  Hi, Illustrator community.

  I used Illustrator for a long time now on Windows 8 and 8.1 without problems. Since the update to win 10, it works on my (surface Win10, 4 GB RAM Version 3), but not on my PC (intel i7 3770 k, 16 GB RAM, Asus 780TI). As far as I can tell, I have updated all the drivers concerned. Now to the problem: when I run Illustrator on my PC, it loads a few PlugIns in the small orange window, but then after a few files, crashes and safe mode opens. I'm now 40 Diagnosys something, he may not know, what is the problem and just request each time, if I want to start over. It seems, as he to crash randomly on different plug-ins. Had similar problems with Photoshop and Indesign, but could fix it by copying a few DLLs to windows.old in the new windows dir. Really, what bothers me, is that only my office has these problems.

  PSS: Sometimes it opens, but without all the tools on the left or properties on the right, gray just a window with a title bar. I tried to fix this by reinstalling Illustrator and also in removing ALL Adobe and starting from scratch. Nothing has helped or changed something.

  I think that the good order/way is to update the operating system, and then reinstall the applications. Which was how you did it?

  It may be best to reinstall using the way complete three steps (the otherwise strange things may persist):

  (1) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences),

  (2) run the cleanup tool, see the link below,

  (3) reinstall.

  Or, you can have problems with Windows 10 itself.

  I just signed up for Adobe CC and everything works wonderfully except for Illustrator CC.

  It opens fine but as soon as I need to save or open a file, it crashes.

  I tried clearing on preferences, uninstall, install, restart, everything I have read in the forums but no luck.

  I found the solution, if someone reads this.

  After a lot of research and testing, it was due to a problem of office vs home network.  We automount NFS volume when we are in the office, and that's what I found in the system connects when I save or open a file from Illustrator outside the Office:

  August 11-16:41:45 username kernel [0]: nfs_connect: error 61 for socket 10.1.1.201:/var/nfs-shared/public

  (Only occurs with Illustrator when save or open a file).  This kernel error does not occur in any other place or office, because the Volume is automatically mounted.

  For some reason, Illustrator is the only program that triggers this error in the kernel of any time, it tries to open a file or save a file, even if the Volume is not mounted.  It must be a fault in Illustrator as any other Adobe program has this problem I see.  I do not understand why it blocks trying to get this Volume when you do not attempt to open it.

  Not Cool!  I hope this helps someone in the future that could have a similar problem with several places of work and editing of the Volumes.

  As far as I know Toshiba always test their drivers or updates tools before they will be released and I have never had a problem with the new updates, so I think that the problem is lreated to your laptop, maybe something wrong with your installation.

  In General before you start the update of the BIOS you have to decompress all the files in archive zip and launch the update as an administrator.
  Also make sure that the value added package is installed and no firewall is not blocking the update program.

  Well my WLM goes to the Inbox automatically. That said, a solution I found on the internet, Google is your friend, is to add the should switch to the chain of command. See this illustration.

  Presenter installed on computers 32 bit and 64 bit without any problems, unless you install 32-bit presenter on 32-bit Office and similarly 64 bits.

  To check the version of your office, go in Powerpoint, click the file option in PowerPoint

  It is absolutely unbearable: crash 6 times. Whenever I'm working on another program and then back to Illustrator (while Illustrator remained open), it crashes. I lost hours of work like that...

  After seeing another thread, I recalled after moving from Mac OS 10.11.3 at 10.11.5 a few days before (just before the Illustrator crashing every time).

  I also changed my graphics card for graphics nVidia GeForce a few months ago.

  And as Apple will automatically download the new drivers for this card, of course Illustrator crashed a lot...

  The solution was to download the latest drivers.

  And it seems to work fine now.

  Please provide an overview of the details of the question. As you said that the computer works fine in safe mode and when the computer is in clean boot state, I suggest you put the computer to boot to safemode, and then start the computer normally.
