  The selector of color in my Photoshop CS3 Mac typically displays a single color tint (with different tones and saturation) in the color box. The color slider displays a "Rainbow" of colors.

  But recently, the color chooser has changed. I don't know how I hit it. It shows now a 'Rainbow' in the area of the tonal range and color field in the color slider. See attached screenshot.

  I would like to than the picker color to return to its previous state.

  Why is photoshop 14 colors drawing differently of 13 and is it possible to stop it?

  
  I have a 256, three-way wedge, made without dithering or aliasing, which draws perfectly (no bands or crossing) to the CS6.  This same file draw messed up in CC, with slight color changes and step by step. I saved the CS color settings and load them into the CC.  Individual channels to draw the same in both files seen separately.

  
  While my monitor calibration was not perfect this way on images gamma 1.8 (it's what I have my NEC spectraview value software), but it was not perfect, no stage, as colormatch and gray gamma 1.8 of CS4 through CS6.  Now, compare CC cs, on the same screen, the same file, same settings, channels to draw identical but the composite color is different.

  I realize that it probably doesn't sound bad in the context of a Web browser, however, usless I made some gross mistaken, rendering has changed and I don't see any documentation on this.

  You see the same problem when you set your drawing (in advanced GPU settings) on basic Mode and restart Photoshop?

  There are two places Photoshop can make changes in the management of colors - in the GPU and the CPU, and the Basic setting (or disabling the operation of GPU completely) moves in the CPU, which was traditionally less problems.

  I'm sure that some work has been done in the field of color-based management the GPU in recent history.  Not all adobe changed is documented.

  To this day (and going all the way back to least CS5) I can reproduce a case where a 16-bit smooth gradient expressed in a document in the ProPhoto RGB color space will appear with stripes and color.  He does not happen with all color spaces.  Including ProPhoto RGB has the same value of gamma (1.8) like what you mentioned.

  I wonder if what you see with your test document can be one and the same problem, but somehow that was triggered to display with your group of test data.  Any chance you have moved to the top of the basic mode to Normal or advanced GPU which coincides with seeing this?

  I am able to set up a custom in Illustrator without any problem gradient, but I wanted to know if there is a way to use the color picker when setting your custom colors or if you are limited to a narrow bar of color (which has all the colors but feels harder to use for me)?

  Click color to change in the Panel degraded stop / palette. Then, double-click on the fill area at the bottom of your tool palette/Panel. Who should bring up the color picker and color you choose apply until stop in the gradient you had clicked.

  Alternatively, double-click the area fill with nothing selected to bring up the color picker. Choose your desired color, and then drag the color from the fill box to the Swatches palette/Panel to create a new shade. Later, with the gradient panel/palette active, you can drag samples directly on the steps of color to change your gradient.

  Rather than put into squares colors use color chart & global colors (indicated by a white triangle at the bottom of the swatch)

  

  To apply the nuance to a point of gradient is easy. You select the point of gradient (indicated by a black triangle above the point of gradient). ALT then click a color in the Swatches palette to fill this gradient.

  

  If you use global colors, you can easily double, click a shade and change colors and all uses of the color update.

  Here, I've added 44 black to make the Green darker.

  

  World Vision automatically adjusts the point of gradient.

  I am running Windows Home Premium and have attempted to reverse to the standard vista scheme through customization > window color and appearance, but has only Windows Classic as an option.

  I also right click on the bar of tasks and disappeared on properties in this way, it shows the taskbar as the standard version of Vista but the taskbar is still in basic.

  I used the diagnosis of DirectX tool tests to see if an error has caused this, but it does not revisit what whatsoever, and my laptop recognizes that it runs Windows Home Premium.

  Also tried to restart, but nothing changes...

  The only thing that I think may be linked to this is after a recent update of the last time that I closed my laptop, but I don't see what update it was.

  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  I found that if you go to the computer, right click on it, go on manage, then go to Services on the left column, scroll down to find topics, left-click and then in the upper left of this part of the screen there is a link to restart the Service, click , click on it, it will restart the service for the themes.   I installed Photoshop on a new server and when I open an image in Photoshop displays colors incorrectly. If I then move the mouse to the images it then corrects the color. I see not why he did it because I didn't see any changes to the default settings during the installation. Does anyone know why it does this?
