  I know that this issue has already a thread, but the solution is intended for users running Windows 7 that the solution would not work with Win 8.1. When I right click any which audio clip of any type of file, the option 'Edit in Audition' is grayed out on both of my machines running Win 8.1. I don't remember this problem before 2014 CC. Ideas or better yet, solutions?

  There will be a Session Untitled .sesx file in your documents folder

  The path: (C:\Users\Username\Documents\Adobe\Audition\6.0\Untitled Session 1)

  Please, do a right-click on the file and click the Open with option

  It will open windows to select the default program.

  Please chose hearing in there.

  Then try using the option change in hearing again in first pro.

  This is not possible, Dynamic Link is a technology that runs on the same version software.

  So you must make sure that if you are using Premiere Pro CC 2015 dynamic link with hearing, hearing should also be updated to 2015 for CC.

  You can not.  Premiere Pro is a non-destructive Editor, which means it is play your media files and all changes must be exported outside as a new media file.

  Unfortunately, hearing does not work like that.  It's a destructive Editor, which means that any changes made to your audio files will permanently change the original.  Because of this design (flaw), PP will create copies of your audio files to Audition to work on.

  I make some changes using hearing. All audio is fine with most recent importation being the exception. Audio only plays on the right side of the helmet. I'm set balance levels, but its does not make a difference

  You do not give us much information, but the most likely cause is that you have imported a mono file into a stereo track.

  If this is the case, there are different ways to convert Mono... would be one of the easier to double-click on the track/clamp to take in waveform and then use the Type of sample to change/convert and Mono simply select in the menu drop-down appropriate.  Or you can copy the side of the track you want and paste it into a new mono track.

  Hi all

  When I go in Edition > change in hearing > sequence and then edit my audio within hearing, the changes are not reflected in Premiere Pro (i.e. Audio clips do not reference the published '... extracted.wav ' files.)  However when I edit > edit in Audition > Clip and edit each clip individually the extracted.wav files get referenced in the first.  Im sure I'm doing something wrong, but can someone help?

  Just a word here.  The new dynamic link with hearing function applies only to the video, not audio.  Which means that if you want to see the video portion of your sequence in hearing (for synchronization or other), you no longer have to video.  Hearing can read the PP sequence directly, without rendering.

  Audio work is always done via record new audio files and destructive editing.  Because of this, to get your work to THE PP, you need to go to multitrack > export to Adobe Premiere Pro...

• Hearing with first CS5 problems

  Someone had problems with hearing 5.5 does not not with first CS5. I have both programs (but not a part of the Suite). Then, hearing CS5 is installed and therefore first CS5. After splitting a sound channel, I want to take the change with hearing from the drop down, but edit it with hearing is cut; It is interesting however modify it with Soundbooth is highlighted and it works. But I would like to work with the hearing. Does anyone have these problems?

  This built-in feature only works with the first CS5.5, I think.  There may be some hacks registry or something to run around with first CS5.0, but I have the feeling that the only way to fly with success of stuff back as expected is to get the upgrade.

  Now, if that is indeed what you have and this is the case, then it is a different problem altogether.

  Is it not possible to record and transfer it using skydrive or another file sharing service? It is probably a notification of the motherboard or it could be a virus infection.

• Edit in Adobe Audition - not replaced

  Hello!

  I have a stand up interview, whose sound is recorded with the video from a dslr t5 built in mic on the camera. The audio should be cleaned up a bit.

  I recently discovered on the 'Edit in Adobe Audition' command (Edit > Adit in Adobe Audition > Clip) when I select the video file in the project Panel. It extracts the audio for me to play in Adobe Audition. I can see the first one to put the audio clip, but doesn't replace the original sound of the clip of film T5 with my changes in hearing. So everything that I have made in the hearing, the T5 is still with its original source.

  Is this a bug or am I missing something?

  Hearing is always a destructive Editor, which means that it changes constantly from the original.  Premiere Pro (like any good editing software) is a not- destructive of the editor, which means that it only reads the original media, and if you want to save your changes, you must export, thus creating a new file.

  So luckily no... There is no way for PP to replace the original sound without creating a new file.

  To get what you want here (what we all need here), hearing must also be a non-destructive Editor, is to work with metadata and asking the user to export a new file to save the changes.  The ideal scene would be to send the clip or sequence of PP at the hearing, without making new audio files.  Hearing would read the original media, like the PP and save all it's labor in the form of metadata, which can PP then read and addresses when moving back for further work.  Only for export would be audio changes in hearing be 'cooked' in a new file.  (Or when creating Audio Previews, audio effects that cannot be processed in real time).

  It's really the only way that hearing can be truly integrated as part of the suite.  Without this workflow metadata, we will not overcome the current limitations of a destructive editor in what should be a workflow purely not destructive from end to end.

  So please, tell Adobe you want Audition to become a non-destructive Editor, forcing the user to export (either from hearing directly or PP later) for changes 'stick '.

  You could try the 'speech Volume Leveler"effects/Amplitude and Compression effect. It will not delete your voice but she even the rest of the voice levels out a bit.

  Unfortunately, not even the Cedar, which represent some of the best and most expensive Noise Reduction plugins, have produced a "Reduction of the Inebriated cameraman" effects plugin!

  Currently I have change in hearing CC (latest version) and use Cubase for the compression of time (called temporal, is far superior).  My workflow is returned, edit, save in Audition, import a file audio launch Cubase 5 - apply temporal, save the export, re - import in hearing.  I do this several times a day.  I searched for a plugin version of the function of the time stretching of Cubase for years, nothing helped.  I wonder if it is not speed up my work flow in this area.  A "program" or "effect" of another software program can be used as a plug-in?  OR is it anther way?

  Make sure that the operating system can open these files with hearing.  You set this with file Associations.  You can just Google how to for your specific operating system.

In the past, whenever I've reinstalled hearing or used a trial of hearing, I could install my presets to Audiotion 2.0 personal effects by simple copy and paste my folder for user presets saved in the folder in the new program. However, it's been a while since I did it and I can't remember where the file predefined user. I looked in every case I can imagine and you don't see anything but records of the VST for effects searches I did. Also, I have the settings to show hidden files. I think I can lose my mind, but maybe someone can tell me where is this folder for the user. So I have a lot of pre-configuration of significant effects and it would be impossible to redo them. Thank you. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  It is not a separate to the presets folder. They are all stored inside effects_settings.xml.
