  Try a new Folder.dbx file. Reboot when finished.
   
  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer.   WiFi intermittent problem.  I have a 2 month old Dell Inspiron 15 5559 with dual band Wireless AC 3160 adapter Intel.  I connect via WiFi, start Pandora with Chrome and everything works very well for a few hours.  I monitor the status of the WiFi and noticed that when the speedometer drops to simple numbers temporarily, then resumed at 50 Mbps or more a second or two later, my browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge) no longer work even if icons indicate "connected, secure" and LAN activity continues.  Pandora and all other browser activities cease until I have disconnect and reconnect.  The router, I had this problem with that is a TP-Link wireless-N that works perfectly with other computers, but I purchased & installed a D604 of D-Link router wireless AC to see if this can solve the problem.  It has exactly the same problem on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.  Device Manager displays an Intel driver version 18.11.0.8 dated dated 22/06/2015 apparently normal and no! or? any where in the list of devices.

  So the obvious conclusion is that when the power of the signal is temporarily less than 10 Mbps for a second or two, then returns to the top 10 Windows thinks there is a good WiFi connection when it is not.  Disconnect and reconnect always solve the problem, but it's an obvious bug, and it's a pain.

  I'm glad that you finally got this driver to install.  Microsoft has done a lot with Windows 10 trying to reduce the energy consumption on laptops.   In some ways, that has caused some problems with the wireless, making cards more susceptible to interference.   I hope that this driver will clear up many of the conflicts and problems that you see.

  This information has been in the User Guide for the Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one - N911a; PG 69.

  Set up backup fax

  According to your needs best and security, you can configure the printer to store all faxes it receives, only faxes it receives while the printer is in an error condition, or none of the faxes it receives.

  The following fax backup modes are available:

  On >  The default setting. When backup fax is enabled, the printer stores all faxes received in memory. This allows you to reprint up to eight more recently printed faxes if they are always saved in the memory.

  NOTE: When the memory of the printer is low, it replaces faxes print, older because it receives new faxes. If the memory is full of unprinted faxes, printer stop to answer incoming fax calls.

  NOTE: If you receive a fax that is too large, as a very detailed color photo, it cannot be stored in memory due to limitations of memory.

  Error only > Causes the printer to store faxes in memory only if there is an error condition that prevents the printer to print the faxes (for example, if the printer is out of paper). The printer continues to store incoming faxes, as long as the memory is available. (If the memory is full, the printer stops responding to incoming fax calls). When the error condition is resolved, the faxes stored in memory automatically, print and then they are deleted from the memory.

  Off >  Faxes are never stored in memory. For example, you might want to disable fax backup for security reasons. If an error condition occurs which prevents the printer to print (for example, tracks paper printer), the printer stops responding to incoming fax calls.

  NOTE: If the backup fax is turned on and you turn the printer off, all faxes stored in memory are deleted, including any unprinted faxes that you might receive while the printer was in an error condition. You must contact the senders asking them to return the unprinted faxes. To get a list of faxes that you have received, print the Fax log. The Fax journal is not removed when the printer is off.

  To set backup fax from the printer control panel

  1 tap (right arrow) and select Setup.

  2. press Fax Setup, and then click Advanced fax setup.

  3. press on the backup Fax reception.

  4. press on , error, or out of service.

  Reprint of faxes received from memory

  If you set backup fax mode to On, received faxes are stored in memory, whether the printer has an error condition or not.

  NOTE: After that the memory is full, the oldest faxes, prints are replaced as new faxes are received. If all stored faxes are not printed, the printer does not receive fax calls until you print or erase memory faxes. You can also delete the faxes in memory for purposes of confidentiality or security.

  According to the sizes of the faxes in memory, you can reprint up to eight more recently printed faxes, if they are still in memory. For example, you will need to re - print your faxes if you have lost the copy of your last draw.

  To reprint the faxes in memory from the printer control panel

  1. make sure you have loaded paper in the main tray.

  2 tap (right arrow) and select Setup.

  3. touch Tools , or Faxand then select reprint faxes in memory. The faxes are printed in reverse order, where they were received with the most recently received fax printed first, and so on.

  4. If you want to stop reprinting the faxes in memory, press the Cancel button.

• Error when printing PowerPoint notes pages in PDF since the upgrade to OS365

  I've recently updated to OS365 and since then I have been unable to print a PowerPoint presentation in pdf format, if you choose to print notes pages.  Print to PDF works fine for all other applications, and even PowerPoint printing full Page slide, but not when you print notes Pages.   I use Adobe Acrobat DC.  It's something I do every day and had no problems with PowerPoint 2010, only since going to PowerPoint, 2016.  Here is the error message.  According to the file, sometimes it will crash on page one and another time, he might save pages 40 + and then crash and pages that save the air well.

  I have uninstalled and resinstalled both OS365 and Abobe.

  Any ideas of where to go next?

  

  I found a work around but it seems to be a bug with Office 365, and I don't think it matters which version of Acrobat you have. If you save your. PPTX files in a PPT file, and then close the file and reopen it, it seems to play nice. It takes time to print to PDF, but seems to work. This also seems to be a problem with PowerPoint more large bridges (more than 50 slides) I hope that this helps you.

  Looks like the Navigation bar is what you have now. What happens when you press the Alt key? You see the Menu bar, at least temporarily until you press another button or click a mouse button. When this Menu bar is displayed, press the V button to open the view menu, and then move the slider on the toolbar and click on the menu bar menu item. The Menu bar should then stay open all the time and you won't need to deal with the orange Firefox button.

Occassioally, and apparently at random, a document will print with a wide range in italic, when it is not italicized in the program (Microsoft Word, for example). Small arrived in Word and pdf files. Strange, the italic is just for a full line; the front line and the after is normal. And even stranger is that sometimes it prints with italics tilted to the left (not right). Has anyone seen this? I susepct that is a printer problem, since it occurs in Word and Acrobat Reader.

My computer is running VERY slowly, lagging behind, or even on an occasional basis freezes and stops when I'm on the net. Computer function uses only the net works fine until a program I use try to use Windows Explorer. I have McAfee and AVG, as well as malicious software running on a schedule and they are still running in the background, constantly analyzes the sites.

• At startup, updates to Vista is stuck on "Full download 100% - do not turn off your computer". Cannot stop at least stop with button / stop.

  At startup, Vista update will start and get blocked msg on "Full download 100% - do not turn off your computer".  Last night on the left that it runs and it took 12.5 hours before finally coming out of the error status and asking for the password.  Could not stop downloading progress with Task Manager/ctrl-alt-del, etc., unless you use the power button / stop.   This severely limits the duration of use and if/when we are able to use it in an hour or two, it black screens and reboots restart fiasco together again.
