Change printer in Acrobat in VBA

I'm putting the printer selected in Excel for the printer selected in Acrobat when executing using VBA and Acrobat objects. I can't change the name of the printer. I tried, but could not use it. Print (adobePrintSettings)... of ideas?

Set gAVDoc = CreateObject ("AcroExch.AVDoc")

gAVDoc.Open sNewFile, 'TW Print Utility - Temp PDF for printing', 'open the temp PDF '.

Define the gApp = CreateObject ("AcroExch.App")

Set gPdDoc = gAVDoc.GetPDDoc ' equal being open subject to Adobe PDF

PRINTER ADOBE CHANGE *.

Set adobeJSO = gPdDoc.GetJSObject ' printer javascript object settings

Set adobePrintSettings = adobeJSO.getPrintParams

printerAdobe = Left (printerUser, InStr (printerUser, "on")-1) ' truncate the network name of the string to the printer for Adobe

adobePrintSettings.Interactive = 1 ' 1 = adobePrintSettings.Constants.interactionLevel.automatic

adobePrintSettings.PrinterName = printerAdobe < NOT SET PRINTER NAME for gAVDoc

gAVDoc.PrintPagesSilent 0, gPdDoc.GetNumPages - 1, 2, 1, 1 ' operators PostScript level 2, the binary data included, page is shrunk

gAVDoc.Close 1' close PDF without saving

gApp.Exit

I'm sure it's as simple as the way I put the. PrinterName field, but he not work when actually prints the gAVDoc!

Thank you very much

Gary

Mmmh,

with "AForm.Fields.ExecuteThisJavaScript", you can directly run AcroJS.

Take a look for example and a discussion more or less equal to:

Re: JSObject "can't stand" getPrintParams or print - VBA/AcroJS

Also, you can simply change the default printer before printing. Something like:

Set oWSN = WScript.CreateObject ("WScript.Network")

oWsn.SetDefaultPrinter "MYPRINTER".

    Hi manojp35249311,

Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, so it's difficult to judge how the application on an incompatible environment will behave.

Please attach a screenshot so that we can diagnose the problem correctly.

  • How to print Adobe Acrobat Reader Windows 8.1 DC and IE 11

I have Windows 8.1, IE 11, Office 365 and a free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. When I right click to print, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC does not appear in the list of printers (said list includes my HP, Microsoft XPS printer and send them to a single Note). I want to 'print', in other words, create and save a PDF document in my file in Word format, as I have done in the old free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader DC several times. Any suggestions?

    Hey markr75297210,

Please post on the Adobe Forums.

Please note that the features of Adobe PDF to create PDFs is available with Adobe Acrobat (paid version) and not Adobe Reader (free version).

You have Acrobat installed on your system?

If so, then it might be necessary to manually install the Adobe PDF printer on your computer.

You can check the link for the same mentioned below:

    Manually install the printer PDF

Let me know how it goes.

  • Change language in Acrobat Pro XI - it does not work

I installed Acrobat XI Pro using Adobe Application Manager (AAM) on Windows 7, English. I'm on a creative cloud subscription, so I have no .exe file to install from.

Acrobat Pro XI defaults to the language of the application in English during the installation of MAO since Windows is an English version. I want Acrobat Pro XI in the Swedish language.

If I go to Acrobat preferences > language and change the language of the application of English "choose at the start of the application" I never get the dialogue box which should provide me with the possibility to change the language when I re - launch Acrobat Pro XI. If I hold down the CTRL SHIFT when launching Acrobat Pro XI I do not get this dialog box either.

I see the same question on three computers, two with Win 7 and the other with 8 Win. Both versions of the OS are English.

So, how can I change the language of the application of English to Swedish?

  • Re: Filled form fields not printing - using Acrobat Pro on Windows 10

I have the same problem, except that there is no system of Mac involved. I've created a registration form to fill live events to a charitable organization for which I work and distributed. I had checked that filled in forms may be saved with their data, but I don't actually print a. Today, I downloaded the form inside and tried to print it. Fixed content of the form prints normally, but the content of the form fields is not printed. I have the print options configured to print 'Document and annotations', as suggested elsewhere. A test, I used Photoshop to open the file. It can be printed (default settings) with the fields filled in displayed as it should show. On my own system I open and print the latest version of Acrobat Professional. I also tried to print from another system, using Acrobat Reader DC - this has also led the white printing. Both systems are running Windows Update 10 anniversary. The original form (empty) can be downloaded from http://ncinvestiture.holysepulchre.net/images/regformnew.pdf. I can send you my completed form if you want to give me the necessary details.

    • Open the document in Acrobat Pro ms
    • use tools > form prepare
    • Double click on a form field
    • change the settings
    • continue with the next field
  • Is there an easy way to print bookmarks Acrobat Pro 9.5

Is there an easy way to print the bookmarks to a file Acrobat Acrobat Pro 9, 5?

Is there an easy way to extend to all the headings?

    Thank you

Here is something you can try:

With your file open and assuming that he has all the settings of bookmarks:

Simply export as HTML (file > export > HTML > I chose HTML 3.2). This should create a HTML file.

Open the new HTML file and the first thing you see is a list of all bookmarks!

It worked for me (I have 9 Adobe). Let me know if it works for you.

PS After the copy of the list, I pasted in Word and changed the bullets to numbers by clicking on one of the chips by selecting numbering!

  • Cannot print from Acrobat 9 Standard

I use Acrobat 9 Standard version 9.4.2 with Windows XP SP 3. I used to be able to print without any problem, but suddenly, I can print is more by clicking on the button print in the toolbar or by selecting the file menu > print.

In both cases, the print window opens and I can select a printer and make other changes, but when I click OK, nothing happens. No error message appears and I am not getting the print icon in my taskbar.

I can, however, print a PDF document by navigating to it in Explorer and solutions instead of opening it, I right-click and then click Print on the shortcut menu.

I tried in vain to print from the button print and file menu with two different HP laser printers (which I had previously used without problem). I can print documents from other types of file for these printers. My colleague can print a PDF file for these printers using the print in the toolbar.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • How could I change printer IBM 9068 A03 fonts so I'm better?

I am a linux user. In the past, I used Chrome for my browser. But a few months ago my company has changed our software and optimized for the use of Firefox. Unfortunately, the police of printing output, I got was so bad. My printer is an IBM 9068 A03 with driver IBM Proprinter II booklet, and it is little matter on police in Chrome. Can I change the font in FIrefox to get a better print output? Thank you very very much for help.

    Hello Françoise,.

No problem. Try to do it once more.

Therefore, print a lot of documents. right?

    Let's take an example.

Suppose you wanted a single document of yours in Garamound and another in Times New Roman. So, how are you? Allows to answer this and I think that would help. If not you can always ask for more help.

If you want to print anything in Times New Roman, just to change font of Times New Roman and use print options page to print.

Now, how change the police page?
It turns out that pages provide their fonts in firefox even if you select Times New Roman, always page fonts as he wants. But fortunately we can override this default behavior. Here's how?

    • FX menu go to options.
    • In options, select content.
    • Then click on advanced.
    • In advanced, uncheck the allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selection.
    • Click Ok
    • Now in the previous page, click the default font (Garamound, arial etc.) and click Ok.

You will display the user interface of the pages changed and now you can print the pages in your favorite font.

    It will be useful.

  • How can I change printer in print_printer in ConfigEditor without damage?

I recently changed my printer to a direct connection to the computer for a remote (wireless) through a router connection. Thunderbird does not recognize my new default printer.
Former name of the printer has been "HP xxxx...". »
New name of the printer is "HP xxxx...". (NETWORK) »
I looked in ConfigEditor and is very concerned with the caveat about the evolution of things. I need specific instructions on how to change this in ConfigEditor so I saw things.

I had not thought of that before (I do not print send a lot), but I found the following and found a slight improvement.

    The previous posts:
    1. open Thunderbird.
    2 - go to tools-> Options.
3 - Click Advanced and go to the general tab. On the background, click on configuration editor (attention changes here!).
    4. scroll down (or use the filter) and look for the print.print_printer entry. If it is not this registration, your problem is elsewhere.
    5. right click on this entry and click Reset. (again, be careful, do not change anything else!)
    6. close Thunderbird
7 - Make sure you have the right printer set default on your system.
8 - reopen Thunderbird and your printer should be ok.

    MY improvements:
4: instead of scrolling down, put "printer" in the search on the top line. The first entry that happens should be 'print_printer' (not print.print_printer).

5: double-click on the "print_printer" and another window will appear with the current printer shown.

My 6: In the new window, change the name of your printer by "Default" (without the quotes), then OK. By experimentation, I found that this allows Thunderbird use what printer you have defined by default in the Windows print area.

You don't need to close and restart Thunderbird, at least I had not. Your new printer should appear when you go to print a message. If this is not the case, check that the printer is the default (green check mark) in the Printers box and Windows device (available from the Start button).

  • Change printer name

MY photo software cannot print on a name of the printer that is longer than 31 characters. No problem with the name of the USB but the name of the wireless printer has "(network)" after which in fact it is too long. How can I change the name of file to printer in the menu PC printer?

Open the printer and Faxes folder.  Right click on your printer.  Select Rename, and name the printer you need.  That should be all you have to do.
