CD/hp drive lacks no story shop/long help/computer

OK, here's the long version at all. I bought a HP Dv6815nr. Cd drive disappeared. I think it is after some update, but has no significance my hard drive went bad and hp made and repaired. She is as if all new and everything worked fine again. I know that they have not replaced the cd player being the only thing that the maintenance book says that they have replaced the hard drive. After a while my cd drive no longer works, after some update I think because I was playing command and conquer every week / every two weeks with my online friends. Well after it has stopped working, I tried the fix for windows only and it did not work.  I have scoured the internet for fixes and found nothing that works or applies. I know it is not the disk that I took my ex wives cd(optical drive) using a laptop (same model car as is in my TS-L632 (b) found on several laptops hp) and it did not work in my laptop but doesn't and still has in his laptop. Well, to add to all of this mess, something's happened on my hard drive and windows load not more, being above my skills to manage, I took it to a repairer (expiration of the warranty of HP, still chatted for help and they were not, and so on for the computers in America) and they had to wipe my hard drive and reload windows on it (which was a shame because I lost my secure partition for windows to the factory plug because HP restore my CD player would not work) so when they return it to me and to my disappointment cd player doesn't work do not, it does not show in my computer or Device Manager but it is in the registry or I think that's it. And to top it all off I can not use any automatic assumption of hp or programs scan (as Manager of health) than all my info from hp (model series, etc.) has been erased and system under system information, it says my laptop is a DELL, which im guessing that they must have used an on my laptop dell restore disc... Im not happy but did not take it back to them, I want to avoid it if possible as they do not seem to know what they are doing or they cheat many people. So in its current form, I'm lost, how do I start to fix this problem? I tried to contact microsoft, but he disliked the product ID of my system, he kept saying there was a problem with the product id you entered, so the only option was to pay and as the father of 3 and 1 ex I don't have money to pay for help like this (if I did (, I would have just had a new laptop) if the drive worked or may work again, I can get at hp recovery disks and have my good old laptop back. ANY HELP APPRECIATED. quick rundown of the specs, HP DV6815nr, windows vista Home premium 32-bit SP2 (so far on the updates based on the update of windows), 3 GB of ram, amd 64 x 2 2.0 ghz tl. Thank you if you take the time to help me

Hello

Buy the HP installation media and was able to return to the plant "out of the box" settings. HP will be
sell the Windows disk at low cost since you already own windows. HP also has instructions for re - install
on their Web site and are also available via their support and/or forums (link to them).

Contact HP, their online documentation and the forums of HP.

You need to re - install the appropriate Windows OEM, which also should fix the problem if it's not
material.

I hope this helps.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burn
and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

  • I moved my library on an external drive. Now miss me the story on a single computer

I have a Mac Book Pro, which has a limited memory. So I decided to keep my Lightroom library on a hard drive external. I had no problem getting the pictures of my desktop on disk; However, when I imported the photos on my laptop, I have lost my story. So it's always there on the desk, but the laptop is missing. I guess part of the answer lies with the original file from catalogues? I made the trip following a video from Adobe. I just dragged my photos from the desktop on the external hard drive hard drive in Lightroom.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I think that I fixed it. Thank you for taking the time to answer this question. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

  • dx2400: Audio driver on HP support page, longer than driver on the machine

I'm trying to make sure I have the latest audio driver for my machine.  On my computer for realtek high definition audio driver is version 5.10.0.6482 and the date 18/10/2011. The driver on the HP support site is 2009. Do I not have the most recent update. I ask because I have problems with Audacity 2.1 DAW.

    My system

    Compac HP dx2400

My problem with Audacity is the following:

When I move the pointer to record level in Audacity, the audio Windows icon shows that the sound is muted. When I activate the sound in Windows, the recording Audacity level tends to zero. The notice on their forum was to ensure that the correct audio driver is installed, but mine is two years more recent than the one on the HP support site. But I still don't know if I have the right pair.

    Any help is very appreciated.

  • Satellite L300 - driver Open Webcam fail. Restart the computer or the camera

    Hello

I recently bought a new Satellite L300 under Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. The Webcam worked fine for a few days and then the next time I booted up Vista, I get the following error "Webcam driver open fail, please restart camera or computer. Since the computer is new I reformatted to see if it wasn t a program is blocking something.

Reformat 2 times and the error still ride on the installation of the Camera Assistant Software for Toshiba. I downloaded the update from Toshiba support file but still the same error. The funny thing is that the Device Manager does not detect even the webcam. There is no registration for the webcam. How will I know that it is a hardware problem? Does anyone have experience with this problem?

The store that I bought it offered to give me a new, but do not have any in stock, so I have to wait 3 weeks.

    Thank you

    Hello

The webcam must be listed in the Device Manager. It s not called not webcam but you should find it in the imagery of the devices-> USB video device

The webcam should work fine. Usually after installing the webcam software, you should find the webcam software in the MSCONFIG-> startup
If the webcam is listed here then that would mean that the software/driver webcam still load during a laptop boot procedure.

In some cases there could be a compatibility issue between this software and a 3rd party applications like MS messenger or Skype for example.

In your case, I recommend you to disable the webcam and other applications such as MS messenger or Skype software in MSCONFIG-> startup.
Then clean the BONES and the registry using the CCLeaner.

I also recommend the Vista update to the last State. All fixes and patches must be installed!

Finally if you want to use the webcam then you could start the software manually.
Exe file must be placed in Camera Assistant Software.

    Best regards

I want to thank the person who answered my question about the HD crashed I saved all my data and window xp. My next question is, how and where can I reinstall external hard drive for the new HD to the computer? Should I send it to drive c or where? I'm not strong when it comes to computers. I know just enough to get me in trouble. Thank you.

    Hello!

You will need to use a full copy of Windows XP.  Should be a sticker with the product key on the side of your desk or below if it is a laptop.

Once you have this drive, you can reinstall Windows XP.  After you have installed all the software and drivers, you will be able to transfer all your data to the new HARD drive.

If you don't have a copy of Windows XP, you can probably get a copy of the recovery from the manufacturing of computer media.  Just to provide the model and serial number and they should sent it.

    Hello

Go Device Manager... Sound, video and game controllers, and see if you have triangles yellow error next to your audio devices...

My guess would be that you need to update the drivers for your audio devices.

You should be able to find the drivers + Support Web site for your computer model...

If not, find the number\model Audio chip and watch there chip manufacturers website for updates...

I don't know if the audio problem is a single chip, or is part of your graphics device...

If you don't find anything wrong in the audio, you can check that.
