How to set the time it takes for my computer access mode standby, when I do not use it? Thank you.

    Hi ILUVHAWAII,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

By default, your computer goes to sleep after a short period of inactivity to save power. To keep the computer awake longer, increase the sleep after setting.

To keep your computer awake longer

    1. open power Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking power Options .
    2. in the left pane, click change when the computer sleeps.
    3. in the change for the plan of the parameters in the page computer standby list, click the amount of time slot on battery or AC (or both) and then click Save changes.

  • vRealize change of Collection interval

    Hello

We are experiencing performance issues in our vmware environment and I installed vRealize to see if there are obvious problems. But the resolution of the collection of 5 minutes is too long it is possible to change this to a minute or more than 20 seconds? And if so, how will this affect performance?

    Thanks for your comments.

    Marcus

    Hi Marcus,

Yes it is possible to change the interval between two collections to 1 min (you can specify the interval between two collections by minutes), but it is impossible to set in seconds. You can go to the Administration-> Select objects explore the inventory where you need change the collection interval press the button Edit object (yellow pencil) and in the section advanced settings change the interval between two collections.

  • Change to test interval

I run a test of "Listening Mode" to collect statistics for our ESXi servers.  We would like to do so in a few days.  Is it possible to change the interval by which metrics are gathered?  It seems to be 20 seconds.  It would be also good to change settings that are captured.  For example, we don't care interruptions for this exercise.  The motivation for the setting of the interval and the metric is to reduce the disk space consumed by each test data.

    Hello

To change the snapshot interval, you can do so via a http command:

    http:// : 8180, IOAnalyzer, ioanalyzer, script? command = set-naked-interval & value = 20

You can change 20 at the interval that you need. The minimum interval of snapshot is 6 seconds (included), and the value must be an integer.

Note that this change is NOT persistent, so you have to do it every time that you restart the controller of the virtual machine or restart the tomcat server.

Because now we do not have an option to remove unnecessary counters since the underlying library, we always take a complete snapshot and we simply analyze and display the disk/network/CPU related counters.

  • Interval of time Machine

How can I set the interval of time machine.

    Hi peterfromerlangen,

I understand that you want to change the time interval when Time Machine backs up your Mac.  You cannot change the interval.  However, you can disable automatic backups and choose to manually back up your computer when it is most convenient for you.

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

    Backup using Time Machine

After you set up Time Machine, it does automatically hourly backups for the past 24 hours, daily backups for the month past and weekly for the past few months a whole. Older backups are deleted when your backup drive is full.

    • To back up now rather than wait for the next automatic backup, choose Back Up Now from the Time Machine menu .
    • To stop the automatic backups, turn off time Machine in Time Machine preferences. You can always back up manually by choosing back up now from the Time Machine menu.
    • To pause a backup, choose Stop Time Machine backup on the menu. To continue, choose Back Up Now.
    • To check the backup status, use the Time Machine menu. The icon shows what Time Machine backup , slowed down until the next automatic backup , or unable to finish the backup .
    • To exclude the elements of your backup, open Time Machine preferences in the Time machine menu, click Options, and then click Add and select the item to exclude.

Your first backup may take a while, depending on the number of files you have. You can continue to use your Mac while a backup is in progress. Computers Mac some make backups, even while you sleep. Time Machine backs up only files that have changed since the previous backup, so future backups will be faster.

    See you soon,.

  • Graphical evolution of waveform changes during execution

    Hello

I'm just started learning Labview graphical programming. It's so interesting that text-based programming.

The first issue is of course acquire analyze and display. But on the screen how to change the X axis and Y, scale of the axes during execution values.

Maybe you should b a little more clearly what kind of values you want to change. (range, offset, multiplier, etc..)

For example, to change the interval-y, yscale user property...... minimum or maximum range. The interval-x is a little more complicated, because you're dealing with a graph, when the x offset the changes automatically the history buffer is updated.

Of course you must also make sure to disable autoscaling, else it will be for the next update.

You can also change the formatting of the x axis. at the moment you show zero decimal digits. Also an axis 'style' with a few values more would be better.

  • How to change ICM Intervel sleep...?

    Hi all
We are on R12.1.3, OEL 5.4,11.2.0.1 DB,
We use parallel concurrent treatment in EBS. It is "when I submit a simultaneous concurrent request manager is not picking up quickly its take time to 30 seconds to start." I went through some of the documents who offer to decrease the interval of sleep ICM. I want to reduce the interval of sleep for ICM, but its not allowing to change the interval of sleep (the parameter field is not editable)
This is the navigation that I used.
System administrator-> simultaneous - Manager - Define-> internal Manager - blood (sleep interval field is 60 sec and grayedout)

It would be awesome if anydby can help with a workaround or a document.

Active users and active responsibilities are usually handled by the Standard Manager - you need to set the seconds of sleep according to needs - Oracle recommends a number of more than 9 seconds. • GlobalAutomatic with voidable wait interval

    Hello
I would like to have a GlobalAutomatic activity that starts a process with a predefined interval, so I would use the vote by the Interval property. but I also want to change this interval dynamically, for example modifiyng a settings in company.

If I create a company X parameter with a string value which is 5 m (5 minutes) that I can not use this company in the interval field to wait setting.

Does anyone know how can I do this?

    Thank you

The property of the poll to a Global Auto is be changed dynamically during execution.

What you can do is rather to have a separate process running that has a Message activity wait (not a timer or you find yourself in the same situation you are in) with a transition Due to an automatic activity. There is a bit of "wiring" is necessary, but once you have it working you interval dyanamic functionality you're looking for. Here's where you can find and download a working example the steps listed below: http://www.4shared.com/file/229611869/5fbe296/DynamicallySetIntervalToCreate.html

(Named "MessageWaitDyanamic" in the sample project) the Message property wait must be set to 'external '. The automatic activity (called "Wait for the time interval" in the example) have an unconditional transition to the waiting of Message and the Message activity wait activity would be a conditional transition set to "false", because you want the work item instance in this process of loop between the Message wait and automatic activity. You will use the automatic activity to create the work item instance in the other process (process called "Process to create Instance In" in the sample project) when regular transition fires.

The reason why I did this way was because unlike the global auto and timer, you can dynamically set the interval of time used by a regular transition. In this process, note that there is an instance of time interval variable named "timeInterval. This variable is used in "Interval Expression" of the transition Due. If you decide to use a business setting to determine the interval setting, remember to make the parameter business a string and put it in 2d for 2 days, 2 m 2 M for 2 months 2 minutes, etc... If your setting of the company is called "TIME_TO_WAIT", then interval Expression of the transition of your due date would be

    Interval(TIME_TO_WAIT)

There is a problem in which you must be aware of. Once the Message activity reached work item instance wait, she'll wait for the period during which has been defined in the parameter variable or commercial when it reaches the first activity to wait message (for example, 2 days). You can change the setting of the business in 3 days, but the work item instance still not use the parameter 3 days until the remainder of the initial term is up. The 3 days that setting you changed don't pick until the instance hits the automatic activity and back loops in the waiting Message activity.

This is the case, I would say that you do what I did in the example. I added another activity wait Message named "dynamically change time ' which has its set of properties"Allows to interrrupt"(note the Lightning). Activity in the example named "dynamic change of time interval" allows an end user to dyanmically Global Interactive change time interval and then sends a notification to the current instance changing the time interval for the only instance running in the process of "process that creates Instances in Other Process." It interrupts the proceedings, sends the instance Message activity wait "dynamically change time", reset the time interval for the new interval, and then returns the instance to the activity of "MessageWaitDynamic" in the process.

  • Has anyone found a fix for Airport Express music jump Apple?

I searched for weeks for a solution to my intermittent gaps in music, aka jump. It's so frustrating. I really don't want to have to go to a wired solution. It will take too long and a cable unattractive in my rooms.

I use the Bright House Networks 5 ghz Arris DG1670 router/modem that my provider rents for me.

The router is less than 30 feet of my Airport express

The airport express is on the ground, hooked by fiber TosLink Cable to my Focusrite Safire Pro 24.

    • Thinking that this could be a problem I have since turned sideways to try it as a cure for that surface in contact with the ground is less. The next step, I'll try is put on something instead of on the floor. But given the proximity is is not much of a problem anyway.

    I tried:

    • change the channel on my router from 11 to 40 to 47 to the automobile. They all jump.
    • I tried the 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz for connections.
    • Streaming of my Macbook Pro, streaming from my iPad 2 Air
    • Change the setting of joint A/N to N only (since the Express a N)
    • Activation and deactivation of WMM in the router configuration.
    • Pass bandwidth of 20/40 to 20 only and then back again to 20/40.
    • Change the interval of tag to 500 ms 100. (This allows supposedly with the flow and the battery life).

All jumps. But after change the channel to a 44 superior to WMM and putting the Express with nothing around him to block the antenna inside, he seems to ignore a little less. It is likely that there are too many networks in my home nearby that are fighting in the spectra of bandwidth, but I hope someone may be able to offer something else.

I suggest anyone with the same problems to try some of the "fixes" I tried above reading.

    Thank you.

It may just be possible that you have a bad AirPort Express...

I'm assuming that you have a 2nd generation 802.11n AirPort Express AND that you have configured to join the wireless network provided by your gateway Arris... correct?

The router is less than 30 feet of my Airport express

As you probably already know the AirPlay flow is from your MacBook Pro or iPad 2 Air to the Arris first, then, the Express. In theory, you should get the best streaming when all these devices are co-located. As you can imagine, if you take a camera from another room or floor, the stream will pass through a number of walls, floors, ceilings, etc., which will affect the overall available bandwidth.

    • Change the setting of joint A/N to N only (since the Express a N)

Not quite correct. The Express supports modes radio 802.11a/b/g/n. 802. 11A only works on band 5 GHz. 802. 11 b or g only works on the 2.4 GHz band, and 802.11n can operate on either.

    • Activation and deactivation of WMM in the router configuration.

AirPort base stations do not QoS support for this parameter shouldn't have any effect.

    • Pass bandwidth of 20/40 to 20 only and then back again to 20/40.

This setting is usually only on the 2.4 GHz radio. All AirPort base stations do support 20 MHz channels across this tape. I suggest you leave this set to "20 option."

and put the Express with nothing around him to block the antenna inside, he seems to ignore a little less.

Most likely, it was the most effective solution. All wireless routers must be placed so that they are in a (possible) clear space for their antennas to be clear... especially of metal objects.

It is likely that there are too many networks in my residence nearby which are fighting in the spectra of bandwidth...

It is unfortunately a real problem... and maybe deserves to be studied more, if only to verify that it can be a cause. In an intense environment of Wi - Fi, most people will try to get the "best" of the performance of their network. This could mean, they have implemented their wireless routers to produce a network that can interfere with others without thinking.

At best, you can try to change the channels that you already find one located on a less used channel... but without duplication of canals, including on the 2.4 GHz band are very limited. (1, 6 or 11 to the United States).

  • Hours set for Time Machine

Can someone tell me how to change the interval Time Machine creates backups on an IMac running IOS 10.11.4? The default value is too frequent and slows down the imac to a crawl.

You can disable TM and do your backups manually. But TM should not interfere or slow down your Mac.

Download and run EtreCheck, created by one of his own assistants here in CSA. It is a diagnostic tool that is very useful for us to find problems. It will also give us additional specifications on your Mac. After his execution after the logfile here. It will never contain any personal information

I have disabled hardware acceleration, and now everything is fine. so maybe it's a bug.

  • SOLUTION for your HP printer disconnect and/or constantly disconnecting from the network

If you are having a problem printing, scanning or fax with any HP printer because of this be disconnected and constantly disconnecting from the network, here again is the fix!

I thought that this all after several failed attempts with HP Support, my Internet access provider and various troubleshooting tasks including reinstall the HP software and more and more.  Well, through self teaching on internet and exhausting search for 6 months, I FINALLY thought to it.  OMG!  I'm a paramedic (not IT) and a little computer but far not an expert.  I have all of you here!  Nobody seems to have the answer, but I'm sure that I'm doing it to 97%.  Whatever it is, if it please answer and let me know that it worked for you!  :-)

It doesn't matter if your printer is installed cable or wireless.  You don't reinstall your software, no recycling power of your printers or your router/Modem.  Your printer is unstable on the network and continues to log out or disconnect from the network it is NOT because the software is glitched, it isn't a firewall problem by saying, is not a router problem, is not a problem with your power cord, because most networks use a 'Beach' and IP addresses for security reasons This kind of "cycles" the IP addresses of the devices to reduce the risk of an attack.  A printer is not a threat, but the 'network' don't own human intelligence, so he does not know this.  Here are my step by step instructions on how to basically your printer address IP (static IP) instead of change back through a cycle so drop your printer on the network or disconnected.

Funny, if you're someone who has had the elements in your print queue, they will not print, and you turn your printer off and on again and suddenly your print... well documents, join my club.  The reason it works is that when you turn on the printer, it starts with the same IP address before cycle.  If you are someone who is sitting there for a while and all of a sudden your printed documents without changing you something... it is because through the cycle of change of IP address, it hits your printers IP address and the network would allow him to print.  Not very funny, I know.  It took me forever to figure out why my printer would print sometimes, but not always.  Since I thought at this point, I can SCAN, PRINT, and use all the features of my HP software installed like HP, Photosmart Essentials Solution Center.

On your printer, go to menu/Setup/network and press OK.  In the network menu, print a "network configuration page" so you can see the IP address and other settings of your printer.

Now, back to the main menu on the screen of your printers.  Or you can go to your web browser and type the IP address using decimal numbers too and this will take you to the web page of your printers.  Choose: setup\network, then press OK.  Look for the IP settings and press OK. Choose "manual" instead of "automatic". Manually enter the IP address it as well as the default gateway that you can see the Network Setup page you printed earlier.  Note: If you manually set the IP Address of the printer, make sure that it is outside the range of your router's DHCP. Otherwise you might encounter a problem with IP addresses on your network duplicate. (If you don't know how to do this, write back and I'll explain).  Don't forget to click "save changes".  Now, restart your computer, and print just what you want.  :-)

A trick I often use with DHCP network printers:
In printers and faxes, right-click on the printer and select "Properties".  Click Add a new port.  Choose standard TCP/IP port configured for the host name of the printer. Read the host name of the network printer configuration sheet.

Using my method means that you always connect to the printer even if its IP address changes (which can happen with the dynamic configuration). This does not jeopardize the security of your network.  It shows just your printer to stay put and stop traveling the highway of IP address.  :-)

The DHCP range is the range of IP addresses that the router distributes automatically as devices to join the network.  The DHCP range is determined by the router and each brand has a range that is set at the factory (which can be changed by you).

Default value for the DHCP of your D-link is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199.  Thus, outside the DHCP range est.2 a.99.200 a.254.

Is a handy cheat sheet attached.

You can change this interval by entering the router settings page - type the router's IP address in a browser, enter the login information and access the DHCP parameter area (varies depending on router, hunting around).
