CD burned with Media Player 12Can is no longer be read or played by my CD player

Unlike previous versions, Windows Media Player 12 is now burning folders and subfolders on an audio CD, and then on the slopes in the subfolder. I checked the previous serious audio CD and it seems that the tracks are burned without a visible folder name. My CD player can no longer identify or play these CDs, but they are very well play in Windows Media Player. How can I remedy so that they will play on my CD changer?

I was wondering... do the tracks on newly burned CDs
have one. Extension of the ADC? If not... you burn a data DVD
instead of an Audio CD / music.

When I play a CD I burned through MP 11 names of songs and artists are not displayed on my CD player in my house and car.  Is there a setting that needs to be done to get the title of the song and the artist to show in the field of test on my players?  I was able to burn CDs using my old media application, but it is no longer supported.  It was nice to see the textual information, now all I see is the number of the song, not the name.  I can't seem to find any help for this, so I ask here.  I am running VISTA SP2 with Media Player 11.

    Hi Billosaurus,

Welcome to the forum of responses to Windows Vista.

Windows Media Player does not burn audio CD, CD text, and it doesn't have the plug-ins Windows Media Player from Microsoft which will be added to this support.  There are many applications that make the third party CD burning. Moreover, if the CD supports playback of WMA or MP3, you can use Windows Media Player to burn your CD with more songs by CD and all track information.

However, there are third-party applications like enabling this feature. You can check on the internet for plugins like these.

If your computer is equipped with a CD or DVD burner, you can copy files to a recordable disc. This process is called burning a disc. By default, Windows Burns discs in the active file system format, but you can also choose to burn discs in the mastered format.

Check to see what Format you are buring in:

Burn a disc using the ISO image format

Choose the size of the ISO image when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in devices such as CD and DVD players that can play video files and music digital. just today, when I try to play AVI files from my digital camera... no sound plays on my pc with media player v11... I suspect it's a codec problem, but how do I know for sure?

    Hello Jorstar1,

Thank you for your message.  Windows Media Player 11 supports .avi, but compression can dictate whether he will play or not.  This is very probably a Codec issue, you can perform a websearch for a Codec that will play any avi compression.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to resolve this problem.

Problems with media player 11 and all other players, playing music is broken?

    Hi all

I have a big sound even and odd / problem reading music?

My computer using windows media player 11 and classic media windows and others to play my music in the hard lists recorded by windows media player 11 copied from my CD.

But here's the weird problem that only started to happen now, when I play music saved on any one of the players of the computer the sound breaks sometimes but not always?

Even if I try tp use players like windows media player 11 to play recorded video clips sound breaks toward the top, but the video image only?

I have a newly completed with windows xp home system and service pack 3, and all memory and material necessary for a pc game of level, a new graphics card was installed and by the way the problem of noise was there before this was done?

I don't know what is the fault? And I don't know how to find out what the required audio driver are for his computer system I?

I tried the right click on the audio device to see if the pilot could be updated in case that's all? All he asks is a cd or a floppy disk, but I thought you could ask to search for drivers online too?

He even now breaks the game sounds too!

    Help, please

If you access Windows Update (start - programs - Windows Update), you can
see if there is a newer driver. The drivers are optional updates are not so made
    automatically.

Download the driver for your audio hardware manufacturer (or motherboard if
"It's built-in sound). They are often newer than Windows Update.

This explains how to disable the improvements.

  • can't burn music with media player 11 CD

My media Player 11 will not burn on a music CD? He used to work, not more. It might have something to do with Nero 8 that was installed?

    Original title: media player 11

    Hello

    Try the procedure described in the following article;

  • I can not burn an Audio disc with Media Player 11

My system = XP (SP3), 3 GB of RAM, Intel CPU G620

Media Player 11 will not burn a playlist.

I dragged a list of MP3 files to a playlist for burning.  However, when I click on the button burn, WMP11 starts to burn apparently the first track on the list but then stops at 96%. I tried at different speeds, the media and even a CD - RW and the same thing happens.
Curiously, that WMP11 is burning track 1, the progress bar indicates "finalize disc". This would seem a strange message because it is just the first piece of 10 and so has not yet reached the end of the list.
    After the burn hangs at 96% for a few seconds, I get the error message;
"Windows media player cannot burn the files to the CD. Check that the disc is clean and not damaged. If necessary, select a slower recording speed or try a different brand of blank discs.
HOWEVER, I also have NERO 7 and I have absolutely no problems burning the same Audio disc.
It's extremely frustrating and I would appreciate some advice on this.

I decided to go back to WMP 9 and then reinstalling WMP11

Now, everything works as it should!
However, I found an absolutely terrible navigation in WMP11 - sometimes I don't know where to go for a task. Nero - although his gripes - is a breeze in comparison.
  • Why can't I remove gaps between tracks when burning a disc with Media player?

I have media player 11 but like all versions, he plays the album without gaps but when burn you it to a disc for the car he puts 3 second gaps between tracks, which ruins a live album! Am I missing something?

    Use it instead of WMP:

    http://CDBurnerXP.se/download?lang=en

You should be able to make a CD smoothly. Otherwise his (expensive) Nero.

  • Burning CD with Media Player - can't play on other audio devices

I was able to burn music w/Media Player and CDs are playable on different cd players and dvd players, as well as the PC.  Now, music does not play on a cd player and when I play it on the dvd player it shows different folders rather than individual songs for some of the music and then it will show songs at random. What is new and I wonder why this could happen.  The cd is not yet on the computer. The playlist shows nothing else; all the music files from my music folder, not come from different paths.  I tried old songs that had been written to a cd before burning, but he creates the files for some people too and then will not play on any CD and player when played on the dvd player menu displays of different folders.

Should I try to use another program to burn rather than Media Player? Who will solve the problem? Or what suggestions you have. The music is all mp3.

    Thank you!

What version of WMP are you using?

WMP is probably set to burn data CDs containing MP3s, instead of CD audio real. Most CD players don't recognize the data CD and cannot play audio CDs.

In WMP, right-click on the button burn at the top, then select Audio CD . If now, you burn a new CD, it should be readable by the stand-alone CD players.
