  When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  Let windows fully recharge, open windows control panel, then open the Device Manager.

  Look for all the entries that are listed as "Unknown device" or have a warning (yellow) against them triangle.  For each of them, follow these steps.

  Right-click on the device problem and select Properties.  Click on the Details tab, choose hardware ID in the drop-down list and post back with the details presented in the title of the value.

  I'm thinking to a workaround to get my Windows RT to print wireless on my HP Officejet H470btw I have a HP bluetooth USB adapt, but not WIFI we. Even if the printer appears in the control panel - devices and printers via USB and Bluetooth, I get a message that it is "not compatible with this version of windows.

  So I take it while the driver is not available for RT and solution of wireless connectivity that I do, even with AIO Sofware, my printer will never be seen any hardware print server Windows RT ARM tablets.

  Am I wrong?

  Have windows 98 Hasbro Solitare loaded on the Vista computer.  Update for Windows 7 - will be loading / install vista injury or work - Windows 7.

  So if it's a game for Windows 98, and you run it under Vista as grats. It will work on 7? Well you don't know until you try :), I looked and looked but reallly can't find documentation of your online game. Probably if it works on Vista that will work on 7 but this is VERY probably not 100 percent.

  What I'm doing, some items suggest running the recovery disc but these models do not have a disc in standard?

  You don't 'reboot' of your computer to the factory settings.  What you're probably thinking of is the function "restore" or "recovery" that many brand computers allow you to do.  It's very different from the Windows system restore and in effect restores the computer to the way it was when it left the factory.  Everything you added to the computer after it's over.
   
  So, before you move on to the stage to do a factory restore (and sometimes it's the best solution for a severely infected computer), you must (a) back up all your data (documents, music, photos, etc.) on an external media and (b) find the full installation of the media - including product keys - for the programs that you have purchased and installed.   Then, after the restoration, the first thing you should install is an up-to-date anti-virus application.  Then use this antivirus software to analyze the backup media before you copy it to your computer.

  If you downloaded the software but did not keep the downloaded installer (and many, if not most, people aren't), you can probably download the installer again without having to pay if you still have the product key.  Check with the software publisher.

  How do you get the product key which you have now?  Download and run the free Belarc Advisor and Magical Jellybean Keyfinder (you probably need only one, but it is possible Belarc maybe find some keys that magical Jellybean is not and vice versa).  It is important that you run these programs before you uninstall or restore anything.  They will show the product keys for your programs installed.  With these keys and the installation media, you should be able to reinstall your software applications.

  Every time you start, I hear the sound of the device "Windows failed to connect.  How can I get rid of this?

  I have a printer HP of J6480 with WIn 7.  Device Manager does not recognize the printer driver.

  In Device Manager, the printer appears with the! error symbol.  No other devices have an error symbol.  The HP Solution Center and the printer work again.

  (1) I tried install fresh of the current HP software full functionality.

  (2) I tried the HP uninstaller program, through all five uninstall programs twice.

  (3) I ran CCleaner to clear the registry problems.

  (4) I tried to delete the Device Manager "Officejet! Entry J6400 series.  The Solution and the printer Center then do not work.  Apparently, the Device Manager recognizes the printer but not the driver.  I have to go to 'Programs', 'HP', then 'Officejet J6400 Series' to reinstall the software.

  (5) I tried to get the Device Manager to recognize the software.  When I click on «!» OfficeJet 6400 series', I get the message "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28).  If I then click on 'Update Driver' and select' Browse my computer for driver software"then click on"Browse "C:\Users\Myname\Downloads", where I have the Sofware HP 13.0 full feature software and basic print and Scan Driver files, he says "Windows cannot find driver software".   If I click on "Search automatically by the driver software", I get the same message.

  I would appreciate ideas!  Thank you!

  OK, if a few things stood here:

  1 windows its "cannot connect device" sounds only with a direct connection, not a network connection which is what you have. (Ethernet)

  2. have you had any other device installed on this computer is more active?

  I would like you disconnect the Ethernet connection and go below:

  1. uninstalling the printer software

  2. make a restart on the computer, when it starts, do you hear the sound "device cannot connect?

  2. you receive messages or error codes?

  3. are you able to use the webcam with other programs?

  4. were you able to use the front webcam in windows movie maker?

  5. did you recently sofware or hardware changes to the system?

• I have a flashing window on the taskbar that can't get rid of. Just started recently.

  I reformatted in Windows 8.1 on my dv6t - b 6, 00 Quad Edition and updated for most drivers, but it still lacks some functionality.

  Although I have installed the driver for my fingerprint reader, and it is listed in my device manager, I'm unable to implement to use for the connection.  According to me, HP Simple pass sofware Miss, but it is not listed under windows 8 for my drivers & software page.  I see Windows 7 as the sp56487, is this correct or is there another one for 8?

  Also, cyberlink PowerDVD is only listed under windows 7, this version will work for 8 or y at - it another version of this as well?

  Can someone help me with my laptop Windows XP and Windows Vista desktop network?  Despite many attempts (and failures!) I was not able to get the two machines on the same network.  It's very frustrating because I'm unable to access the documents from one computer to another, i.e. file sharing etc and have spent ages trying to do this!
