(Designed for care Forum) Dell cancelled my order reference
Hi people,
I was shot in the foot by Dell trying to buy a new computer? I ordered a computer last week, got my confirmation went to check through my confirmation email, to see that Dell had cancelled my order. I have been in contact with three different departments. My credit card authorized purchases, Dell says they cannot cancel the permissions, or to send me my product unless I have spend another command. Basically, I would just get my order or get my money, but I just couldn't do it anymore. Any recommendations?
Best regards
Dave
Canceled the order questions should not be posted here. They must be mailed on the Councilcustomer service. Each of you should start your own thread rather than replying to each of the other threads.

New Dell Ultrasharp U2417H old Inspiron 580 MT desktop computer monitor
My new monitor has arrived today, but I can't connect it with the included cables. My old Inspiron 580 was purchased in 2010 and my old monitor used the plug VGA.
The cables provided with the new monitor are the upstream USB 3.0 cable and a DP for CDM cable. It doesn't seem to be a taking of CDM on my desk then, how can I connect the monitor?
My first question to the seller Dell was "this new monitor would be compatible with my old desktop Inspiron 580, that is, about connectivity?" He said yes, he would.
Any help would be much appreciated - but not too technical if you please.
Thank you

Are just want to monitor the Raid or you try to do something else? You can try software raid lsi and see if it works. http://www.LSI.com/support/pages/download-results.aspx?component=storage+component&productfamily=legacy+RAID+controllers&ProductCode=P00278&assettype=0&ProductName=MegaRAID+SCSI+320-4x+ (531)
Or this http://sourceforge.net/projects/megactl tool
With it is not a validated OS, it is not possible so that it can work properly.

But intermediaries 1.2 root and server certificate
Hello world
I tried to renew the cert on ASA and I got 4 certificates from the seller
Intermediate1 and 2
Root cert
Server Cert
Server certificate is for ASA operating as VPN, what is the purpose of the other certs and where should I install them?
Concerning
Mahesh
Hello Manu,
You need to install the intermediate and the certificate root under certificates of CA on the ASDM.
And the certificate of the server has installed under the certificate of identity section.
After that, you need to replace the old trustpoint on SSL of the SAA with the new interface.
I have attached the screenshots as well.
Kind regards
Aditya

Looks like your CA server returns a 500 error.
You can check this by accessing this URL (http://10.0.4.2/certsrv/mscep/mscep.dll/pkiclient.exe?operation=GetCACert&message=ESSAUDE) using a browser. If it's all working, you should be able to download the certificate of the CA in this way (save it to, for example, ca.crt and try to open it).
I am not sure, because I don't know how your CA is implemented, but I think that the registration URL you configured in your trustpoint on the switch might be wrong. It works on all devices, or is it just these switches of the problems?

Security for the TANDBERG Content Server certificate
Hello everyone,
I have a question: How do I renew the security certificate for the TCS web interface?
Our client has Tanbderg COntent Server installed 4.1 and the certificate has expired, so it is inaccessible by Firefox (the only options are IE10 and less, but they also show a large number of errors).
Thanks in advance.
The recording is stored and then transcoded. When the process is complete, you will see registration resulting in the record view > Recorded. Click Play to view the recording. See the online help for more information.
Installation of a security certificate
The content Server has implemented SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Protocol to send the authentication information of the user (username and password) to securely to the user, log in. The SSL implementation means that the web UI must establish its letters of nobility with the browser of the user through an electronic document, called a security certificate.
Each unit is supplied with a self-signed certificate which is valid for one year. Because self-signed certificates are not a certificate authority approved, when users try to log the unit, most of the browsers displays a message that the site identity can not be verified.
You can add the unit to the list of sites approved in Internet Explorer or add an exception in Firefox to avoid seeing the connection error messages. However, Cisco recommends the purchase of a security certificate of a certificate to the authority who has a relationship of trust to an authority root, such as VeriSign or Comodo. These credentials are more likely to be approved by the browser, eliminating the need to add the unit to the list of trusted sites. This certificate must be generated against the Windows computer name or the DNS entry associated with the IP address that is using the device.
To install your security certificate purchased on the web site of the default unit:
Step 1 Connect to the appliance using remote desktop, then Start > administrative tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
Step 2 Under Internet Information Services, expand '(local computer)"and then"Web Sites. "
Step 3 , Right-click on default web site, and then select Properties.
Step 4 In the Directory security tab, click server certificate in the secure communications section.
Step 5 Follow the instructions in the Web Server Certificate Wizard to replace the current certificate with your purchase. For more information, see using Internet Information Services.
You can also install it for the website Administration of Windows Media and website administration of Windows Server in order to avoid security warnings when administrators to connect to these sites.
When you installed your certificate on web sites, this certificate is then used instead of that self-signed.
If the security certificate expires, (independent), browsers will display another warning and more no previous warning associated with self-signed certificates. A new certificate request can be generated by using the IIS Web Server Certificate Wizard. Once this request is generated, another self-signed certificate can be created by using a third-party tool or this request can be sent to a certificate issuing authority. Do NOT remove the expired certificate until you have installed a new because this will prevent any attempt to logon.

Authenticate or import the certificate to another vendoor
Hello
I have to configure the security scenario after:
On CISCO:
-Add server (CA1) of CA certificate which host peer certificates
-Add the CISCO recovered Certificate Server CA (A2)
So I used according to:
Crypto pki trustpoint CA_ROOT
Terminal registration
use of ssl-server
revocation checking no
and done manually authentication of the certificate of the CA server (A1).
This is what it looks like:
AS67129 (config) #crypto pki authenticate CA_ROOT
Enter the base-64 encoded certificate authority.
Ends with a blank line or the word "quit" on a line by itself

Result of this import command is that the certificate is not signed by the private key of CISCO.
Currently there is no private key to CISCO.
Any certificate is generated by the Protocol Server CEP, which will provide the certificate to the peer in host

Hi Renato.
The command crypto pki authenticate CA_ROOT is to authenticate the certificate authority (CA) (by obtaining the certificate of the certification authority)
This command is required when initially configuring CA support to your router.
This command authenticates the CA of your router with the CA certificate that contains the public key of the CA. Because CA signs its own certificate, you must manually authenticate the public key of the CA by contacting the CA administrator, when you enter this command.
In the following example, the router asking for the certificate of the CA. The CA sends its certificate and the router asks the administrator to check the certificate of authority of fingerprint verification of CA. The CA administrator can also view of the certificate of the CA, so you should compare what the CA administrator ensures that the router displays on the screen. If the fingerprint on the screen of the router matches the fingerprint, read by the CA administrator, you must accept the certificate as being valid.
Router(config)# crypto pki authenticate myca
Certificate has the following attributes:
Fingerprint: 0123 4567 89AB CDEF 0123
Do you accept this certificate? [yes/no] y#
import of crypto pki certificate of name is to import the certificate of identity on the router.

_S5_Thank you!
Greetings Andrewpleter4,
Fact some digging for you. Basically my documentation states that the Optiplex 745 supports Presler
series 9xx processors, as you already know since you use one. The thing important here in my opinion, it's that my documentation is wrong in any warning about not supporting any processor specific 9xx.I went to our list of Dell parts and found the part number: WM347 Presler P4 processor, 960, 3.6 G, 2 x 2 MB, FSB800, D0.
It seems that everything is the same as your 925, except the clock is higher. I am very confident that the 960 works in your system. This is the highest clocked processor taken Dell supported on the 745. You are the latest version of the BIOS, so you should be fine.
Please report if you have comments or questions about my answer.

Motherboard of Dell Studio 1745 Upgrade...?
OK, so I have a Dell Studio 1745 complete with Intel Graphics Decelerator and T6600 Core 2 Duo CPU
Of all my research, the 1747 and 1749 the motherboards are "physically identical" in what concerns the shape/size, and whether or not it will physically fit in the body of the laptop.
Now, I bought by mistake the SLBTV - Intel Core i5 - 540M 2.53 GHz/3 M PGA988/BGA1288 Mobile CPU processor thinking that it would work, having missed the 988 vs 478 on my 'Socket P '. Yes, the PET brain, but it is 4:00 and I'm tired!
Okay, so now that I've made this mistake, my research told me that the motherboard 0W87G9 W87G9 THE - 5155P of the 1749 'fit' in my system and work with the processor I bought. (I'm just on this?)
If so, logic tells me that my CPU/GPU heatsink would need to be replaced?
I looked and it seems that the fan is almost universal, but it seems that I need the following heat sinks:
G406T heatsink GPU
D636T CPU radiatorDoes anyone know if I'm wrong on this as well?
(The only problem I see is not have touches of heat transfer, but I think I can wing which)
Now assuming I'm wrong on these 3 parts and rebuild my system with them...
Anyone know if there is anything else I need to do in order to make this compatible configuration?
I know to change the motherboard will panic MS as much as my Windows OEM, but I plan on upgrading to 8 and looking for a cheap to replace touch screen mine where I can find one?
So far, this laptop seemed fairly extensible and interchangeable parts.
Anyone know if I'm heading in the right direction or if I'm about to of Wile E Coyote myself in a brick wall?
The only way to replace the graphics card is to replace the motherboard. My project has been a success, here are the basics for her.
It will replace a few other small parts like heat from the processor synchronization and the addition of the synchronization of heat from the gpu to the Régie that you install. You will also need thermal pads for them so keep that in mind and have them ready when you are installing (composed as Arctic Silver won't be thick enough to fill the contacts). Also, it will almost certainly replace the processor. Check which processors work with the Board of Directors that you get and if yours is compatible. If you're going to 1749 as I did, your will not, but the new processor was not expensive. I don't remember whether or not they were the same at the 1747.
The best thing I can say is go to "thepartspeople" which basically sell dell parts. You can put in your model laptop (1745) and then put in the motherboard as a part you want to replace. When you select the motherboard for the 1747 and 1749 it will tell you all the other parts you need to replace and whether or not they are in stock.
If they do not have the parts in stock that you need, use the places of numbers and research of party like amazon, ebay, etc., of a place where you can buy a replacement work (I could find just enough cheap also). It's a bit of work, but in the end, it is very useful. If you're sufficiently savvy and determined than enough I myself built what would be a $1200-$1600 laptop + dollar market for long for like half the price. Using this method, I added touch screen, several operating systems and backlit keyboard of hard drives, blue-tooth, upgrade wifi, work on the top processor i5 and 5650 1 GB graphics card. I am fully satisfied with how it turned out.
Free advice, however, if you have a webcam or a camcorder and decide to do this project yourself (the laptop) of narrow band take it apart and do it very slowly. This way if you are lost during reassembly you can listen to the recording back and watch how back together.
For the record, here are my current characteristics of the 1745 with that I started:
Motherboard: Dell Studio 1749
Processor: Intel Core i5 - 540 M 2.53 GHz/3 m
17.3 "touch screen (touch 2 points)
8 GB ram DDR3
2 x 1 TB of disk hard w / combo 8 GB SSD. (I run Win 7 and Ubuntu)
It has Bluetooth, Wireless N and a backlit keyboard.
I tried to use the Mini-PCI-E port as an SSD, but find the port type, there was not compatible with any of them I'd be interested in using. This proved more headaches that it was ultimately so I got a TV Tuner and put that in there. It is convenient when I'm in a hotel to use as a monitor for a game like the xbox a console.
Put the touch screen was another easy change, but it took to get the Ribbon of the connector (like a couple of bucks) and a new cover. You must make sure that it is the thickest, but he did well enough in a new laptop.
The only thing that I don't know about today is the cost and speed of the ram. When I did I have 8 GB of PC8500 really cheap and it works very well. I don't know if the higher clock speeds are working with her because I've capped on the motherboard for ram, and I know ram more expensive now.
At the time I did this search for an opportunity 1749 I found one that was not nearly as upgraded like mine, and it's over $ 1300 used was a very profitable project and I had fun doing it. I learned so much about the interchangeability of parts dell of this project that I now only buy computers dell laptops. I found that to try a similar project with HP, I bought my wife to be almost impossible. The difference is with thepartspeople you can easily find the parts you need and what is needed to update/change their. There is no help, as with all other brands of laptop I found and HP's not even sell you parts so you are stuck guessing and buy everything used. Not funny! If you are unsure, you can actually call thepartspeople and ask them about upgrades and they're going to double check the requirements of the part for you. They are awesome and alone brought me as a customer to dell for a long time.

Install ESXi 5.1 on Dell 1950
I'll have one of our technicians make a trip to one of our remote data centers to install ESXi 5.1 on an old 1950. Looking at the HCL list it appears the storage and network adapters (listed below) are supported, but in the past, I ran into the installer ISO stock lack the appropriate drivers for the storage and need to build a custom. Without being able to test this before making the trip, is anyway to know if the ISO stock recognizes the following?
Seller: DELL model: PERC 5 / i Rev: 1.03eth0: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T (B2) PCI - X 64-bit 133 MHz to mem f8000000, IRQ 169, node addr 0019b9ece2baeth1: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T (B2) PCI - X 64-bit 133 MHz to mem f4000000, IRQ 169, node addr 0019b9ece2bcAdvice would be appreciated.
Thank you

Yes, will also work.
There is in fact only an installation CD of ESXi (by version/patch level) provided by VMware, which is then customized by hardware (via ImageBuilder) vendors
