Change the Jpeg file taken time in the "Date" column to windows explorer for modification time?

I just found out that JPEGs, edited and recorded by CS4 still wear their original creation time in windows Explorer, regardless of how many times they have been modified, which makes it very inconvenient and confusing, without opening the files to find out. Does anyone know how to change the setting to 'Update?' Thank you very much in advance!

You say that you see the creation Date column in Windows Explorer, but not update?

If this is the case, it's an easy fix...  In Windows Explorer, right click on the bar with the titles (for example, on the title the creation Date) and check the update box.  Normally the update, this is what is displayed by default Explorer for the elements of the General.  I don't know what is shown for other types of files, I use only general articles.

What do you see when you follow these steps:

1. right click on the folder that contains your images (in the navigation to the left).

2. Select Properties.

3. click on the Customize tab.

4 what was the optimize this folder for: of the field?

FYI, as you can see you can change folder for example, customizing the general articles for one or a whole folder tree.

You can also make changes to one of your folders of photos, and then propagate the settings to all folders of this type in your system.  I'm really jump coming here; I would like to know if that's what you eventually want to do.

Am using Vista Home Premium, I understand that there are 6 models folder in Vista Type; photography and videos and music details templates have the column nominal position, (1) what is it for, (2) can I use it for photos of rates or documents, if so how?

    Hi 5466,

    Thanks for your replies.

Vista has characteristics of property for files in folders that you might be able to carry out some sort of system that allows you to know your staff for the file that you place in the folder.

There isn't a download from Microsoft which has the attribute that you speak of to allow the classification of Word documents.  Information online about this process does not specifically address the attribute you have written in to place the dimension on the record.

Here is a possible work around you

When you view them documents in the folder, they are placed, check Details of the menu view is marked.

Then in the file that is created, right click and select Properties, in the TAG field type a general comment as '5 stars' or one who would submit to you the rating desired - in this field of the Details tab of the properties as Judd had suggested in a previous post.   You can use this field to record the files you have chosen personally.

Of course it's all a work around, but please let us know if this helps you.

  • Change the background color on Windows Explorer

Hello.  One of our users who has recently turned to the Windows 7 operating system has problems with eye fatigue due to the fact that its Windows Explorer background color is white (default).  Is there a way to change this color to something darker and easier on the eyes?  She said she did it in Windows XP (doesn't remember how she did), but cannot find a way in Windows 7.

I checked on some blogs after a search on google and it said to go to:

Control Panel / all settings control panel skin customization elements, widow colours / advanced

I went there but could not find anything specifically for the background of Windows Explorer.  I tried the substance of the request, but that it has not changed for Windows Explorer.

Any help would be appreciately greatly.

  • Change the Date column tabular database of dd/mm/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy

Hi, I use Jdeveloper 11 G with an Oracle database.

My table is empty now, but I am importing some excellent columns inside and dates to throw errors because you have some dates like 14/09/2012, which means the month is out of reach even if it is not.

This seems to be a simple thing to do, but I was unable to find how online.

    Help, please

Table import stuff using SQL Developer - most things in JDeveloper db is in reality.

What you need to do is to indicate what date format is for incoming data - which allows us to build the inserts properly to the Import Wizard.

Here's a tutorial to take you through the steps

  • Change the first column seen in the datagrid by code?

    Hello

Is anyway to change the first column in a DataGrid using action script? I mean, for example, think I have 10 columns, only 3 are seen (0,1,2). I just want to have a button to change the first column view. Thus, for example, if I press it, 1.2, and third column will be those that is displayed in the datagrid control. I need to emulate the same thing that the scroll bar when you drag in a datagrid, but instead of letting the scroll bar does that automatically, I want to "scroll" datagrid manually.

Moreover, is anyway through datagrid children and hide the scrollbar manually?

    Thanks in advance,

  • Add the "Print Directory Listing" option to the context menu of Windows Explorer

Get the error message when you try to use the "Print Directory Listing" solution found in:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us on my new Windows 7 system (from February 2010).

Could create the context menu of Windows Explorer for the task, but selecting just results in the following error message:

"This file doesn't have an associatd with her program to perform this action. Please install a program or... to create an association in the default programs control panel. »

Wentback and checked my Regedit work.  Even deleted the new key and she recreated (just in case.)

NOTE: I had successfully used the instructions in this article to add "Print Directory Listing features on Windows XP systems, so I reviewed these instructions to see differences and noticed that it * no. * 'associate' step for Vista/Win7 in the article, but this step still shown for XP.»

And, there seems to be NO WAY to associate a program (in this case, a ".bat") with all of 'record' as target.  Only choices I see these in the 'control panel default programs ' are'. [extensions] "and the protocols.

    So I'm puzzled.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    SJ Pratt

I just tried this with instructions to the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321379/en-us link you provided and it worked fine.

In view of the error you get here are my assumptions to what may be the problem.  Please try these out and answer:

-Because it denounces, "file doesn't have an associated program.." I would make sure that when you created with Notepad the file .bat you na not to create a file called 'Printdir.bat.txt' or 'Printdir.bat.some_bad_extension '.  If your Windows Explorer settings are set to hide file extensions when you look at a file name, then maybe the REAL file extension you give the command file is being hidden on your part and Windows does not know how to open a file with the extension hidden type.  Make sure that you can see all the file extensions and make sure that the batch file is named with the .bat extension.

-If you see very well all the file extensions in Windows Explorer and your file is called really Printdir.bat, make sure that you have saved in your root directory of Windows.  If you access %windir% you see Printdir.bat inside there?  If this isn't the case, put it there.  If you do, when you double-click the .bat file Windows run without error and print the dir?  If it works, you know that the batch file works correctly.

-There's a typing error in the instructions for Vista/Windows 7, check that your registry entries look like this:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Print directory Listing\command

This shows the new key under shell called "Print Directory Listing" and inside this key/folder another folder/key named "command".

To within the key/folder 'command', it takes only one entrance with the name of (by default).  Double-click (default) and make sure that its value data is set to:

    Printdir.bat %1

-You shouldn't need step "the associate" in Windows 7.

-You can add "Add Print Directory Listing to the context menu of Windows Explorer" for the title of your question so that others can find it.

  • change the date when the photo was taken

I have a bunch of photos from a trip where the device has been set to the wrong year. I know that I can change the date and time the picture was taken I PSE 7, but what happens if I want to just change the year and nothing else?

You should only change the year.

I looked into using the Exif driver and there is a plugin to allow the change of batch. However the plug-in costs $79.95.

Try a search on Google for "exif editor" or similar.

Here is a list of some editors, and some of them specify batch.

    Thank you

    Hello

I doubt this time and date setting BIOS does affect Windows activation time Windows doesn t affect it in my opinion. There must be another reason for this problem.
You can activate Windows by phone?

Normally the date and time in the BIOS can change you if you mark the date or time, and then press on + or - to change this. Sometimes you have to press PageDown/to the top according to the model of BIOS or laptop.
Usually in the configuration of the BIOS you will find a brief info how changing the values.

Please tell me how do to permanently change the date of a file "update". The file is a JPG image copied from a digital camera. After that I rotate image his 'Date Modified' goes from January 20, 2011 to September 1, 2011. As a result of the date change, the image no longer appears in the correct position when the directory is sorted. I have a program that creates a file HTML images. Date manipulation attributes of a file can be done directly through the graphical interface of Windows.  There are, however, various third party utilities that have this capability.

  • cannot change the date and time in the system restore

How can I change the date and time in the system restore? When I try to create a new restore point, I can't change the date and time, the system automatically date and time in.

System Restore will always set the date and time of any restore point created at the effective date and time of the machine.

If you want to restore your computer to a date and an hour earlier, you must select restore from a restore point that was created at the earlier time.  This article explains how.

With the help of the Windows Vista system restore
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

My apologies if I misunderstood your question.  Why should change you the date and time when a restore point was created?  The only possibility of achieving a fictitious date and time will result in a change as actual date and time Windows or in the Bios, either option with unforeseen consequences.
