Cd/dvd drive Dell Latitude (UK)

Bought a cd/dvd drive on ebay for a dell latitude c610 sent a completely incompatible part.

Any ideas where the ideal is to buy a cd/dvd drive.

The existing permanent cd player ejects the CD when you inserted the it is a common problem for this type of player.

All advice appreciated. Conducted a search on the website of dell for the part had nothing, I have a feeling they will be charge me a price like £50 or more in any case, trying to get cheaper any ideas?

    Hello

I have a latitude D800 with a Hitachi Travelstar 80 GB 2.5 "IDE model: HTS548080M9AT00 who now suffers from the disease by clicking on infamous which apparently these HD are famous for. So im needing a new HD, I took the old hard drive that was easy enough, but what worries me really, it's what is compatible with my d800. I did a little research and found a pdf with the d800 comes with and the specifications of the current hard drive do not match even with what is listed in this spreadsheet.

So I'm looking for an answer well informed on this hard drive I can stick it in my D800 as I don't want to buy a HD and it works not because the motherboard doesn't. I know that the best thing to do would be to buy the same HD, but I'd like one with more capacity.

What is the difference between the 200 GB hard disk (7200 RPM) free fall sensor and the fall sensor free 250 GB hard drive (7200 RPM), because the 200 GB version is 70 Euro more expensive than the 250 GB version.

  • CD/DVD drive on Dell Latitude D510

My laptop was hit with an overload of spyware, and he has been allowed only recently, although there may be some remaining traces. Now my computer does not recognize my CD/DVD drive - he knows that this is where, it seems, but by the icon, there is a little "!" This means of course that 'it does not work." When I tried to play a game, the program said that it was unable to find a CD drive on the computer.

I bought a new CD player, thinking that the problem could be solved, but I get the same error, so I think the problem is with the computer. The operating system is Windows XP, we had to reinstall (so now I have two users of computers - my old name and a new ID). Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Yes, there is a way to do this.

I just did this to install Windows 10 from a DVD on a tablet of 10 Latitude by following these steps:
(Note: my version of BIOS is A08)

    1. turn off the 10 latitude power.
    2. attach a USB hub to the USB slot unique on the side of the tablet.
    3. fix a keyboard and an external USB CD drive to the USB hub.
    4. now press the button down on the side of the Tablet and simultaneously press the power button for 5 seconds (until see you the screen light up, but will be weak against black unlit).
    5. When you see the Dell logo, start typing on the F12 key (the lower right corner shows the option press the F12 key to choose single startup options)

  • Are Dell DVD (driver installers) Dimension E520! Not authentic?

Are Dell DVD (driver installers) Dimension E520! Not authentic?

    David Brown snr,

Dell uses Dell OEM operating system disks.

When you installed Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) have you installed the utility of desktop / laptop and drivers from the chipset first? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order If you can't find the drivers for Windows 7, then try to use Vista (or XP), 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Vista (or XP) drivers for Windows 7 64 bit and install the drivers in compatibility mode.

  • Primary hard drive 0 not found Dell Latitude

    Hello

I just bought 2 notebooks of Dell Latitude D800 with no operating system. The first laptop is fine, but the second, when I turn it on it shows the Dell screen with the loading bar. The loading bar is to halfway to the end when it freezes. The system freezes on this screen for about a minute, then it beeps twice and a black screen that says:

"First hard drive 0 not found '.

No bootable devices - don't strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for Setup utility.

So I go into the BIOS and see under "internal hard drive" and he says: 'no '. I checked and make sure the hard disk has been activated, and it is.

I took the hard drive and reinstalled it. Nothing. The drive is a Toshiba 40 GB. In addition, mention, the reader makes a weird noise (not the click of death) and the hard drive on the laptop stays on all the time.

Other D800 I mentioned boots very quickly and displays a no. OS screen, which is very good.

    So is my dead HDD?

    Thank you

It is quite clear that the BIOS does not recognize the hard drive.  I suspect that the IDE controller on the motherboard has failed.

Given that you have two cell phones similar to fool around with, probably the fastest way to isolate the problem is to swap hard drives.  Call the laptop that does not have one and one that works B

If the laptop has now boots and cell B now is not, you know that the player who has been to A is bad.

If A laptop computer still does not start and portable B boots again, then you know that the two disks are OK and the problem is the motherboard or the connector of the drive in the laptop.

I have a Dell Latitude D800 that I just did a clean install of XP SP3 to and the Wireless does not work. How can I get the driver for the card wireless to the computer?

    Download drivers

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers for your version of Windows. Download the driver and then follow the instructions to install.
