  Hey guys,.

  Simple question (I hope).  I have a few running code FPGA which was released 4 different signals, and I want to be able to direct those signals to an output channel of my choice.

  Someone at - it an example of how to do this?

  I tried to go with a knot of e/s FPGA and the wiring in one control to select an output channel.  However, I am only able to select the output and it will never change during operation.

  Haha, no problem.  Everyone is a beginner at one point.  Strings and radio buttons are not available in LVFPGA, however, you can use a ring/enum, which may even be more useful.

• How do you change the display screens during execution of the program?

  I would like to have a LabVIEW screen with a list of test Vi to run, and then select one to display.

  Side main VI:

  Creata a dropdown list (use ring/enum control) with list of the test screw...

  now, create an event "value change" for control... to capture the current value of the control.

  use of the VI attached as main VI...

  and sub VI

  on close event, get the reference of the main VI and use the property node 'open front'... to return to main VI

  or you can close VI main when you cal a test Vi and re open the main VI when you close any criterion VI...

  Hi Kiran,

  Call the setStyle() method can result in reduced performance. Use it only when absolutely necessary.
  You should try to apply style sheets rather than using the setStyle() method because it is expensive. This method should only be used when you change styles an object during execution.
  You cannot get or set the style properties directly on a component that you can with other properties. Instead, you set the properties of style at run time by using ActionScript getStyle() and setStyle() methods.

• How to change the frequency of sampling DAQmx during execution?

  Hello guys. I'm using LabVIEW in the measures of the frequency response function. My application requires the sampling rate to change according to the frequency of the signal during execution.

  I tried to do it with a "structure of the event" and it works well when I change the rate manually via the front control but it backs do not work when I set up the sampling frequency to vary automatically (just a frequency sweep). Photos below:

  Why not the structure of the event feels the change in the value of "rate"?

  In "automatic mode" to change the sampling rate, the calculated rate is written in the local variable (as illustrated in the code).  Structure of the event does not change value in the local variable as an event.

  In order to make the structure of the event to recognize the change in value of an indicator such as event: write the new value to the property "Value (Sgnl)" corrosponding node to rate indicator (see figure below).  This will make the structure of the event accept the value change in the indicator as event.

  Note: Use architectures such as producers and consumers for such applications, which makes the application readable and expandable.

  I have a requirement which has been quite difficult for me so far.

  I use the first version Jdev 12 c.

  I have a table of AF that is connected to a ViewObject that is used for sending new data.

  When I add lines to this ViewObject, I put a field that I intend to use for filtering so that the number of lines is not displayed at the same time.  This field comes from a selection of LOV.

  I want to be able to change lines are displayed in the table based on what is the current value of selection LOV.  This isn't a problem for me, and it works perfectly using a view criteria and a variable transitional EO I put in place.

  My problem is that when I select a new value in the LOV and change to bind the variable view criteria, I want all changes uncommitted to the lines to be preserved in the View object.  Currently, the lines are not keep their changes, and I need to do this, because after that the user has entered data for a large number of lines, there will be a commit to the database for all new lines added.  Is this possible or should I look for an alternative?

  I also tried to use a table filter in the link of the page layer, but I get an error that I can't debug. It is marked as Houston-34014.  In this method, I try to access my bean in pageFlowScope to filter the table.  This bean variable is updated when the LOV selection changes.  Error messages settings are {0 = oracle.jbo.Key [-220-225], 1 = root}.  I also read that this filter parameter is a static filter and does not dynamically during execution.

  Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading.

  I want to pass the value of the variable at runtime, based on the value passed I want to decide which interface to run then. How can I do this? I got a set variable but I want to asssign the value during execution.

  You have many options to achieve this goal.

  1. keep the run settings in the database, extract the Variables in a time of refreshment and use these variables in your Interfaces to get values of execution.

  2. change the value to the variables on the outside. You can declare a variable in a package as a step of the statement, and then use the variable in your interface in a successive step in your package. Then, create a scenario of your package and creating the scenario, it will prompt you to include the variables that you want to include as a startup parameter. Choose the one (s) concerned. Citing this scenario using Java or an OdiStartScen command or by using Webservices ODI externally, you can provide values of the runtime as a result.

  In my program I had a problem with a constant of enum for a selection of the tab value change during execution.  The enum is as part of the initialization of the program and when I step through the loop and then you see the property node of the climax to the value tab and in the next step of the enum changes its value.  I'm under LV 8.0

  someone help me I tried to put in an event... but no use... maybe iam missing something pls help me...

  I noticed that you have some time a loop around the entire block diagram - I'm not entirely sure why that is.  The way you have your VI wrote that the two inner loops will never come out unless there is an error-'stop' buttons are hidden.  Thus, the outer loop is not do anything for you.

  Once you take it, it is easy to see why you cannot change frequency.  It is defined once, outside of the loops and so never gets checked again.  The best way to resolve this, in your case, is to use registers with shift on the upper loop and check if the value of the frequency has changed since the last iteration.  If so, generate a new waveform and feed DAQmx writing instead.

  See the version annexed to your main VI for what I mean.  (I also replaced the controls to stop with one that is visible and which will stop the two loops without your duty to hit the button abandon.) I'm also an error on the DAQmx read in the loop at the bottom, but I'm sure it will work fine on your equipment.

  Is it possible to change the value of a switch to toggle Boolean during execution?

  I make a program where the user can switch a relay switch.  However, I want the program to replace the user input if a measured value exceeds a predefined threshold.

  The program below did almost what I want.  The major problem is that it if the measured value returns below the threshold, the relay will be awarded if the switch is set to 'true '.

  

  I would be very grateful for any suggestions to solve this problem!

• Graphical evolution of waveform changes during execution

  I'm just started learning Labview graphical programming. It's so interesting that text-based programming.

  The first issue is of course acquire analyze and display. But on the screen how to change the X axis and Y, scale of the axes during execution values.

  Maybe you should b a little more clearly what kind of values you want to change. (range, offset, multiplier, etc..)

  For example, to change the interval-y, yscale user property...... minimum or maximum range. The interval-x is a little more complicated, because you're dealing with a graph, when the x offset the changes automatically the history buffer is updated.

  Of course you must also make sure to disable autoscaling, else it will be for the next update.

  You can also change the formatting of the x axis. at the moment you show zero decimal digits. Also an axis 'style' with a few values more would be better.

  I need run the same reports on test environment and the production environment. How could I change source data during execution, according to the users want to run reports by querying the database test or production without amendment report definition?

  what I would recommend in your case: set up your development/test systems as separate systems parallel to your production system. Clone your production environment for these development systems. Then a developer can login to the development system and run the reports (and modify it without touching the actual production system) and normal users work on the production system and only for validating them new developments, that they connect to the test system.

  It's a standard approach in software development and COMPUTER systems operations.

  How to watch your infrastructure, I have the impression that you have two databases and Server BI (prod and test)? Why not set up a test environment for the BI server, too?

• Disable the extended FIFO FPGA target during execution

  I use a FIFO extended target in my FPGA to constantly calculate the derivative of a measured value (dB/dt). Thus the FIFO stores all values during time dt. This means dt determines the number of items in the FIFO and dB is determined by the actual value less the oldest value in the FIFO. It works well when I initialize with the code in figure InitFIFO.

  But the FIFO of compensation is not possible (see figure clearFIFO). In the while loop if "reset dB" is false, as the new value of B is written on the FIFO, then the oldest value is read from, for the number of items in the FIFO remain constant. To change dt during execution, I need to clear the FIFO and initialize it with a new length (number of items). I tried the next loop, but it does not work. The FIFO does not initilized with the elements. The length is zero and the loop counter for (#deltaB Length2) is 0.

  What I am doing wrong? Is there a better way to erase a FIFO during execution in the FPGA? I'm now stuck for 2 days with this problem and looking forward to any idea or suggestion.

  Thank you for your response. You were correct, that deltab FIFO length was 0 because the defalt value was zero. The problem is that in my host vi on the RT system I put DeltaB FIFO length in a loop of high priority and as you can see when I restart the FPGA, DeltaB FIFO length has a valid value (the code in figure 1 works well with a local variable of DeltaB FIFO length in the FPGA). But the variable to set the variable "reset dB" is under the control of the loop of low priority of the host vi. And there, I had an entry DeltaB FIFO length unwired.

  So, I learned that a control FPGA read/write unwired sends a '0' or resets the variable to its default value in the FPGA. I assumed that nothing is transferred and the last variable is retained if you let a control read/write unwired. Now, I learned of this stupid error!

  NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the primary key)
  TBL_FILE_NAME VARCHAR2 (1000) (this will be the name of the file)
  
  A second table will be called TBL_FILE_META with columns:
  NUMBER of TBL_META_ID (this will be the primary key)
  NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the key to forign to the files table)
  TBL_META_COLUMN VARCHAR2 (30) (this is what would be the name of the column if it existed in TBL_FILE)
  TBL_META_VALUE VARCHAR2 (1000) (this is the value of this record and the column "would be")
  
  If a person can have as many meta data in the file to add columns to the table.
  The problem is how can I allow users to add as much data as they wish with them having to re develop page.
  
  Other things to note is that we would like this be on one page.
  I know how to add we can create inserts several rows using a SQL (editable report).
  However the TBL_META_VALUE in the TBL_FILE_META column will sometimes be a selection list and other times one text box or a numeric field.
  So I don't see now a SQL (editable report) would work for this and I can't create a table of elements on the page running I can?

  Yes, you can do it. Update report / query in a table can be built from the metadata using the SQL query that returns the PL/SQL function . It will be a bit of coding in PL/SQL where you use metadata and metadata of Meta data to restore your SELECTION with the right APEX_ITEMs. He might have a decrease in performance associated with it, but it will not be a serious degradation.

  I'm trying to add series to a chart during execution because the number of series to draw is variable and only determined once the XML of a HTTPService returns...
  
  My chart looks like this:

  If I add:

  then the data plots OK, but try to create the same AS serial does not work (nothing appears):

  Debugging presents the new series added and it seems OK... but it does not appear on the graph. No errors.
  
  I tried mainChart.executeBindings (); and mainChart.validateNow (); with no chance, but I guess as to what is to be the case here, as you can probably!
  
  What Miss me something to force an update of the chart with the new series added?

  It is not displayed because the table is not aware of the change in ownership of the series. I think that to run the following steps (give an or take a few syntax errors):
