  I have a smart camera NI1722 and I want to change some variables inside the camera by a computer which is connected to the camera.

  Is it possible to change the variables inside the camera from a computer outside? On the computer we program with CVI. We have a RS232 and TCP/IP connection.

  There are several ways to Exchange data between a smart camera and CVI on the host computer.

  The easiest way is probably to use shared variables.

  I use 11.1.2.1, and I thought I'd try this fancy novelty of the use of environmental variables in a script to calc DATAEXPORT.
  
  I've played around a little and believe that what follows is true.
  
  Environmental variables must be the full path (including file name), the export must write to the service.
  
  Assume the following:
  $DATAPATH = C:\data
  $FILEPATH = C:\data\export.txt
  
  If you try to export to $DATAPATH, it will be wrong because there is no file associated with this path name.
  If you try to export to $FILEPATH, it will work fine.
  
  This kind of defeat is not the purpose of the use of environmental variables if you need a different variable for each file name?
  
  My hope is that it worked like this:
  
  Assume the following:
  $DATAPATH = C:\data
  
  In our export calc, you might add values that are specific to this calc/app.
  
  for example
  
  App 1 export:
  DATAEXPORT 'File' ' | ' $DATAPATH/App1/filename.txt;
  
  Export App 2:

  The dataexport command is very picky on the path of the file that you have discovered it works that you place the complete file name path in a variable.
  It is also possible to use substitution variables, but once more I think that you must use the full path/name - Re: MaxL DATAEXPORT with parameters passed

  You don't need to have _global, but you can if you wish.  Still, you should get out of place the code on the objects and start now in the timeline panel.  This makes maintaining the scope of variables and it makes your code where it is easier to find.

  Is it possible to change the variable cpQuizInfoPassFail through advanced actions? I do not see this or the other quizzing variable when I try to create an advanced action and change by entitlement or expression. Let me explain what I want to accomplish, I ask the wrong question. I have a training project, with that I need to include a post test. I don't really like the captivate quizzes. I want the post-test to play as a ride on jeopady where the user chooses issues category and gets points if the user answers correctly. For this I must ask questions on a game board and (from what I can fig) you cannot have multiple questions on the same page. I'm building the quiz with my own custom variables and coded so that the program jumps to a page of the certificate if the user gets more than 84 points. THA all works very well. But I have to be able to tell the database that the program will connect with the user has passed the quiz. I thought I could do this if I assign the value 1 to the variable cpQuizInfoPassFail. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help,

  I don't see the version you are using. Each interactive object can be marked, has a report following properties in the control panel (if you use CP5 or CP5.5) or a tab in the Properties dialog box reports, if you use a different version. You must add a score (default value is normally 1 point) and make sure you add it to the total score.

• How can I create an event listener for the change of variable shared or similar?

  I have a 'big' 6 devices communicating measurement system via the TCP protocol. The system is designed to use REST (the representative State transfer) with JSON (JavaScript object notation).

  Now, I need to add labview program to this environment. I've implemented a solution to 'work' with the help of this forum. Thank you for this! Now, I need to do better (currently no timestamps, large delays, etc.).

  I currently have a web service deployed using http-get as input. My web service .vi is just passing the web entrance to shared variables that are then questioned in real measurement program. Reason is that when I put the measurement program directly to the web service, it does not (something about rights and dependencies). Measurement program includes one third of the owners (Instron) drivers. Also I would not direct access via the network to our mechanical testing device potentially dangerous.

  Now, I want to change the message from the web services .vi commensurate .vi. Currently I have a loop of 10ms to query for changes in the shared variable. Is there a better way to do this? I thought create a listener to the shared variable change events.

  In addition, if you have any ideas (preferably, working code example) how to make the interface between labview and TCP-JSON I would really appreciate it.

  Currently in LabVIEW, the only way to create an event listener or event NSV is to use the DSC toolkit.  Most of the time the DSC is a very expensive tool that simply encapsulates the functionality that is built into the motor of the PSP and OAS and which is accessible to anyone who can program in LabWindows/CVI.

  If you want to collaborate, I would like to create a small library of LV that would create a base SV events using a vi LV reminder or possibly passing return user LV event which is how works the DSC toolkit.  I asked OR several times to explain how do this and they're very tight discreet about it.  I guess that they do not want to give users LV less reason to buy the DSC.

• Change local variable boolian Programaticaly

  I came across something today, that I have ever dealt with in Labview...

  I downloaded a driver of instrument for a power supply, and got it working OK (using VISA on the USB communication).

  The example program pilot itself works very well and is a quasi State machine.  It it turns on and off and adjusts the voltage and current correctly, as it should.

  Then I need to edit the .VI to add a time on another timer .VI.  I wrote that the small simple VI and it works properly as it should.

  It's just a boolian power timer.  Lights at 08:00 daily, stops at noon every day.

  The problem I have is the boolian called variable "Output (T:Enable)" which is located in the .VI power supply example is a Panel button, but it is called several times as a local variable.

  (once again, I did not write this part and please no lectures on why you should never use a local variable...)

  When you change the State of the button "Output (T:Enable)" Panel, the power supply turns on and off as it should.

  The problem comes when I try to control this value boolian using my timer VI.  I've tried several things, and using debug, I can't 'Output (T:Enable)"to change state.

  The value will change ONLY if the button is pressed or not.

  ATTENTION: The illustrated local variable condition is also a security in case of short or overload, power off if the name cannot be changed.

  Is there a way I can trigger "Output (T:Enable)" using 'My exit timer' but always make sure that stop you it if there is a short circuit?

  This left me speechless... I tried several different things and just can not understand.  Any help would be appreciated.

  You are not sure, I understand the problem in its full extent, but I'm guessing that you want to trigger the event that controls the output (T: Enable)? If you want to programmatically, create a node of the control property and use the property "value (follow the signs). Writing of a local variable will not draw the event, although this will change the value of the façade.

  I think that featured it on my on and it helps me understand a lot.

  I thought that my custom button class field was one thing, but it seems that it actually creates a separate instance for each field. Therfore BoldFont was false for a single field button and true for the other button field.

  I saw the same effect when I tried it on Mozilla, I had to clear the cache and then refresh it. Looks like a cache - don't know why you would do that. Using Mozilla?

  You can try IE and Firefox? If both do not work, try to clear your cache and see if this is useful and I would say to trigger a SR.

  I wouldn't say I am an expert JS coder by any medium, but I had a rummage through the project code published and got an idea of what made CPM.js.

  I found if I created a fast Action in first grade and he attributed to an object on a slide, this is why the tip Action is included in CPM.js I can invoke the Action by targeting the data objects in scene as follows: cp.runJavascript (cp.model.data.nameOfStageObject.oca);

  I don't know if this is the best way or is rising on the browsers and mobile devices (I need to test more), but it seems to work.
