  You say you have lost the tab "tool"?

  If so, just right click on one of the other tabs and select "basic" in the context menu that appears.

  Have you tried to start Firefox in Mode safe? Key 'shift' startup of Firefox. It could be related to an extension. Then you should read the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems.

I can't find a lot of google search results and they seem to say enter REGEDIT and change the "msahci" start to 0 and even the 'pciide', or 'iaStorV' start parameters to 0. But this does not work for me. The loading Windows with the loading bar screen Green just continues to go wrong and never Windows startup. I have Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.

  I saw someone in this forum with a similar problem but they have upgraded to Win7 on a new installation to fix the problem, they spend on AHCI RAID. I contacted Intel technical support and they said to try HP or the manufacturer of the motherboard. I contacted Intel because I installed a 520 Intel Solid State Drive series and wanted to know if they had a driver to get the benefit of the AHCI instead of the IDE.   I suggested that you create disks because you said that the computer came with any one and you could not re - install Windows as suggested a possible solution. With these records, you can the recovery of the system back to a factory State. Since you want to install a SSD or change a BIOS setting, these are the changes which can damage the system and require the use of recovery disks.

  If you want a Windows Vista 'clean' no HP Setup, please see Paul's response in this thread of the forum called "System Restore not working not not for HP Media Center Desktop PC. According to his instructions is expected to create a bootable Windows Vista installation disc. My only amendment to this method, is not to use the product key Microsoft Windows Vista on the COA on the side of your computer. Instead, I would like to "Save" the product key from factory OEM HP and HP OEM certificate using ' the Activation, backup and restore ' then 'restore' the certificate and the key to the new clean install of Vista. This will result in an installation clean factory activated that does not require Microsoft to activate. Be aware that the software HP added value will no longer be on your computer. If you want to use this software, you MUST create your personal HP recovery disks and copy the "SWSETUP" folder on your current installation of factory to an external support.

  Re-install Windows Vista, as shown above with the SATA BIOS settings set on AHCI you like will work 100% of the time. It should also install to SSDs, where HP recovery discs are known to fail.

I tried your suggestions but they do not solve the problem.  You did, however, lead me to looking at my system settings instead of the settings for the media players - behavior was going on with WMP 11, Media Player Classic and VLC.  I found that, I hope, will prove to be the solution: in Device Manager > Sound, video & Game Controllers > media Remotes > properties I found my video controller (mciavi32.dll) opened its properties > settings > watch the video of 'window' or 'full screen '.  I selected "full screen" and for extra measure of value WMP 11 always open it in full screen. I have not done a test yet further with these three players, but I hope that these parameters will cure the problem. Oh yes, I went to SiS, I already had the latest display driver, but I have downloaded/installed a new copy anyway, just to be certain that my old one was not corrupted in a non-obvious way.

  I suggest you to change the size of the icons and check if the problem persists. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  a. right click on the desktop, click view , and turn off the Auto Arrange.

  b. after above step. Right click on the desktop, click view choose on the icon size you want and check if the problem persists.

  You must get a kit (remote, transmitter/receiver IR, IR blaster) remote, plug in everything and restart the installation of the TV (so that MC knows to control a set - top box now.)
  For hardware, I recommend a kit remote control Hauppauge, as it is stable, it is a design of "reference" (read: really meets the design specifications and pilot) and JustWorks.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you have recently changed the cartridges on your HP Photosmart Premium, you have not replaced a smaller, and now, you are not able to copy.  One of the black cartridges is regular black and the other is a photo in the black, which is the difference between the two. Although you can't print photos, it gets ink in the cartridges.

  Please replace the used cartridge and you should be up and running again. I hope this helps!
