  Hi all

  I was under the impression (from past experiences) that SSH self-signed certificates are made up of the host name and the domain name of the router.

  I worked on a network of customers and I can see that the RSA SSH certificate uses the old hostname of the device + name field but SSH works always inbound and outbound on the VTY lines!

  I thought you were to related keys and recreate it using the encryption key generate rsa command to continue using SSH after a host name changed so that the new certificate contains the new host name?

  Any explanation would be greately appreciated

  Hi David.

  Yes after having modified the router setting hostname, SSH domain name will still work with the old certificate.

  What I can suggest is you to recreate through cryptographic key generate rsa command in configuration mode.

  I believe that you SGD now on hostnamex (instead of hostname2) and if you want to change REPOSITORY_URL to the Agent.
  This is what we call reconfiguration management officer to point to a new SGO. Here is the link to the documentation that contains the exact measurements:

  I need to change the 'HOST NAME' of several laser printers.  In the past, I've always used a print server or on a peer-to-peer network, I used the Ip address.  This year, for this client, I'll have to use the printer host NAME, because they no longer support static IPS, that is not a problem, except that it has been long since I changed the host names on some models.

  in any case, on a 4250dn of HPLaserjet, I discovered where in the printer control panel to change the name of 'host' and I found how to change the characters. but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put end the new name or how to set the printer to save the new name.  This last statement has no presence?  Example: I wanted to change the name of 'NPI895IE' to 'Make PRESSURE' I can't figure out how to remove the letters that come after the number 9 and how to record record everything that at that time there.  I know it's probably very easy and I'm just a bonehead, but can someone help out me?

  Ken, use the webserver built into the printer and it will be a piece of cake.

  Set the printer's IP address in the browser's ADDRESS bar, and after that open built-in Web server click the Networking tab.

  You may need to click out around a bit to find the host name, don't forget after you change you must find the button drop down, down and give a click.

  Our ESXi environment consists of four hosts with VCenter server with a network SAN EMC e.  It's all about 5.0 but, I am about to upgrade to 5.5 and add an additional host at the same time.  Here are my questions.

  1. can I save the config on an existing host and change (hostname, IP, etc.) to import to the new host?  I've not seen a way to edit the configuration file once I have to export it as a backup.  The only way that I can get is to browse the data store, take the txt config file and import that once the new host is turned on.  I make a mountain out of a hill of mole too think this?

  2 shooting. me in the foot if I bring the new host online 5.5 along side the existing hosts to 5.0?  The reason for this is because resources are tight on the four existing hosts and I can ' t vmotioin all the machines virtual it which means I have to close the servers...  If I can bring up the new host 5.5 that would allow me to put up-to-date without significant interruptions in service.

  1. According to the number of servers that you want to install, it can be easier and faster (and more supported) to just manually configure settings, unless you use Enterprise + licenses that provides profiles of the host.
  2. Basically, there should be no problem with the new hosts v5.5. However, do not forget that the fist you must update vCenter Server to v5.5 to add v5.5 hosts...

  Can you change the host name and try new installation?

  Please change hostname in:

  sysconfig

  / etc/hosts

  and

  /Home/Oracle/.bash_profile - if you set ORACLE_HOSTNAME environment
