Change the color of mask?

I added a layer mask to a film. It shows the portion of the sequence I want to show. My question: is there an easy way to change the black color (the part of the sequence that is 'hidden') to another color (white for example)? I apologize for this naïve question, but this is the first time I play with mask layers. I'd appreciate any help. (There might be another way to get what I want to do?) Thanks, Laci.

Background color of your comp is probably set to black so black things indicate transparency.  You can change the white in the settings of the computer if you want.  But I would just use the Photoshop-style checkered pattern to indicate transparency.  You see an icon of swith for this toggoe the bottom of the model.

  • How can I change the color of text mask?

I'm trying to animate text in Adobe After Effects and I created a text mask. Default white is the color of the font. I can't change the color of the text. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you!

You change the color of the solid on the basis of the parameters of the layers window or apply any colorizing effect you like.

  • change the color of the title effect

For this example of a readymade title:

I would like to know how I could change the color (red) behind the title of the text.  Let's say, I would like the blue instead, or yellow, or anything else.  I tried a number of ways (just getting used to FCP X).  Y at - it a command for this, or should I make a mask with a different color?  Problem is red is lively, and a mobile mast would be required... sort of complicated as a procedure.  BTW, how these securities were made?  In another program, or can they be changed in it?

2nd question: How can I extend the follow-up of this text as a sequence of animation?  I tried to change the follow-up by degrees and adding images key, but it does not work.  In other words, when you see the title, shown above, I would like to extend then follow-up.

    Thank you.

As for the above, I just tried to open the color Board and find I can indeed change body color (see screenshot), but the photo image is also affected by the change of color.  How do I get the color of the title change and keep the color of the photo?

  • How to change the color of the same element in different layers?

    How to:

Hello! I'm new to Photoshop. I try to have 4-5 layers of the same item, but in different colors. I can't find how to 'fix' these layers so they don't change all at the same time when I use a tool to change the color. Thanks for your help!

If that's what you have in mind:

Fig 2. Dupe of image and create a mask so that when you change the color of the object, the preponderance of the image remains unchanged.

    Then, change the color

Fig. 3. Dupe of the layer, disable the bottom layer (for easy reference layer) and change the color (note the eye in the layers panel)

    Fig 4. Repeat steps.

By turning layers on and off you will see their effect.

When you're done, check out a feature called layers. It allows you to sequence through versions with a single click.

How I changed the color of something? OK, so I use to be able to change the color of things, but now I have use color overlay, gradient overlay, or change the color when I first create the form, it turns into another shade of gray instead of change the color, I chose.

Three things I can think of:

Your document must be in RGB mode.

Layer blending mode should be set to Normal

Masks are grayscale. If you select the mask, you cannot apply a color.

Always check your tab at the top to see if what you choose is RGB or grayscale.

  • Selection problem.  I imported a piece of vector art: a guy in a t-shirt and jeans.  I want to change the color of the t-shirt but when I "select", the whole picture gets selected including the head, arms and jeans.  How to isolate the t-shirt?

I imported a piece of vector art that shows a man wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.  I want to change the color of the t-shirt, but, when I 'select', not only the GET selected shirt made from the head, arms and blue jeans guy.  How do I isolate the image so I am just by selecting the t-shirt?

    Gabriel,

What happens if you click the fill with the direct Selection tool, and then try?

Or try to locate T shirt in the layer in the layers palette and select there, then try? You may need to click one or more arrows to look in under/groups/cutting masks / whatever.

  • Change the color of the objects on the film

For a project I'm working on, I need to be able to change the color of the objects individually. A person moves into the shot, and I wish that some objects in the street to change color as it passes through them. I tried various tools that alter only one color overall shot of another color, but that work here. I'm trying to change the color of individual objects at times keys in the shot.

I could easily do it with Photoshop, but it takes a long time and I'm sure that Premiere Pro or After Effects to do this much faster.

    Please make suggestions. Thank you.

The best thing to do would be to use the new masking effect and follow-up in 14 CC and the feature that allows you to apply an effect to an area of masking. The other option would be to duplicate the layer of film in order to have a copy for each element you want to change, roto individual items and then apply color effects to each of the duplicates. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then search Rotobrush and study up. If you have 14 CC then watch this tutorial by my friend Stu Maschwitz. It uses Colorista and Magic Bullet Looks, but the technique would do exactly what you want to do using other color effects.

  • What would be the best way to change the color of a part of this picture? (image attached)

I am on XP using PS CS4.

Please see the picture below. I would like to change the color of the shirt/deck of this lady, and I was wondering what the best way is to do it. I know that if I try to change the color, white bowls change color as well. In the past, I've isolated parts of images using paths, but I wanted to know if it was the most effective way. Maybe the masking is the answer. I just wanted to hear from the pros

    Thank you.

I'm not pro, but you can isolate areas likely to be affected by the change of color. Try the quick selection tool (which detects the edges) with mask edge/refine refine to refine the selection.

  • Change the color channels by selecting in PSE10 for a drawing of Photoshop CS6 (without photo). PSD file?

    Hello world

I have a drawing created in Photoshop CS6 (without photo) and saved as a. PSD file.  I am able to open the file in PSE10 and see the drawing and select layers.  I can't find how to change the colors on each layer of PSE10.  When I select a layer where can I change the color of the layer?  Is this possible in PSE10 as does a drawing created in Photoshop CS6 and not a photo?

    TIA,

    ClearInk8

You do not have a clipping mask.

In your screenshot above, go to layer > create clipping mask

  • How to change the color of the texture

    Hello

I would like to know how can I change the color of a texture in Fireworks, they normally come in gray scale, I would like some red or blue.

    Thanks in advance

I see your problem. It seems that if the Fireworks if apply textures in white on a transparent background. Thus, overlay on a white object, a texture will become invisible.

Here's an idea: check the Transparent option (in the property inspector) allows to convert the texture in a sort of mask, making the areas 'textured' invisible object instead of white. If you clone the object and the copy of the lower part of the give a color more dark (and remove the texture), the color of the background object appear through the textured areas of the top object. You can then group the two objects (command-G) to make them easier to handle as a unit.

  • Change the color of the placed transparent images (tiff, psd, png...)

    Hello.

I have a project with a lot of images placed. They must be transparent, because I need to produce a number of variants and quickly change the background and the color of these images. The images themselves have a unique color. I know that I could change their color in Photoshop and then place them in a group, but it would be much easier to just place a black version of them, arrange them, and then duplicate this group and change the color of the images. I can do this in Illustrator? I tried to use TIFF, png and PSD to get transparent images, but I only managed to change color in TIFF (for example) when they lacked transparency.

Can someone help me with this? Thank you!

You cannot colorize hair which is not flat, as you found it.

Save an extra image is your transparency in grayscale mask. Align, and select the images and the palette of tranaparency > Popacity make mask > check Invert mask if necessary as in my example.

  • How can I change the color of the sky?

Maybe it's easy, but I've never done anything like this before. I have a picture of a blue sky. I would like to take the blue sky and change it to the pink or green. The problem, for me, the sky is not a uniform blue color - it is more than a marbled blue. I like to play with changing the sky in various colors, but keep the marbled texture of the sky.

    How would I do that?

    Thanks for any help.

How can I change the color of the sky?

Continue to remove environmental laws and to deny the reality of climate change?

More seriously: Add a layer of color, change the blending mode to color the sky you prefer and create a layer mask to limit the effect to the entire sky.

  • How to change the color from orange to yellow

I have a picture of a ring.  The color of the stone is a champagne color on my picture.  I want to change the color of the stone to a pale yellow and keep all the faucets in the stone.   Is there a way to do this?  Thank youcrescent ring.png

Here is a version with a lighter yellow color. I modified the method slightly to achieve this.

    1. to get the result above, I created the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer even as I did in my original post. Reminder: Here are the settings I used for the Red slider: hue + 43; Saturation + 61; I left lightness to 0.

2.i duplicated the adjustment layer, I did to the #1 step. I just did and changed the master setting. Here are the settings I used: Saturation + 10; Lightness + 41; Hue was left to 0. Note: None of the individual channels have been changed. Leave them as they are with the red channel adjusted.

    3. this impact also the band that lost the contrast. I used black paint to protect the band for adjustment has only affected the stone. (I masked only the Strip in the Hue/Saturation adjustment mask, I created in step #2.)

    4. as before, I created a composite copy of all my layers by pressing ctrl + shift + alt + e. (if on a mac, use command + shift + opt + E).

    5. I used the tool sponge to desaturate the band.

    6. I lowered the opacity of layer band desaturated to 59%. (Use the opacity slider to bring reflections to taste.)
