  I tried several times to encode a video file in MPEG-2 using the Media Encoder CS6 with Dolby Digital Stereo audio and with the 4:2:2 profile in the video tab. However, the generated file has no audio on it and reads with just video. Once the 4:2:2 file has been converted to a different format, audio feedback, so I know that there is audio in this file, just for some reason, it won't play back.

  I use Mac OS X v10.7.3 with Media Encoder 6.0.1.31 (CS6), running on 8 GB of RAM, Intel Dual-Core i3, 3.06 GHz.

  Also, until someone asks questions about codecs, I was able to read AC3 on my machine, so this isn't the issue. Is it maybe a bug?

  Well Yes, the audio is there, but some players may not play.  It seems that the CS6 SOUL that prepares the different audio connector for MPEG2 multiplexed Dolby as SOUL CS5.5 on which there was no question on the same format.  This question was tabled in our bugs and system under investigation for the reason of this change and the solution.

  I edited a film in Premiere CS4 and I added Dolby Digital 5.1 working greate in first.

  But when I use a dynamic link to Encore CS4, the sound will be in 3.0 for some reason any. And when I burn on a DVD and try it, I hear that sounds of the left front, Center and front right. Why? And how can I solve this problem?

  You need Minnetonka SurCode SS DD 5.1 plugin for export of PrPro, to get DD 5.1 SS on your DVD in Encore. You have that?

  If you don't have it, buy it (~ US$ 250) within PrPro, you will get a discount of the Adobe user above the price on the website.

  As Jim points out, you need to export, so that you can encode with the SurCode encoder and then import them into Encore. I always use elementary streams, i.e. a video only and then an audio only 5.1 SS AC3 DD. Mux many files into one.

  I have two monitors with DVI inputs Dell, currently I have one connected to my HDMI port and still have the free VGA port (as well as USB 3.0). How to connect a second monitor to work off of? Do I need to buy? I tried to pick up a female adapter DVI to VGA HD15 male that I ran a cable from the monitor, but the second monitor does not display anything. I tried windows + p and could not get anything on the second monitor. When I changed from one monitor to the other HDMI cable the monitor worked, but always one at a time. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

  I have an AXC 603 I throw that multi monitor on... However for your problem I think the question is your d - Sub to DVI connection.

  I guess you are trying to connect an analogue to a digital input. If this is the case, you would need a special adapter that can cost from 60 to 150 depending on where you buy... in this case it is best to just get a different view. Or unfortunately buy another computer.

  So the question is why would adapter XYZ of sale you have? In short to pass a system A DVI or DVI-i/VGA unfortunately without the special conversion display cannot see the analogue

  I have my sytem with old Sub-d/VGA, VGA and the second port using the HDMI to HDMI interface... It worked with number on all my system I have connected this way. I have a little... Also have a couple that are located on a Tripple screen but not the question here...

  The TV has audio output optical fiber, which I run for my Yamaha DSP - A1 amp.

  The Blueray and Foxtel are defined to pass on Dolby Digital through HDMI.

  Problem 1: TV does not have Dolby Digital of the fiber optic connection.

  Problem 2: If I run audio blueray or foxtel fiber optics directly to my amp, there is a sync problem. The audio is delivered earlier than the image.

  I searched and found no results in my manual, or in the forum. Help, please.

  I put t have the same devices at home, but I use the optical cable for sound. It is connected to my blue ray and Technichs amp player. I use 5.1 home theater connected to the Technics. The sound is perfect.

  See s operating manuals and do not forget the optical output must not be activated. Optical cable is connected to the amp in the optical port marked as TV in the back? Don't forget that bulks is set to TV chanel when you want to hear the sound of the TV directly. In my opinion, it should be best option for you if you will be able to make it work.

  Which is really strange. Can you please test it with cable audio normal cinch? It will be interesting to know if the same problem occurs again.

Home Theater receiver accepts digital input but does not have 5.1 sound. The movies that I download with DRM removed HD forums gives the same results. Where is the problem?

• Satellite A200 - no DTS or Dolby Digital HDMI, stereo only

  I just bought a receiver AV HDMI especially wth for movies in avi or mkv with DTS or Dolby digital with my A200, but I can't seem to get the DTS or DD sound via HDMI, stereo only. Receiver AV should display the symbol DTS or DD if the source has, but I can't make it work. I don't get that audio stereo via HDMI, but not DTS or DD.

  Can anyone help? Please note that I already have the HDMI as default playback device.

  What you can try is to check the support of encoded formats.
  Start > Control Panel > Sound > reading > if no digital signal is peripheral (HDMI) listed click on it with the right button of the mouse and choose the option properties. Go to the Supported Formats tab and verify the encoded Formats it.

  I think that by default, all formats must be activated.

• Cannot send the Dolby Digital XP on Satellite P100-347

  The problem I have is that I can't get the Dolby Digital to send from my laptop to my amp, apart from the use of the library. I have the portable (Tosh P100-347) connected to my amp via a SPDIF cable.

  Basically, in Media Center, I am able to change the settings, so that the amp captures the Dolby Digital signal, during playback of a DVD from the laptop, however, I am unable to get this transmitted signal during playback (HDTV) videos that are stored on my laptop. I know they are encoded with dolby digital.

  Also, if I use another player media, such as media player and media player classic, I'm not able to get the signal digital dolby conveyed either.

  I took a quick glance and think I have changed what is necessary, but still can't find anyway to do. I would get this sort you like playing HDTV content from my laptop and also play the latest games in dolby digital when available.

• Apple TV 4 not out track as Dolby Digital AC3

  Have you met many older sons where the subject appears goes on stereo debates and it is impossible to find an answer in there, so I want to create a new one that hopefully gets some attention or a fix.

  Here's the question. The apple tv 4 (os 9.1.1 tv) connected to my iTunes library on macbook via home share no audio output on the track as Dolby Digital ac3, but sent as pcm multi-channel bitstream. Yes, it's surround sound, but without digital Dolby processing which is already in the file. All played fine on ATV3, all of a sudden on the ATV4 they are not files.

  -Some have said it can be relative to the rescue, I did of nearly10 versions of the same file, some with only one track ac3, some with only one aac, others with help define some without--few people said iTunes changed their config and now, maybe we need as the first ac3 track where before that we should first of all AAFC then ac3 with set assistance to AAFC. Done that, tried, no change.

  When you set the ATV4 to the automobile, he resumes the ac3 track and it sends as a binary stream - NOT what someone wants when the track is already in Dolby Digital. Affecting the forced atv4 Dolby Digital makes only send stereo so I'm assuming that he sees only the aac track for some reason any.

  Please until we get another thread 40page of the advantages or disadvantages of bitstream dolby digital v - don't. The simple issue is that files have a Dolby Digital AC3 track, who worked on the atv3 but not the atv4. Try to solve this problem rather than go off on a tangent again.

  I am also aware use infused 4 tvos app (or plex) kind of work and sends the audio to ac3, however, this seems a work around £7.99 since you need the pro version and is not by any means a fix for the problem at hand.

  I bought BREWS because she correctly handles the AC3 DD. It is also not stutter, a jitter of playing movies that are stored on the disk. • Dolby Digital Audio output via HDMI on Satellite A200 cable?

  I don't see how to get a Dolby Digital signal on my laptop!

  I have a screen LCD HD 1080 p television. With the help of a cable HDMI from laptop to TV gives a beautiful image. I then use an optical link between TV and Surround amplifier... However the amp does not recognize the signal as a Dolby Digital signal.

  The record is not clear on issues of Audio. The Toshiba HD-DVD player shows Dolby Digital option and I guess that's out put down the HDMI cable? I hear through the TV speakers.

  To be honest I didn t know that there is Satellite A200 laptops with HDMI output. Can you please tell me what A200 you have (A200-xxx)? Are you really sure have an A200?

  Back to your problem: as far as I know the Digital Dolby audio can be sent if the laptop has S/PDIF port. You must also use an optical cable and connect laptop to your amp directly.

  What you do now is send the signal to the TV only. I don't really know if you can browse the Dolby signal to the amp.

  It seems that Peter has removed the files to skydrive. Just install the file DTPC.msi, during the installation make sure "Active content Install" Wizard and "driver installation: DHT (liberation)" and you should be good to go.

  And Yes driver signing verification is only temporariliy disabled, and according to your boot options there are different ways to turn it off. I have more than one o/s and I also run bitlocker, so for me, it may be different on your system.

• Dolby Digital TV Apple 4th generation

  I installed the new Apple TV with Dolby Digital connected with HDMI to a Sony STR-DH540. Some applications will play in SD like the Wall Street Journal. But when I do a Crackle movie there is no center channel. However; all speakers with Roku3 work watching the same exact movie. Apple did something different from Roku. I hate to say it, but I'll use my Roku instead of the 4th generation Apple TV.

  I just tried air play a sizzle of Apple TV movie and DD this way so why not work on the Apple TV. I tried also to ABC, and it will not either SD. So far, only one for me is the WSJ.

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 last night and I had problems with Dolby sound since then, I have reinstalled several times and followed all the advice that I found here, but my problems exist currently:

  • If I turn on the Dolby Digital Plus sound > playback > properties > Dolby, after a song, or any audio finished playing (goes inactive) it will turn off back
  • Dolby Home Theater (with the equalizer, etc.) does not at all, the spectral Viewer at the top of the application stays off all the time, it enable and disable or change the settings that it does nothing

  I have tried many different methods to solve this problem, and I am currently using the latest Realtek/Dolby audio driver from acer (6.0.1.7040 for Windows 8.1) support site.

  I use an Acer Aspire V3 - 571 G, Windows 10 x 64.

  I would appreciate any support.

  Dolby Digital Plus a miraculously started working, although it seems very different from the last time that I used it (he was much smaller and said Home Theater rather than Digital Plus) but it's better than nothing.
