Change the desktops sometimes causes reboot

Hello! Since the upgrade to Sierra this morning, I found a pretty annoying bug. Several times I have "swept" my Magic Mouse to turn on my second monitor to desktop computers, my iMac mid-2011 restarts. Nothing seems abnormal in Mission Control, but I don't know where else to look for clues on how to prevent this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi there HippieBoy!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and thank you for bringing your question about your Magic Mouse having problems switching to the desktop on your second monitor and restart your iMac.  I love being able to use a second monitor and have my iMac spontaneously reboot would get old real fast for me.  It's my pleasure to help you today.

If you go to System Preferences > accessibility and then remember to uncheck Reduce motion, which should fix this for you.  For more information on the Motion to reduce under macOS Sierra:

Run a scan for malware by installing the tool following "Malwarebytes" from the link: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

Make sure that you update the Malwarebytes tool before you run the analysis and then run a full scan and remove if infected files found on the computer.

After that, open a Notepad and copy the following text and save it as desktop.reg on your desktop

  • Tried to change the desktop image and lost all of them.

iPhoto was opened I was looking for an image specific, but also decided that it would be a good idea to multi-task with my iMac and tried to change the image of the desktop at the same time. Apparently, it wasn't the best idea. While seeking photos through system preferences, a pop-up asked if I wanted to pass something. I'll tell you... I didn't read entirely, but thought that he wanted to reopen iPhoto in System Preferences, since I had the app open on its own. I clicked 'OK', which seems to be the point of civilization to collapse, as it appears that I lost all the photos stored in my iPhoto library! What I did and how can I fix? Everyone?

Hold down the option key while launching iPhoto and using more select Library window select the correct iPhoto library

If somehow you deleted it (nothing you described in your question can result in the deletion of the iPhoto library) and then restore your backup iPhoto library until you have removed

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  • Impossible to change the desktop theme, screen goes black and blocks

Original title - Desktop Windows Manager

Every time I try to change my theme of office (and now every time windows starts), he tells me that I can't run any of the aero themes. I'm trying to troubleshoot my screen becomes black, then I get an error message:

I've updated all my drivers, including the BIOS, I've tried almost all methods I found online to solve the problem, and I would really like to avoid to restore my system simply because this Dwm.exe decided to stop working... I did not install new programs recent, nor have, I changed the parameters significantly... advice?
    I'm running a 64-bit windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1,
If you need more information on my system, I'll be happy to provide.

The module failed (StackHash_1dc2) is not formally identified.

You can check the event viewer for error and see if the module failed is identified:

Start > type eventvwr in the box "search programs and files", then press 'Enter' > expand "Custom views" > "administrative events.

Are looking through 'administrative events' Application errors involving Dwm.exe

Double click on each event for more details.

The symptoms you have described as the loss of Aero, I suspect a component connected to the graphics driver may be the issue.

For example in this link , make back the graphic driver Intel seems to help.

    Hello

It's definitely a software problem. I guess a virus/Trojan or malware could be the problem. A really useful step would be to you when you give more details on your system, which installed you´ve or what you´ve done (internet, update the driver, etc.) before the problem appeared the first time.
In my view, we will be able to discuss much more better your problem then now.

  • font size change the desktop icons

Suddenly, my desktop icons have the image or the text on them reduced to be very small. The background is always the same size, but the stuff on the icon are almost invisible

Right-click on the icon START, and then select Properties. Click the Customize button. Scroll down to almost the bottom. Put a check mark in the use of large icons.

    Was she?
Second options is to right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. Click on display. By default Windows is the smallest value, but you may have this set of medium-sized or large and an update reset default.

  • Album art WMP12 will not change the desktop

Whenever I have on my desktop of my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 music, album art remains the same. Months, I had a song on my desktop that had its own art from the album, and now that I moved the song in my music folder, any song that I put on my desk, rest the same album art as a single individual. But when I play a song from my record music, WMP starts and I just get the music for the album art note. How can I clear the desktop album art? I had some songs on my desk with album art and I play and it comes up with album art, but then a song that does not, it goes back to album art of the song of the first.

X.MP3 is the first song that the album cover is on and xy.mp3 are all the other mp3s. and when xy.mp3 is playing, album art of rest x.mp3

    Please help, it's boring.

    Thank you

    Hello sterlingsilv3r,

If you had saved to the desktop Album art, you remove the arts album before moving them to your music folder?

You should try to remove all the Arts of the Album you had saved on your desktop.

Make sure Show also that hidden files and folders also protected operating system files, and then check if hidden files appear on the desktop.

    1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
    2. click on the view tab.
    3. under Advanced settings, click Show files and folders and then click OK.

Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"

    Thank you
