CD provided with monitor

This may seem like a silly question but...

Recently, I posted a question on a faulty monitor and eventually I managed to organise a replacement - time in the coming days.

I've been watching the guide of user installation for monitor U2414h, which comes with a CD with drivers etc.

Try as I might I can't see anywhere in the game guide which told when or what you use this disk for.

Can someone enlighten me as to why it is necessary and when to use it?

I find the instructions usually poor.

It would take only the CD if you can't access the internet. Everything that you need is on the U2414H web page. Manuals, drivers, etc. The U2414H is a plug-and-play monitor. You have not even need to install a driver to ensure that it operates at 1920 x 1080.

can Apple Watch connect with monitor polar heart?

    Hello

If you are referring to the H7 polar, then Yes, we can.

Firstly turn off pairing the monitor from other devices which he may previously have paired with (for example your iPhone), then:

    • Wear the polar H7 (which lights up by being broken to the strap and rotates when detached).
    • On Apple Watch, go to settings > Bluetooth.
    • Wait that Polar H7 appears, then press it.

  • HP dv5 does not start with monitor plugged

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv5 1130ea. I have an external monitor that I use as a second screen. However, this week yet he refuses to start when I plug in the monitor, it keeps cycling of the boot sequence prior (I don't get the option to press ESC to see a menu). If I plug it after it is initialized in this will work, but it will not correctly identify the monitor and I can't make it work with the correct screen resolution.

Since these two problems are associated with monitor and appeared at the same time, I assume that they are related.

I am running Windows 7, but since it won't even be the bios (or what is called the replacement of HP) I don't know it's relevance.

    Thank you

    David

OK, solved the problem, it was not the laptop, it is the monitor.

If the installation provided with your Windows computer discs was preinstalled on the computer - it is OEM and cannot be moved. You can move Windows to another computer if you buy the retail version.

You can move the windows on a new computer

If it's a full license or upgrade retail - Yes. You can move it to another computer as long as it is installed on one computer at a time (and if it's a version upgrade the new Windows computer must have its own license of qualification). The previous Windows installation on your old computer must be formatted or deleted. You will have to perhaps call Microsoft and explain what happened to complete activation. Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer.

If it's an OEM license - don't. OEM licenses, including Windows preinstalled on a computer before purchase and Windows purchased separately, are related to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer. To install Windows on another computer, you will need to buy another copy.

Windows Vista Home Basic preinstalled on my Compaq laptop will not accept code provided with the computer installation. HP can't help. Your say talking to HP and HP technicians say they are unable to help him. I'm now using valid XP. HP say that conflict with Vista. Can anyone help?

    original title: VISTA VS. XP

Your technicians say talk to HP

Sorry, this is not Microsoft.  This is a public forum from user to user hosted by Microsoft on its servers for the comfort of its clients, and we all here are volunteers.

You say you use XP.  What is your question?  What do you mean 'conflicts with Vista?

I suggest recovery discs you order from HP for your computer.  If HP is no longer the issue of stocks you can order such a third of Recovery - Disks.com.  There are several of these companies.  If you are going to use XP, you need to install XP from scratch and this means that you need XP drivers for your brand and model.  If HP has no XP drivers on your computer you must not try to use XP on it.

Remember that Vista Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate out of Microsoft support on 10 April and there will be more updates, including critical security patches after that date.  Only Vista business and company will continue to receive updates.  You might consider this a good time to upgrade to Windows 7.  You must download and run the Windows Update Advisor once you restored Vista successfully.

I received a Government edition 6930 P HP EliteBook notebook computer with the Windows XP operating system. The irony is that the laptop has Windows VISTA serial number attached to the back and obviously has a Vista window badging on. My inquiries to my superior was that Vista is unstable, so they have bought XP instead. My question is, if I decide to upgrade to windows Vista, where can I download the software? I don't have the VISTA installation CD. Thank you.

Info below depends on how it was installed XP re Vista recovery options.

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory Vista.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to make Vista Recovery Disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • No option has worked at the start of vista & no CD provided with the computer!

I tried all the options (boot recovery, System Restore, memory something or other, etc) and nothing won't boot up to vista. It puts me in a vicious cycle of hit ctrl alt + delete to restart again and again. I have tried absolutely every single option. I can get the bios of course but that's all. I don't see anything else. I have no Vista CD because I bought the computer from comp usa so I can't even try to start with a CD. I want to do a clean install, but I guess that's not possible with no CD :-(  I just need to crash the computer in the trash?  I am disabled so I have no money for a new CD of windows, they are simply too expensive.

    Thank you

  • Dell Inspiron 3647 with monitor Samsung

The Samsung S27D390H monitor does not seem to get along with my new Dell Inspiron 3647 system, bought at the same time for the system.

Sometimes, the screen is black and will not respond when I turn it on.  Dell said that not all monitors are compatible with their systems, if they would not comment specifically on this monitor.  Together, they said is why not to buy a Dell monitor.

It could be a 10 Windows sleep problem or a problem of monitor or computer hardware.  Dell tells me about the monitor because it is not a Dell monitor. Microsoft won't talk about the problems of sleep with Windows 10 because I bought the system from Dell with Windows 10 on it so Microsoft says that I must deal with Dell. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Dell, struggling to understand the accent of the person I was talking about. It was exhausting and frustrating but no help. I'd stick rather pins in my eyes!

So we plugged the monitor into a power strip and turn off the power strip. So far that has worked, but the problem is intermittent, then it will be some time before we are confident.

Reference verified Dell Bios version.  All standby/hibernation settings have been checked and turned off by Dell.  Not sure about sleep of the BIOS.  Don't know what your last question.

Been another incident.  Off the monitor with monitor power switch.  Half an hour later turn on monitor power switch.  Black screen.  Waving the mouse.  Typical exhaust.  Hit Ctrl Alt Delete.  Nothing.  Turn off the power strip and he turned his back.  Picture came back on the monitor.  And it showed on the screen Ctrl Alt Del orange asking what I wanted to do.

But really, I'm fine with the solution of power strip.  It's simple and it works.

    Thank you all

  • What wireless keyboard compatible with NANO receiver usb provided with the Mobile Mouse 4000?

What wireless keyboard compatible with the usb NANO-receiver provided with the Mobile Mouse 4000? I already have Mobile Mouse 4000 and I now want to get a keyboard for which I don't have to plug another usb receiver. I have more usb ports.

They don't work that way.  Each receiver has one of a number of frequencies assigned, and the receiver and the device have pair codes that make them unique.  Otherwise, you'd have the problem of a keyboard or a mouse, controlling all the computers with the same brand of mouse or keyboard in an entire room, office, etc.
