need to change host on existing short host name

Hi all

I installed all the packages of core of short (Mdex6.2.1, Platform6.1.1, Workbench2.1) and a pipeline on one of GNU / linux. Now, there is a need to change host name. Hope that it breaks any existing platform and the pipeline. Is there any linked document?

What I think about short perspective are,

Change hostname on environment.properties
URL change on pipeline file esp

Change the host name of the central server of ABC on Workbench

URL change the app Setup overview on Workbench

Is this what I need to consider?

all comments are more than welcome.

Thank you

Take a look at KB support: how to change IP addresses or host names for hosts short (Doc ID 1532056.1).

  • Host name of metadata

    Hi all.

    I need to extract information from repository OWB mapping. I managed to extract everything I need, except a little piece (of enough critical) data: the host name. I thought it would be stored in the places view or discovers modules but it isn't either.

    If you look in the project-> database-> Oracle--> name of the comic and then right-click-> open the editor, you get the module editor. Under the metadata tab location is base of data such as username, host, port, service and schema. What I need is the host name.

    I found the database link information in the view of information systems, but this proved to not be the info I needed.

    Any ideas where it can be stored? It's going to be there somewhere. I'm going blind through these points of view. ;-)

    Thanks in advance.

    Try the cmpstringpropertyvalue_v view. For example, to list all the properties for a location

    SELECT val.logicalname, val.value
    Of
    cmpstringpropertyvalue_v val,
    loc cmplocation_v
    WHERE val.propertyowner = loc.elementid
    AND loc.name = '';

  • I need to change my details of window mail host

    I typed in an invalid address for my Windows mail e-mail program & I need to change what I can send emails directly on Web sites. Where to find the info on the host & server my pc uses? I have no modem & just use wifi places.

    You need an ISP (Internet Service Provider) to configure Windows Mail to send emails to craigslist, etc.

    Or if you want to use Yahoo and Windows Mail, you must PAY version of Yahoo Mail PLUS for POP3.

    http://www.vista4beginners.com/Windows-Mail-Yahoo-mail-plus

    Set up Windows Mail to connect to Yahoo Mail Plus

    You can use Yahoo or Hotmail for web based email on the hotspots.

    Here is general information about how you would normally define Windows Mail, if you have an ISP (Internet Service Provider): http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-mail-setting-up-an-account-from-start-to-finish

    And you can open Windows Mail > tools > account > your account > properties > change for servers

    http://www.SimpleHelp.NET/2007/02/07/a-beginners-guide-to-setting-up-Windows-Mail/

    Link above has an easy to follow Guide to set up Windows Mail.

    Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

    They offer your broad band/Dial-up connection.

    Ask them to:

    username
    password for your service account to wide band/Dial-Up with them

    Server of incoming POP3 mail
    outgoing mail SMTP server

    The above information is required to set up Windows Mail.

    ISPS are usually happy to help you set up your email account.

    See you soon.

  • LaserJet P1505n printer: How can I change the host name to NPI1BDC68 to meaninful something more?

    My network, a HP LaserJet P1505n printer, host name is set to NPI1BDC68. Is this cable or is there a way for me to change? Trying to solve: manuals were reviewed, Forum questions were searched, google General search conducted. I am running Win XP and a Mac Pro with OS X 10.6.8.

    Well, which took me 10 minutes to solve.  I found the answer on a HP site based in France. (I kinda changed my google query and tried again.)  The site asks on first access, if you wish to continue in English, thankfully.  http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01175001

    In short, use Internet Explorer or Safari, go to the IP address of your network printer.  For Win XP users, you can determine the IP address using, start/printers and faxes /(select printer)/properties/ports tab / select new/Configure button/second field printer port to down the IP address shown.

    Once connected to the network printer subsystem, select the Networking tab.  The host name is the first field which can be changed. Enter a new name from 1 to 15 characters.  Tip: He doesn't like spaces. Underscores work well and the new name can be mixed case. Press the button apply at the bottom of the screen when done.  Warning appears that access to the printer may need to be changed if the IP address has been changed.  Acknowledge the warning. Printer goes offline for a few seconds. The page automatically refreshes and the new host name can be confirmed by inspection.

    ---------------

    The cmdlet Get - Log do not create the destination folder if it does not exist, so you will need to test for this condition.

    AFAIK, you don't need to connect to each ESXi individually when you are connected to the vCenter.

    Since the discharge of generated log file name is rather cryptic, I rename the file normally and add a timestamp.

    You could do something like that

    $clusterName = "mycluster.

    $FilePath = 'S:\Get-Logs\Logs\$($clusterName) ".

    If (!) ((Test-Path-path $FilePath)))

    {

    Novelty - ItemType Directory - Path $FilePath

    }

    $varHost = get-Cluster-name $cluserName | Get-VMHost

    {foreach ($ESX to $varHost)

    $destPath = "$($FilePath)-$($ESX.). Name.Split('.') [0])"

    If (!) ((Test-Path-path $destPath)))

    {

    Novelty - ItemType Directory - Path $destPath

    }

    $logName = get - Log - VMHost $ESX - Bundle - DestinationPath $destPath

    If ($LogName)

    {

    Rename-Item - Path $logName - NewName "$($destPath)-$($ESX.). Name.Split('.') [0])-$((Get-Date).) ToString('yyyy-MM-dd-hh-mm')).

    }

    }

  • ESXi 4 - changing IP and host name

    Are there any known issues or needed additional steps beyond to enter the ESXi configuration console to change the host name and the IP of the server ESXi 4 existing (4.0 U2) and import in vCenter if physically move one envirment to another server (i.e. a Server Blade environment vsphere 4 test to another box to Prod vSphere 4)?  Or are there additional steps necessary?

    Also, would there be problems within ESXi if just to swap hard drives, if the servers are of the same model (i.e. blades HP dl480 G6)

    It's a fairly simple process to change the name of host or IP address - http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1006710.  If the host is currently bound to vCenter you can remove everything first.  Then you'll just join the host of your vCenter production after your changes in the same way that you would join a new host.  You can check the file on ESXi hosts to make sure that the host name is updated correctly and see if all custom entries has been added.

    You can swap disks, but you may need to correct assignments NIC after and you will need to check things if you use remote storage.  ESXi also uses the MAC address of the vmnic0 for the MAC from the management port so you'll want to update that to avoid the possibility of duplicate MAC address should end up with the two hosts on the same subnet.

  • 12 c change of target host name / IP without relocation agent

    Is there a way to change the configuration?

    Details: Target host has been added manually, agent has been deployed successfully, the host name is an IP address, dns does not work here.
    Now, the IP address has changed, I can not add a new host by using the new address, because em indicates the base directory of the agent is not empty...
    I just want to add a new host without removing the previous installation of the agent.
    Or even easier, change the configuration of the host (i.e., the name displayed in EM and host IP address).

    I'm a little confused, it seems to be is not possible, or I can't see it after searching for some time through the different menus and documentation.

    Hint, please?

    We tested the steps for re-point an existing to a new SGO without requiring re - agent push a binary agent. The same steps should work for what you are trying to achieve, although note that you need to remove the original objectives, both history of the target will be lost. The only piece that avoids this is re - push a binary agent. The steps are:

    1 stop the agent 12 c running with the command below:

    AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME/bin/emctl stop agent $

    2 remove the instance of the home agent:

    rm - rf $AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME

    3. manually delete the targets controlled by the agent in the EM console.

    4 create a new instance pointing to the new OMS:

    $AGENT_BASE_DIR/core/12.1.0.1.0/sysman/install/agentDeploy.sh
    AGENT_BASE_DIR = OMS_HOST =
    EM_UPLOAD_PORT =
    @ AGENT_REGISTRATION_PASSWORD =
    AGENT_INSTANCE_HOME =
    -configOnly

    We will get these steps added to the official documentation. Let us know if you're having trouble.

    Thank you, Mark.

  • LaserJet M1536dnf: Impossible to change the host name on HP LJ M1536dnf

    Hi everyone;

    I'm changing the host name on our printer that is currently Imprimante1 that's not what I'm looking for (I have no idea how it was change or not at all).

    I tried to access the printer via IP in a browser (tried Chrome, IE and Edge) still occur. I see the host name to the title of the network, however, I am not able to change it.

    I also thought I might be able to install the software and use the Toolbox, except that during the installation, the Toolbox links are created in the start menu, but it is never installed (confirmed uninstall reinstall twice)

    So yes, here it is...

    Anyone have any ideas on the issue?

    See you soon,.

    Do not know your printer exactly, but on most of these when you go to the web page, you must go to networking and you will need to go in which change you the method of how it gets ip address or an ip.  On this screen will be the ability to set the IP in a manual address and the area that contains the host name you should be able to click on it and change the name.
