After trying the 30 day free McAfee antivirus which comes with the new Dell place 11 pro, is it possible to change and buy a different antivirus?

There are several programs available FREE antivirus. Other members of the forum can give you more information about them. I use Avira, which has had excellent studies, but is gradually falling into disgrace with me... keeps wanting me to upgrade to the paid version and is not a decent support forum or a direct way to communicate with them. Do you really mean "logout" or do you mean that you turn off your computer?

If this happens when you turn off your computer, this certainly means that the CMOS or RTC battery is dead and needs to be replaced (if you have a laptop, it is NOT the main battery).

Replacing the RTC battery is usually - but not always - easy and inexpensive. For detailed instructions, identify the brand and exact model of your computer.

22 FF doesn't remember history/active connections after reboot/logg off the PC

Hi, I have this problem that started lately. Rarely, I restart my PC, as it always is in any case. Now, every time I restart my PC or Log off, and then log in again, FF forget the active connections and history and I connect on all my sites again. The problem is only concerts on FF and not any other browser since I have an another three (ie, google chrome and netscape) + FF, but I use FF mostly and rarely others.

I checked all the software that I installed and no product cleaning here as ccleaner and anti-virus settings are checked. I also completely uninstalled FF and installed the latest version and tried to connect to one of the websites before you install any addon.

seems OK, it was a bit of the virus or malware that keep the pc on its State (unable to display hidden folders and files, the gel firefox so not history or the active connection saved) I changed my antivirus and used combofix/ccleaner for all retrieve and ready again.

I can't post comments on sites like blogspot etc.

SP M10: Extensions of the TOSHIBA mobile - watch does not work

Recently, I changed my antivirus software, since my laptop does not go on standby mode. When I try to help nothing happens and I get this message in the syslog - my event log: «a request to suspend power was refused by TMESBS32.» EXE ". If I uninstall mobile extensions of the sleep function works, but I need the mobile extensions, because I use it with my (III advanced port replicator) docking station. If I uninstall antivirus (ah yes...) I went form Norton antivirus 2004 to F-Secure client security suite - latest version) extensions and then mobile work. If I uninstall the mobile extensions and let Eve running F-Secure also works, so I think that there is an incompatibility between the mobile extensions and F-Secure.
I have TOSHIBA SP M10, windows XP SP2, the latest drivers of toshiba europe technical support site.
This thing is driving me crazy. Does anyone know what I can do? I could uninstall the mobile extensions, but I grew up in it, so I'm not too keen on such a solution.

It is possible that your software antivirus are problems. Many applications are designed to work with desktop computers and sometimes make problem with laptops.

Sorry, but I put t any solution there. The problem is that all the tools that you can find on your device are tested, but there is no way to test it with all the software that you can find on the market. If you can work without mobile extensions you must live with it.

Satellite A100-811 - sound no longer work after reinstallation of the system

I recently bought this type of laptop. After about 2 installations of windows from the recovery cd unit... I keep having the same problem:
I encounter problems or difficulties with some audio applications... especially mp3 running for example in winamp (all versions of winamp). I also tried to reinstall the audio driver to install a newer version... the same problem: I have heard a few small glitches while listening to the song... I should also mention that all this happened independently of the CPU usage... my last solution in my head is to change my antivirus. I read on an audio glitch similar problem on a Satellite P100.
The BIOS update and an update driver sound has solved these problems

A question: is the laptop uses a Realteck sound card chip?

If Yes, visit the Web to Realtek website and install the latest driver from this site. Eventually, it helps.

HP Envy 14-J009tx: updating the Nvidia driver is blocked?

So, I bought this laptop last month, and I tried updating the Nvidia graphics driver for the last of the 347.52 version supplied with it. I opened the GeForce experience app to update, it tells me that it is impossible to connect to Nvidia. Not still even though I changed my home network to the endearing phone, it won't let me update, saying that it cannot connect to Nvidia and I should try again later. I also checked the firewall and AVG (I changed the antivirus immediately after purchase) and allows the application to access the internet.

So my question is: is it done deliberately by HP or there may be something wrong with the whole of my ISP? And besides, I am interested in upgrading to Windows 10, will there be any problem with all the app that requires Nvidia? I really need the graphics I want to do a lot of CAD in the future.

I read your post on Nvidia driver update and I wanted to help.

It's generally a BAD idea to update the video drivers laptop NVIDIA (or AMD) because the OEM manufacturers often use specialized versions of video chipsets for which these pilots are not suitable. The best approach is to update only from the OEM drivers.

This link is to HP for your PC product page: http://support.hp.com/sg-en/product/HP-ENVY-14-Notebook-PC-series/7771343/model/8524508/drivers

If you press the check now button, he will see if there is new video HP drivers for your PC, download and install them. If there is no newer drivers, I would leave it alone.

LabVIEW Measurement & Automation Explorer very slow

Here is my setup of the system and the version of LAbView:
- [LabView professional Development System - Version 11.0 - 32-bit]
- OPERATING SYSTEM - windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 [MS]
- CPU - [Intel Core i7-2600 processor 3.40 GHz]
- MEMORY - [16.0 GB RAM]
- GPU - [NVIDIA GeForce GT 530]
- OR PXI-7951R & NOR 5761
Everything works absolutely fine until yesterday. All of a sudden, everything about LabView is very slow. Send commands to run the stepper motor and even check on Measurement & Automation Explorer. There have been major changes in the updates or removing software from National Instruments. Everything is intact. My antivirus is AVG (which is a recent change after I removed mcaffee, but I don't think that's maybe the reason).

Add or change your antivirus/firewall can have a major effect on LabVIEW and related products, because they can potentially block your network connections. MAX scans your network for remote devices.

I also had a problem a while back where my Firewall blocked access to shared variables. The following instructions helped me: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvhowto/createditlogosxt/ (I don't think this affects the MAX, but I mention this in case you encounter a similar problem)

Updates installed, keep repeating to be updated again, count locks when idle.

Now I find that 2 m/soft updates keep repeat to be installed, I went to installed updates, they were loaded on two occasions, I've hidden updates.

How can I correctly solve the problem?

Also when the pc is idle, it crashes with my name, I have to click o to return to the widows.

I'm sorry to say none of the above suggestions worked, howewver I uninstalled my new internet security software, installed the free AVG software is back to normal.

I will seek advice from the manufacturer of software with this question.

"EYV" seems to be part of a known Trojan virus. Messages like the one you usually arise when your antivirus application or any other anti-malware partially removed the malware, but left in place the room calling the main malware.

You may be able to find that trying to launch eyv.exe when connecting using Autoruns . There is a lot of information presented in Autoruns; focus on the 'Connection' tab

The mouse starts to move around and stops working

I have a desktop HP with Windows Vista Home Basic. Since last or if the mouse started to give problems.

Suddenly the mouse starts to move everything on the screen and is unresponsive. It opens some programs and suddenly stops. Sometimes the mouse just stops working, but keyboard shortcuts work. I have formatted the computer to its original factory State, changed the antivirus and even checked the mouse but the problem persists. What should I do?

It looks like a hardware failure, but could be the communication or mouse port.

You can test it with another mouse? Ideally, one with a different connection type, i.e. If your current mouse is USB, test with PS/2 or vice versa. Otherwise, test with a mouse of the same type. If it is USB, try a different USB jack.

If it is wireless, check the batteries and make sure the transceiver is as 'visible' as possible to the mouse.

I had installed on this pc WIndows Vista and after 1 year of error I coudnt repair it more.

Unfortunately, I received the error after 2 minutes of play Dark Orbit, the browser game. I noticed usually takes place when I play games the internet Explorer + or sometimes games + winamp.

Blue screen with message 0X0000008e...:)

Almost all the time my Virus Scanner (G Data Internetsecurity of 2010) DOE a regular analysis the computer falls down after about 20%. The deadly blue screen comes with the technical info:

Carefully check for malware before you change your antivirus and use the withdrawal of the constructor
tools and instructions to be sure leftovers are not left which can cause strange problems.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
Operation of the network.

Prevx - Home - free

Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
disabled - click OK

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie

never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.
