Check with Dell to see if there is a disc of diagnosis of material that you can download or order for your computer to test and see why it is not booting. Also check the LEDs on the front that can display a code error, or for a series of beeps which may indicate an error code.

It was working fine and accidentally my phone fell on the keyboard and the computer froze. There was a part of the image of what was on the screen before that happened and blue and red lines/markings or whatever it is. I unplugged and took out the battery. SCREEN BLUE WITH THE HP DIALOG BOX
I recently connected my LCD TV as my monitor on my p6110y with vista home premium. I've made a few changes of small appearance (color intensity, size of the icons)... He says that these changes take effect after the next reboot, you want to restart now... I clicked Yes... It restarts and froze @ office... After about 20 minutes, I had no choice but to power down. Now I try to run it it shows a small banner at the bottom "WINDOWS IS LOADING FILES..." Ive never seen this one before... Then it tries to load windows vista and goes to a blue screen with a small white box @ the top left corner. He said dialogue in the upper frame of the box and hp below in the box and that's what I can go. Ive tried Ctrl, alt, DELETE... Ive run diagnogstic hardware... All items being passed... Ive followed the steps on the web site (Advanced, Boot Options to fix your computer)... Screen is blank for a second rite and then back to the blue screen with the dialog... If anyone knows whats up... Help, please... Disgusted with Cali...

Start the computer in safe mode (press F8 continuously immediately after power and don't worry beeps when you press the button) and let it boot without a network. Once there right click on the desktop and then click Properties. Click settings and the value of the monitor mode (640 X 480) VGA or SVGA (800 X 600). Accept the changes and restart the computer. You should have a mediocre screen, but you should see it now. Download and install the appropriate drivers for your video card in the laptop to the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop. Install the drivers and then you should be able to set the display of the laptop to the correct native resolution for your computer monitor (must be in the documentation of the laptop). -

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.
This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.
If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:
- The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
- The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
- The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

My dell optiplex 740 will not start. The screen is black, once it displays the Dell logo. It does not say that the computer is in mode 'sleep'.
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- When was the last time it was working fine?
- You receive an error message?
Method 1
See the articles below and check if it helps.
Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

After the Windows Logo appears or after you log in to Windows, a Windows XP computer cannot display the wallpaper, a black screen or a blue screen

I suggest that you start the computer in the last good known Configuration mode and safe mode, post back with the result.

Method 3
If the computer can boot in any mode, then I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it helps.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. TO
interpret, you must identify which exception has been generated.Common exception codes are:
- 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.
For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in theinc directory
the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Make sure you have enough disk space.
- If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the
- Reference of the manufacturer for driver updates.
- Try changing video cards.
- Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
- Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2
(the address of the exception) must identify the driver or function that caused the problem. If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system
has been launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly,
Make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.
If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:
- Hardware incompatibility. Make sure all new hardware that is installed is listed in the
- List of Microsoft Windows Marketplace tested products.
- Service driver or defective peripheral system. A service driver or defective peripheral system can be
- responsible for this error. Hardware problems, such as the incompatibilities of the BIOS, memory, conflicts
- and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable
or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during startup
sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe
Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the system startup procedure
in Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third remote
control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the boot of the computer service
by using the Recovery Console, and then by removing the offending system service file.Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the bug check 0x7E.You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You should also
Run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system.
For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer. The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or
Once the installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and system
BIOS incompatibilities. For problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with the absence of disc
space, reduce the number of files on the disk drive hard target. Find and delete any temporary
the files that you do not have to have files hidden Internet, backup application and.chkfiles files that

The Dell printer cannot communicate with the Dell computer.
It seems that suddenly my Dell AIO 942 printer cannot communicate with my Dell Studio 17computer. These devices have been the transparent connection until two days ago. I've set up a restore point, I installed the drivers, unplugged and re plugged 110 s and USBs, used different ports and I still have the same, printer cannot communicate with the State of the computer. Copy and scan functions are good, Windows Vista operating systems. How can I find these devices to their previous state of communication?
