  In general, I optimize raw files in Adobe Reader Raw, and then export to Photoshop. There, as a Retoucher I manipulte, improve, merge, clone, paint etc. I can also create separate versions of the file in Raw reader which can be optimized for tones means/time highlights/shadows etc. If I anticipate many requests for revision of the client, I'll use Smart layers. But what happens if Raw files can be embedded in a layer file photosop with all the depth of the intact raw data? In Photosop, I never merge adjustment layers. But I am limited to raw data that I exported from Camera Raw drive (or LightRoom). If Smart layers could also keep the RAW file original - cold be very powerful. Perhaps these could be REOPENED in Raw player with the result updated in Photoshop as a bound item?

  Maybe this feature already exists in one form or another, and I missed it. If Yes please let me know. If this isn't the case, I'd like to see it in the suggestion box. (I used to be a beta-tester for some early versions of Photoshop)

  Unless I'm misunderstanding your request, I believe that file - open as smart object will give you what you want.  The development parameters are stored in the PSD.  Double-click the layer to revisit the Camera Raw Converter.

  Out of curiosity, what you trying to accomplish?  Changes to raw settings after you have done a bunch of other edition?

  It will be. This option is really there to allow export with all tag metadata information. It will remove all changes made to the picture image.

  I know that the default behavior of (any version) Windows when copying or moving files, is that Windows makes everything first creates a new folder, copy the content, and when you move files, deletes the source after successful copy folder. Unlike Mac OS, where mechanisms of copy and move assume that when you copy a folder, the properties of the copied folder should have the same properties as the source folder, so to keep the original date of creation!

  It is very annoying that when you restore or copy a folder, the new folder has the date of the creation of the current date instead of the date of original creation.  People tend to look for old records that exist is no longer when you copied or moved the files.

  There is no way to do this in windows. The design of Windows, this is the creation date refers to the file, while the date of the amendment relates to the content. If the creation date is really important to you, you can set after the copy with a utility.

  The easiest is to right-click on the file and drag it to the destination folder. you will be asked to copy or move. If you move, the creation date will not change.

  Yes, Robocopy is available in Windows 7.

  really, there is no reason to start even regularly your cc desktop app.  you only need to run once every 30 (if you have a monthly subscription) to 91 (if you have an annual report) days.

  in preferences, you can disable the desktop application start automatically when you start your computer.

  Yes, you can do it.

  As long as creative cloud is active only two computers, it will work.

  Once you have finished your work, you can disable the current computer and reconnect to the previous.

  Photoshop CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw to version 6.7. Photoshop CS5 is is no longer updated by Adobe. The best way to have the latest version of Photoshop is to his scribe for the package of creative photography of cloud. This would have the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom. You will receive updates of these two programs through the creative cloud.

  If you don't want to upgrade your Photoshop you can download and use the DNG Converter last to create digital copies of (DNG) negatives of your raw images. You would be able to use these files with the software you already have. But you won't receive updates for the software you are currently using. Your new device photo, the 70 d, requires camera Raw 8.2 which is only compatible with Photoshop CS6. Camera Raw 9.2 is only compatible with Photoshop CC 2015, which is only available through the creative cloud. You might want to consider the purchase of 14 Photoshop elements as a complementary program to what you use.
