Change of schedule of InstallShield Update Manager to check updates

As I understand it, InstallShield Update Manager checks for software updates in the same way that the MS Updates program works. I'm not really sure what he's looking for.

I have two questions:

1. what programs on my computer check InstallShield Update Manager?

2. my InstallShield Update Manager checks the updates on Thursday evening. It is set to check for updates every week. How can I change the time of day, check updates? The update settings window does not all options for this. It only allows options to check monthly, weekly or daily.
I use public WiFi for my Internet connection on my laptop during the day. I am not connected to the Internet in the evening. I'm afraid that something is not being updated on my computer. My laptop seems to work very well. I do regular updates from Ms.

InstallShield is not a Microsoft product. I suggest that you contact the OEM PC assistance site.

Another option would be to uninstall InstallShield.

  • I can't change some settings in Windows Update

My Windows 7 PC is part of a workgroup, not domain, but still I can't change some settings for Windows Update. I have the menu drop-down gray and set to download updates but let me choose whether to install them. I checked gpedit.msc > user configuration > administrative templates > windows components > windows update. All 3 setting there are not configured and irrelevant. How can I activate this setting?

Please note that I have no problem receiving updates, but I just want to be able to change the settings, and also I don't have answers about the probability of my system compromised by any means.

  • Change of Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager 4.7

I had been using Desktop Manager 4.7 (from disk provided with my new storm back when they first came out). Had the evil, which included the inability to back up files using DM 4.7.  So, I called Blackberry, which had me uninstall my Desktop Manager 4.7 now and then download and install Desktop Manager 4.7 from the Blackberry site. First of all, let me say at the outset that this problem corrected my backup and other problems.  However, right now, I noticed a change in the operation of Desktop Manager 4.7. I also noticed that the date of the file was slightly more recent (Nov.) 2008 than the one I had the disc (October 2008). Now, Desktop Manager 4.7 cards two drive letters. One is for the blackberry storm itself and the other for the SIM card inside. Because he got letters from driver on my PC (Windows XP), a work which has already been used for the network (bad dog!), it wasn't a big thing to make it "automatically". I've never seen my previous 4.7 DM activate the front drive mappings, much less than two. As I had to uninstall and reinstall on my computer (Windows 64 - bit Vista), the same questions had been held there as well, I found that it mapped as drive two letters on my PC at home.  I searched forums for discussion on this, but had not encountered anything whatsoever.  If anyone can help me find a way to keep the two screens of the Explorer Windows mapped drive that automobile opened in Windows XP now, let me know.  Nothing seems to prevent opening.  I had the atoplay to stop opening, but I can't seem to stop the two screens of Windows Explorer for two letters mapped Auto-opening whenever I connect the USB to my Storm to my work PC. I would rarely have need to use these two screens and prefer to keep my office as they pop up on other screens. Any thoughts? In addition, do others noted this change?

    Hello

Do not be old... I'll show my old cassette 8 track!

If you do not have the two front discs, the Blackberry was not showing right.

On other devices the device memory is not present. The Storm device memory

should appear as a drive of content such as an Ipod. The storm has been designed this way

If some of the DRM restrictions could be resolved.

DM 4.7 installation would not or should not change the Windows operating system for

drive letters. Again, this is a setting in Windows. If you right click on both of the

thoughtful storm drives and select AutoPlay, you will be able to select

"don't take any option" instead of opening a window for each drive.

    Try it!

    Thank you

  • A statement UPDATE changes the line if the update changes the column even value?

    HI -.

I have a main classification and the corresponding audit table. I have a trigger. I created using the suggestion:http://www.runningoracle.com/product_info.php?products_id=211

Now the problem that I am facing is that: if I run the same query (same value) update on the main table for n times (with the same data)... my audit table is updated with a new record every time. He is not able to determine that the value is the same.

My goal is to load the audit table data if the value in a cell in the main table is really have changed.

A statement UPDATE changes the line if the update changes the column even value?

    Best regards

I have a main Table and the corresponding Audit Table. I have a trigger. I created using the suggestion:http://www.runningoracle.com/product_info.php?products_id=211

    Why?

You try to resolve what made you what are the PROBLEM that select as the solution?

Now the problem that I am facing is that: if I run the same query (same value) update on the main table for n times (with the same data)... my audit table is updated with a new record every time.

Yes - it is EXACTLY what you say that you wanted to do and EXACTLY what the code does in this article.

He is not able to determine that the value is the same.

I think you mean that the code does NOT check if the value is the same. You can certainly change the code to do this check. But I have a question to start with your need for such a solution.

My goal is to load the audit table data if the value in a cell in the main table is really have changed.

OK - then modify the code to check EACH COLUMN and compare its NEW value to the OLD value and insert only the table of audit if SOME (or columns you care specifically) have changed.

A statement UPDATE changes the line if the update changes the column even value?

It depends on what you mean by 'change the line '. Of course to update a column with the SAME value does not change the resulting data value.

But the physical structure of the line, the location of the pieces of line and information in the header block (YVERT, etc.) will change. And, as others have said Oracle doesn't know and doesn't care, so if the new value of a column is the same as the old value will create redo, undo and the rest.

Start over and tell us what PROBLEM you're trying to solve. Then we can help you find the best way to solve it.

  • Changes to paging in the update

I'm running into a problem with the change of paging when I update my book.  I put the Pagination on the page of the book and the problem of "number of pages of the don't change."  I'll save the file and the book, near them and re open.  Paging is always 'Don't Change Page Count'.  Once I update the book, Pagination changes in the problem page and the book to "make Page odd number.  What is causing this problem and how can it be solved?

Book settings always take precedence over the settings of files. Set pagination for files in the book and ignore the settings of the file.

Also make sure that the paging parameters are not incompatible with the behavior of the book, that is, if you use two-sided layouts be wary of files ending on odd pages and then then set to start on an odd page. FM will change the behavior of paging to make things "right."

The common cause for limited space retractable is the Table of master files (MFT). It is essentially a system file good behaviour that even Windows own Defrag tool will not move.
