  In 2003, I bought a Satellite 1900-303. Recently, it's the cd/Dvd drive has stopped working properly. whenever I put a Cd in the driver, it assumes that the CD is an audio cd. I change the properties of the Cd drive settings in the section of AutoPlay of music file to other options such as "mixed content". but after inserting the CD in the drivers it agains automatically replaces the file 'music '.   Please tell us what machine you have (for example: Satellite L30-121). Perhaps, if you tell what model you have, someone here can tell you if you have a DVD burner installed.

  You can also easily check for yourself if your drive is capable of burning DVD´s simply by checking the front of the drive. There are a few symbols like:

  -DVD Multirecorder
  -compact disc rewritable
  -RW DVD + RW

  If you see this post a few symbols that are on your disk and then as someone could tell you if your burner is capable of burning a few DVD´s.

  You can try to sett the OS returns with the XP system restore setting. Maybe something damage your running system. It's the best way to solve it!

  If this does not work, you can look in the Device Manager if the CD is detected in a right way!

  Try to use drivers from similar models. For example, most of the drivers for A210 works fine on my P200D.

  The my Satellite 1800 Series drive is fixed mounted, yours is too (I think). The only way to change the disk is to go to the next dealer Toshiba one ask him if there is a reader, that it might recommend.

• Satellite A200 - need driver for CD/DVD drive

  Hey people.

  Recently installed WXP Pro on my laptop A200 PSAEC, so I'm now in dual boot XP and Vista on my laptop.

  Problem is that I have all the drivers doesn't work on XP and everything works perfectly, but when I tried to burn a DVD, Nero said the recorder cannot burn DVDs. In 'My Computer', the drive shows up as a DVD - RW drive, but when I insert a blank DVD, it says CD drive. The drive shows up as "TCSDcor" CD/DVGW TC - L6 #2D "" in Device Manager. I searched a driver, but it is impossible to find an exact match for this drive and there is no driver optical drive on this section of driver from the Toshiba site. The only thing I found is an executable file of the firmware upgrade, but it throws an error saying that it is the wrong drive.

  Anyone got any ideas?

  You don't need a new driver for CD/DVD drive because it s a part of the operating system. So, you won't find one.

  I think you should try to remove the upper and lower filters in the registry. I did the same thing a few days ago, if I also had problems with my CD/DVD player and it worked for me! :)

• Satellite M70 - no driver Sound download Windows Xp

  After reloading new version windows XP, I found under sounds & services indication was no audio device. So I guess what it means is that I need to download the Audio driver I've tried without success.

  The laptop is a Mod No. PSM70E and bought foreign websites in Australia do not have this driver available and told me to try of Toshiba Europe, I did but have had no luck.
