adobe applications, deleted the OOBE, delete the Application Manager, has run the cleanup tool, open my firewall. Always the same problem, it crashes during installation, the right at this point:

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Mac OSX 10.10.5

After trying all known to humanity, I finally fix the problem!

Here's what I did, I hope this can help someone else in a traffic jam:

    > Install a new Application Manager, then run it and let it update itself. It will automatically download and install the latest version of CC Desktop App.

    Here are full instructions:

    1) download and install a new Application Manager

Adobe technical support gave me this link to download a new Application Manager: Adobe - Adobe Application Manager: Macintosh

The app is June 2016 and the site official adobe.com, so that's fine. I did a double-take when I saw a note there saying: "If you were informed of this download, then download the latest CC desktop app", but their meaning is that you probably want to both applications. Feel free to download, but it is probably the same one that hangs on you now.

In any case, download this new Application Manager, start the disk image and run the Setup program.

    (2) run the new application manager

Once you have it installed, go to "/ Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager" folder. You will see that a SWF file and some files in there, but if you go to the folder called "core" you'll see a nice red application called "Adobe Application by" (or just "Adobe Application Manager" If you do not have file name extensions turned on). Launch this application.

    (3) made

Leave the application Manager executed for a minute. It will download updates and install CC Desktop App for you! (Fun fact, if you keep your Utilities folder open, you can see install in real-time).

When this is done, you should have the CC icon in your menu bar. If not, go to "/ Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud" and open the "VAC" folder and you will see the application ('creative Cloud.app') you can run.

    You should be in business.

    4) , but if you're still having problems, delete these files and try again:

    / Library/Application Support/Adobe

    ~/Library/application support/Adobe

    / Applications/utilities/Adobe Application Manager

    / Applications/utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud

That's what technology Adobe told me to first, but in hindsight I don't know if it's necessary. I would recommend that you try the fix first with your old files intact, because if you remove all of these files, you will lose your whole subscription CC and re - download and reinstall all applications again from scratch, including all your 3rd - party plug-ins for 3 rd-party Web sites, which is a great pain in the anus If you work in After Effects or bought plugins for Photoshop

In addition, at some point a technician advised me to download some version of the CC Desktop janky App on a non adobe site that didn't look like legitimate, so I wanted a solution that used authentic Adobe products on real sites of Adobe.

    I hope this helps.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App crashing

    Hey,.

We use much CC Desktop App, but we need to have it up & running on some computers (TypeKit).

I was very little success with running this application, already tried everything to implement (OOBE, compensation, reinstall etc - even tried something more than the 1st page of google results) - the only way to do this is quite annoying:

    1. Select the root
    2. The mac works in safe mode
    3. To install CC and connect, then it seems to work - but I wouldn't say it's a good way

After a normal restart is connected, it breaks down quickly. When I log in (normal mode) of Adobe, it crashes immediately or just runs for awhile and then shows me back to login screen and then hangs.

It does not work on local accounts in safe mode - the strange thing is that still works perfectly on MBP (end of 2013), but we have a lot of desktop Mini 7.1 and it's a no - Go there - OS X 10.11.5.

You have any ideas on how to solve this problem? I'm out of ideas & solutions google help at all, but to do.

We certainly understand your situation, feedback has already been shared with the relevant team.

    Here's what you can try.

1 Rename folder OOBE OOBE_old of the below mentioned location and try to install the latest version.

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe

    2. Rename Adobe Creative cloud of: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe

    3. install Creative Cloud app - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html

Please let us know if that helps. We appreciate your cooperation and patience with this.

  • AIR app crash

When an AIR application crashes on the device, is there a way to get a dump or track where the app crashed as you do when it crashes as an AIR on a desktop PC application?  On the PC, you get the window of the exception when the application is in debug mode, give you details where the application crashed.  I will have no problem as an AIR application on the desktop but it illregularly hangs on the device.

I guess you know that you can debug the application on the desktop, or in the Simulator on the device in exactly in the same way? If you are running your application on the device in debug mode you can still see your tracing instructions, set breakpoints, inspect variables, view call stack etc etc. The debugger should stop on all exceptions, allowing you to inspect the exception object.
