Change of password for the ASA group

All,

We have a situation where we have a group for VPNs that use users. We would like to change this password programmatically. We think of this script or application to change the password in the file recovery pcf. Whoever did this in the past, or are at - it an easier way to do it? We have at least 1000 users who will need to be changed. Not all of these users look at email, in order to give them the password isn't really an option unfortunately.

Thank you!

John

Hi John,.

Are you referring to the evolution of the shared key before that VPN clients use to connect?

If so, here's the relevant section of the Administrative Guide that should help you accomplish this:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/vpn_client/cisco_vpn_client/vpn_client46/Administration/Guide/vcAch3.html#wp1178809

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you

Loren

    Hi all

I am aware of the link and procedure on how to change the password of the service account of the unit 3.1 X here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_tech_note09186a0080093f54.shtml#topic2

My question is this. I have 5 unity servers that use this service account in any area, which includes Europe and the United States. If I change the password in AD all services will continue to work with the old password as long as they have not restarted with the old password? I know I need to change the password for each service that uses the account and then restart the unit, but since AD taking so long to reply, I was hoping to change the password of the account one day and then the next day or even longer when I have planned for my failure, I can then change the password for the services on each server and then restart the unit and make sure that replication is complete and the services start again with the new password.

I think as long as I do not have to restart services can I change the password of the service account in AD a day or two before I schedule my outage can I change the password for all services, and then restart the unit. I know that I can force replication, but it would be nice to be able to change it in advance as long as it is not flexible, whatever it is. Even force the replication takes a lot of time in our environment and I want to be sure, can I change well in advance without having a negative impact.

    Thanks for your time!

    Keith

If you change a password for a domain account, it should respond immediately through the Organization as AD treats this with the highest coastal.

  • What are the consequences of the change of password for the admin user in golden gate?

    Hello

I just picked up during surgery and allows us to replicate door data of gold. Unfortunately, the password for the user that has been created in the database for the Golden Gate has been lost.

At the present time, processes are added and I was trying to connect but it fails with name of user and password invalid.

I want to change it. Do I need to apply this new password anywhere after changing?

    Thank you

    Hello

Not a lot of consequences, if you have changed the password where you had used.

    1. you must change the password of user goldengate in parameter files where ever you had mentioned, as the extract file etc..,.

    2. If you used the password encrypted, you must re-create the encryption password.

    3. If you used a user Alias id, then you must change this too.

    Kind regards

  • How can I change a password for the local account of a pc that can not be connected remotely?

    Hi all

I am currently based in London. I have a problem with the laptop of a staff based in Africa. We built the laptop and it shipped to them. As part of the construction, we put on our account standard administrator and then made a local account that they are not connected to our area.

The user in this Africa Office has changed the local password of its account and now don't remember making it so the unable to connect to PC. I don't want to tell him our administrator password, because it is the same for all our PC in the world. I have studied a lot of things to try to connect to the computer, but it is now possible.

    I tried:

1 navigation to the machine from another pc on the network using explroer and I see the C drive.

    2. I tried to run this command, but I get just error 1219: net use \\pcname\ipc$ / user: pcname\administrator *.

3 RDP will not work, it will not just connect.

    4. the PC that I use is 8 Windows Home Edition and none of the business I've noticed is a problem of computer management doesn't have users and groups it seems. The remote pc is Windows 7 Enterprise.

So for now I just a laptop that is stuck on the login screen.

    I guess I'm doomed then?

No, you are not condemned. I gave you a recipe to solve your problem. Give the person a password for admin for a few minutes does not compromise the integrity of the machine, as long as you then reset the password in a few minutes.

If this person can burn a CD repair system on another machine of Windows 7 then it can use to start the machine in Windows Repair Mode. From there it can use system restore to set up Windows to a point before he changed the password. You need to exercise on your own machine to guide him through the process.

    Hello

Please give iansantos a break here... Somewhere, I think that they don't speak ROMANIAN or know that little question - this is new to me too... but thank you for sharing this to others volunteers and participants in this community to find.

Instead, what he interpreted (and, indeed I agree) of your original message was that you had to edit your stored inside the BIS, email existing credentials (once you have changed the to your mail server). And, there are several ways to do this, with the method you registered as being just one of them... so there thought your goal as being to get BIS re-configured with your new email credentials and you provided another method to do this.

Now, with your 2nd post, are better understood what was your original desire, we now know that our interpretation of your original goal was wrong. But, once again, give iansantos a break... like you, he's human.

    Good luck!

  • Change of password for the workspace schema

    Hello

I assigned a schema to one of my apex workspaces.
Now, I want to change the password of the user associated database (of the respective schema).
I was wondering if this password change will have no (negative) effect (for example objects no longer accessible or similar)
on the workspace and applications within this workspace or similar?

    Thanks in advance
    Johnny

    Hello Johnny,.

As long as you do not use authentication database (and same user to connect) and another user to access APEX himself (as ANONYMOUS or APEX_PUBLIC_USER), you can change the password to what you want without any damage.

  • BlackBerry classic help! How to reset the password for the device

I tried to change my password for the device, and then I pressed cancel. I changed head to change my password.   My phone has allowed me to use my original password. The next morning, I typed my password and the phone kept saying incorrect password.  How I change my password for the device?

When you get to 5 or 6 incorrect attempts the device prompts you for blackberry. This is a safety feature to avoid wiping the device accidentally, and also so that you can see if you enter characters, you think that you enter.

See if the device is to invite you to enter blackberry. If so, do it and then you should power try again the password.

And if you left the password change and that he has not really changed the password, then your password is always the same as before, no different. Be careful and make sure that you enter the characters that you intend to enter.

  • not able to locate the link HERE, in this FORUM mozilla firefox, change my password HERE. How can I change my password for mozilla help forum (only one)?

I want to be part of this mozilla firefox support community forum. That's what I call it: a help forum. but it's sorta a little ironic, don't you think (?) that I'm not able to change my password, here, on this forum.

do you know how I can change my password for THIS website in mozilla firefox help? There is no link that takes me to this particular thing. It is not available in all the links that are related to my profile. If I can not log on in the future, what good is to join?

Bellissimo! I am so grateful. It worked! I might suggest that a link to change your password is immediately visible at the top of page for new members of this forum.

I am also very grateful with the rigor that you put into your response, because it gives me the way to mark this issue as being resolved, too. Be healthy and happy!

Just answer (Email removed by mod)

You don't have to log in to Firefox. Firefox is just a browser, such as Internet Explorer. Everything you have to do is double-click it and open it. It's like Internet Explorer. If you have some sort of password extension protecting your Firefox, it's different and you need to contact the developer of the extension.

  • Change my Apple ID and now all the other devices asking me the password for the old ID.

Using my MacBook Pro El Capitan 10.11.3 running, I changed my code from Apple.  We have two iPhones and two iPads.  All are running 9.2.1.  As I made the change to the ID, other devices constantly ask me to enter the password for the old ID.  Of course, it no longer works, but I can't find a way to stop messages.  When I change to the new ID, devices of ask a password.  The password does not work and I am asked to create a new password.  If I do that, I can connect is no longer in my ID on the MacBook pro.  At this time, I again wonder to change my password, and the circle continues.  How can I get all the devices and the cloud to recognize the new ID and password?  This gets pretty annoying, and data is not shared between all the devices for applications like the calendar.

Try to change the ID to your old one, sign out iCloud on computers/devices, then replace it with a new and connect.

  • Problems of the change of password for my iMac

I'm finishing the change of password for my iMac in early 2014 running on the latest version of El Capitan.

When the opening up of the procedure is finished, I get a message in the upper right of the home screen of the iMac. The message says that I need to enter my new password to complete the amendment of the code of procedure. I can either click on "enter new password" or "delete" message. I tried to click on the two, but nothing happens except the message disappears.

It's all quite strange that I have to use the new password to open the iMac for use and it recognizes the new password, if I try to change the password once more.

Can someone tell what I am doing wrong or where I need to enter the password to complete the password change procedure. Thank you!

This problem has not yet someone can help please?
