Centro and Cyrillic fonts (Russian)

I recently bought English-Russian dictionary, but my Centro could not recognize Cyrillic fonts (instead, it shows the 'strange' letters). I know how to solve this problem on Windows OS. Could someone help me teach my Centro to read Russian please?

Thank you very much... I had the same solution of mobile systems - dictioanary seller (http://www.palm-dictionaries.com/PiLoc/Russian_PiLoc.html)... I really appreciate your response - it was useful.

    We have files containing Cyrillic fonts made with 7 FM. They open correctly in version 8, but not in version 9. Files created with FM 8 will open ok version 9. Is there a way to convert for example FM 7 files to open them ok version 9? It takes too much time to open these files in FM 8 and save them one by one.

    Rosalee,

    This problem should be corrected with the latest patch FM (9.0.3 = p250). Older versions of FM9 ignore the mapping of the fonts for the virtual fonts (THAT, CYR...) made in the registry. Use the latest version?

  • Menu and other font sizes too small

    I am running Windows 8 on a Dell XPS 13 ". For some reason, some, but not all, of the text is small enough to be practically illegible. It was not a problem until now, when I'm trying to run Studio Android.

    As you can see on the image as an attachment, the text in the console is a good 3 to 4 percentage points smaller than the text of the menu and almost impossible to read on a screen size of 13 ". The same applies to the icons, they are absolutely tiny. I tried to adjust the screen resolution and the parameters "Change only the size of the text", but they do nothing. Anyone has an idea why this happens and what can be done to remedy this? I bought this laptop specifically to learn how to write code, and if I can't do it then, it was a waste of money.

    UPDATE: I think it has something to do with running applications in mode "64 bit". I have a copy of Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop CS5. Photoshop is 64-bit, and menu fonts are tiny. Illustrator is NOT 64-bit (I guess that means it's 32-bit) and the fonts in the menu there are fine. I don't know the exact implications, but I think that has got to be a factor.

    Of after your description and decide on the appearance of your screenshot, it seems to me that the application you are using is not "up-to-date in high resolution.  He doesn't know how to intensify text/assets to display on your screen at high resolution.

    You can read here: http://cmdrkeene.com/dpi-scaling-with-multi-monitor

    This is for a related topic, but it has the background on the origin of the error.

    Ppp settings if you want to experiment and find what works best for you, is here:

    Right click Desktop > resolution > text do and other Items larger or smaller (link down)

    It is clear to me from your screenshot that the interface of the program is expanded (tabs/menus), so it seems that your bet at the current DPI scale has the value probably of 125% or 150%.  But the program itself is not enforced across the inner text (code).  This means that the program does not understand how to use screens high definition, so that you are able to either bump to the top of the font size, the program uses, or lower your DPI so that your fonts are at least consistent (using 100%).

  • Site display problem and google fonts correctly in Internet Explorer?

    With the help of a number of muse sites hosted on our server of Interior work. However, sites and google fonts will not display correctly in Internet Explorer. They all work very well on the outside and are very well internally using Firefox or Chrome.

    Our Department IT said its a problem with our Internet Explorer settings on the server with its 'compatibility view' settings which are apparently down classified at lower versions of IE due to other internal software necessary. They sent me the following code to add in the HTML code:

    < meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = edge" >

    However, apparently tried once the code is sitting too low - their answer is:

    "The Muse puts this code too low in the order of the page so that it has the effect. This code should go at the top of the HTML code and I could not find a way to get Muse to put it there without manually changing the HTML myself. Unfortunately you must then edit each page to include this to have effect. »

    Does anyone have a solution for this or a better way to work around this problem?

  • How to edit text alignment and size fonts in a pdf file editable with acrobat reader DC?

    I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I'm trying to edit/format text in an editable form.  I need to change the alignment of the text and the font size, but can't seem to find a way to do it.  I tried several other recommendations, including right clicking in an empty space and clicking "Properties"bar, but which is not listed as an option.  What suggestions do you have?  Please and thank you!

    Thank you!  I thought about it.  It is possible.  It's a document that I bought at TeachersPayTeachers.  The creator allowed to edit, but I don't have the original document to change, just the PDF file.  For reference, I clicked on DISPLAY in the main menu.

    Then I clicked on SHOW/HIDE.  Then COMPONENTS toolbar.  Last, I clicked on VIEW the PROPERTIES BAR.  Thank you very much for the help.  I hope this helps others.

  • Newbe to epub creation... itunes book oven will not accept encrypted files from InDesign 2014... cant find them and which fonts can use one without this problem?

    Newbe to epub creation... itunes book oven will not accept encrypted files... cant find them and which fonts can use one without this problem?

    The book oven does not accept the embedded fonts that are encrypted, even if the encryption is by the IDPF specifications.

    InDesign will not incorporate fonts unencrypted by respect for the rights of the provider of the police.

    There is no work around as I know, at least with regard to preview what will look like the fonts. If you choose not to embed the fonts then the oven should work, but then you won't be able to see what the fonts look like, no?

    What is the team of InDesign epub is simply side load the epub via dropbox or by e-mail. Two of these routes allow you to choose "open with...". "and iBooks will be one of the choices.

    Apple knows about it. I suggest that you remember that, as a customer, you are not satisfied with this behavior and asks that they go back on their decision.

  • Types are rasterized and original fonts is not found

    Hello

    I have this gene that has occurred in the last month to reinstall Leopard to Snow Leopard.  My computer has been acting incredibly slow Snow Leopard, so I reinstalled Leopard again.  Later I noticed that most of the fonts from the pull down menu in Photoshop CS3 were extremely pixelated, when I typed the on a document.  The documents were printing (300), and Strong or Crisp anti-alias or other options so it wasn't that.  I've never had this problem before, but my assumption is that Photoshop can not locate fonts and gives me a version low resolution.  These fonts tend to have icons on the left side of the menu drop down.  I can also find them in my font book.

    I reinstalled Photoshop and the problem persisted.  What are my options?  I thought that if I can manually delete these fonts in a folder in the system that can do the trick.  I currently have less than 700 fonts and more fonts 2000 years or so I never had this problem. Here is a link to what I see when I type a font.

    [img] http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-4/22273/picture%20rt1.jpg [line]

    I get this once in a while, and a month ago I found a way to solve this problem, at least on my system.

    In preferences, under units & rules, I set Type Pixels instead of Points and restart PS. all of a sudden my type looks a lot sharper. When he goes to all new 'pixely' I check and for some reason, it's back to the points. I think it has to do with some fonts that I use from time to time. I have more than 5,000 in mylibrary, so I don't know which and I'm too lazy to check them all.

  • Line breaks ignored when using text HTML CSS and embedded fonts

    Someone at - it find it.
    When you use a style sheet with html text in a dynamic textfield with embedded fonts line breaks are ignored. It's as if TextField.condenseWhite is set to true. Essentially the < p > tags are treated as a < br / > tag.

    If I do not incorporate fonts, it works fine. Another weird thing is that if I add an empty paragraph < p > < / p > between the first two paragraphs it makes any following paragraph behave correctly. for example

    < p > first text paragraph here < /p >
    < p > second text paragraph here < /p >
    < p > third text of paragraph here < /p >

    poster as if there are < br / > between each of them.

    But

    < p > first text paragraph here < /p >
    < p > < / p >
    < p > second text paragraph here < /p >
    < p > third text of paragraph here < /p >

    behaves correctly even for the third paragraph.

    Here is the code that I work with (by using XML as I am filling dynamic textfield to XML)

    any help much appreciated

    UPDATE:
    After reading http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307326
    I tried the same experiment using a TF designed in the IDE, the results for each, although the TextFields are essentially the same are totally different.

    Updated CODE accordingly - just need TF on stage, called "ideTextField" with the font "Arial".

    Ok
    I gave up to play with style sheets, try display: block, inline, different ways to format the XML data, in play with XML.ignoreWhiteSpace and XML.prettyPrinting etc.

    I went down the road of encodeURI, using a regular expression to remove all tabs, line breaks and the transport returns. This now gives consistent results for all situations, even incorporated and any fonts embedded.

    for example
    _TEXT:string = TEXT FROM XML, HTML TEXT etc.

    var st:String = encodeURI (_text);

    var model: RegExp = /(%09) + | (0 %) + | (0 % D) + / g ;

    St = st.replace (model, "");
    St = decodeURI (st);

    YOUTEXTFIELD.htmlText = m;

    The

    Tags always behave like a
    Tag, but you can add an extra
    to simulate a paragraph.

    Here is the example with the updates,

    Hope this helps someone

  • Is the device fonts _serif * only * to view games Latin1 characters and Cyrillic in FTE?

    Hi all

    I think I understand, is that in Flash Player 9 and below TextField object was able to display any character language of the East Asia through fonts device "_serif", "_without" or "_typewriter".

    New FTES provided with Flash Player 10 TextElement object seems to use device fonts "_serif" only for games of Latin1 characters or Cyrillic.

    For example, FTES uses "Simsun" (rescue) police device to display Chinese language and characters for characters in the thai language, police FTE uses 'Angsana New' (of aid) of the device.

    My question is:

    Why does not TextElement of FTE "_serif" use device font to display characters language thai or Chinese as it did brother TextField in Flash Player 9 and below?

    The problem with fonts "SimSun" or "Angsana New" are not present in the Windows XP operating system (in English) at default install installation configuration.

    I'd put it simply - how older TextField component of Flash Player 9 is able to display thai characters when there is no other police of this device on Windows XP with Thai glyphs in addition to Tahoma and Microsoft Sans Serif fonts?

    TextField relies on GDI to do the layout. GDI supports mixed fonts: fonts that use the OpenType layout for some scripts and layout not OpenType for other scripts. Tahoma and Microsoft Sans Serif are mixed fonts.

    FTE does not support these mixed fonts, or more precisely: If there is provision OpenType for any script, we use the OpenType layout for all scripts. Our choice means that Tahoma and Microsoft Sans Serif cannot be used per FTE for thai. We felt that the benefits of not dealing with mixed fonts offset the disadvantages. In particular, if the user of a system can read thai, it is very likely that it will install other Thai fonts.
