Change the meta data to shift the date of a series of photos of a year

I have an external HD full of photos of a 14-month trip RV 3-4 cameras.  I started with my primary camera set date of one year behind the effective date and now I'm wondering as I import into lightroom 5. can I make a global change for photos taken by this camera that will update of the year by one (the rest of the date is fine).  By doing this I can interleave the four cameras per sort by date.  Since I am a newbie in lightroom I thougt I ask for more because it would allow me to save a lot of work.

Thank you

Jim

In the library under menu metadata/Edit Capture time the following dialog box is displayed.  You can change the year in the photo more and it will update the rest of the photos selected by the same amount. Before using it on ALL of your photos, you should try a few pictures and see how it works.  Highlight the year that I have and use the up/down arrows on the right to change the value.  Also note that this cannot be undone so you can make backups of your original files.

  • Change the order of pictures in Windows Photo Viewer?

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the order in which Windows Photo Viewer load images? To clarify, if you use a large (or whatever that either size) display of the icon in a folder, when I hit the "next" or the "back" button, rather than display the image to the left or right of the current one, photo viewer load the preceding or beneath it.  Basically the program reads from top to bottom in vertical columns, rather than left to right on a horizontal line. Is it possible to fix this?

No sorry, there is no configuration for this.

  • change the settings of export based on photo

Hi all, I searched a lot, without finding an answer to this task: I need to change the settings of export based on unique photo, for example settings megapixels resize factor rating function.

I know that export settings can be changed with updateExportSettings but it is global for all photos of.

I also know that in the Export Department, I can define a processRenderedPhotos function in the loop inside the session: "renditions", I can do additional actions on each photo, but after having been made.

I know finally I can define a filter Service where to put the postProcessRenderedPhotos function, but it is a post-processing work so after the photo was made and registered...

Then... How do I? Where to put code to change exportSettings for each photo based on a feature of the photo?
Thanks a lot for your help

    Julian

How to access every photo in the function "filterSettings = function (renditionToSatisfy, exportSettings)"...? As I said, I need customization of the exportSettings based on characteristics of the photo, so I need to access the photo associated with a current rendering: how?

The 'renditionToSatisfy' argument is class LrExportRendition, and renditionToSatisfy.photo gives the restored LrPhoto.

  • How to copy the meta data of location of one photo to others

In iPhoto used to be possible to copy location of metadata from one photo to others by selecting a photo and the "paste special" in photos of the selected target information. To my disappointment, I discovered Apple either has hidden this option very well or he just disappeared. I hope for the first, but I fear that this very handy as feature was just emptied into the sewers

So my question boils down to: how to copy a location in 1 photo to other metadata?

    OSX10.11.1, pictures 1.2

You cannot copy the location directly by copy and paste data.

You can type in the latitude and longitude in the "Attribution of location."  To be able to do this export the photo you want to copy the latitude and longitude of and open the Info Panel in the Finder by clicking the photo and urgent ⌘I.  The "more information" section of the Panel Info will show you latitude and longitude.   Type the value in the field of the photo you want to copy you latitude North and longititude to.  Use decimal degrees, with a decimal point.

  • Can I use Organizer to change the size of .jpg of all photos in a folder in a batch process?

We use wa-a-ay too much disk space for a growing collection of photography.   My daughter is a monster of a camera with four children - have to - I say more?

In my current test file, the size of the original photos range from 2.3 MB to 4.2 MB.  I took a picture at random and printed original and then three more, saved by PSE9 as .jpg files with quality average, maximum and minimum settings on regular letter-size paper and still on paper photo 4 x 6.  It takes a magnifying glass and a kneecap calibrated to detect a difference on paper, and it is even more difficult on photo paper.  I think that I should take the pressure off the hard drive capacity of all reduce to a more reasonable size; After all, minimum quality printing takes less than 1% of the space like the print quality.

I have the feeling that I can accomplish this in a batch process with the Organizer, but that's all I've got is the intuition - not the know-how.   I would like someone to make me scroll through the process.

Also, I expect a lecture on why I shouldn't do this.  Go ahead; I will listen.

You are the only one to judge... You won't regret it if you want to use photos with the size and the original resolution at a later date?

Yes, you can use the organizer or the command 'treat multiple files' Editor. But first, you should think about two questions:

-Are you ready to save full resolution and size files before the "shrinkage"? External USB drives with large capacities are available and affordable.

-What you say, the optimum size would be for files resized to size 4 "x 6" at 300 DPI in 8 to 10 jpeg quality.

Resizing the Editor: use the command 'treat multiple files' and click on the button "Same as source". I do it without a backup of first sound... This can be done per-folder.

Resizing of the Organizer: use the 'Export' command This command leaves the original and puts the files in a new folder. The resulting files are NOT included in the catalogue. This means that the maintenance of your organization (albums, categories, tags,...) will be difficult. even if you use a file management system.

Another solution with third party software such as Faststone photo resizer:

-Absolutely do a full backup before

-Run the resizing of the external software options so that files are resized without being moved. Replacing the originals.

-If you use the Organizer, your organization will be preserved, but the size of the files in the catalog databases and the thumbnail will be wrong. You can recreate the thumbnail cache by deleting the thumbs.5.cache file in your catalog folder. It will be rebuilt automatically.

That worked for me in the past... no warranty for you!

  • How can I change the paper orientation when printing on Photos?

In the Photos on OSX El Capitan, I would like to print photos. I put them up to two print by page, but when I went to print, the paper was not portrait and landscape oriented as indicated in the overview. (screenshot below)

There seems to be no way to set the direction for the paper from Photos and no option in the print dialog box to change this. I looked up the other forum posts and proposed to set the default paper size in the printer setup... .mine shows 8.26 11.69 inches (A4), which should be the portrait.

Hello! I have the same problem. Currently im using HP Deskjet 2645 and I have a problem with the copying of the photo. I want to copy a document from the photo and change in legal size but the only option are A4plain, A4photo and Photo 4 x 6. How can I fix my printer setting? I hope you can help me with this one...

    Thank you!

    Hi @remz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are looking to copy a legal document size on printer all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

If you try to copy a legal document size on the dish (glass), you will not be able to. Flat maximum scanning is: 216 x 297 mm (letter 8.5 x 11).

That being said, you can copy legal size documents using the ADF (ADF). The ADF will automatically copy the legal size document, as long as you have legal paper loaded in the paper feeder.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1 - how to change the speed of a row of photos on the timeline?

(Adobe Premiere elements 12.1). I think I went through all the possible explanations using Adobe-videos, www and You Tube. etc., but I'm still too stupid, having not yet seized the response.  I am new to this, and it does everything just for me. If I manually drag the vertical red line along the timeline, then individual pictures presents during the masterscreen above, but they have almost disappeared in arriving at the other. If I press play instead, the red line is progressing fairly well, but still the same speed on the timeline, but I need an explanation to slow down or speed up the clouds-photos that I brought to the timeline. Y at - there someone here who can / will cut out in 5 mm plates of steel for me?  PS. This isn't a normal video, it's 190 photographs of clouds taken with my interval-o-meter, just to know 'how' in Premiere Elements

BTW. I was arrested on my previous effort to get an answer (in Danish): you are not allowed to question here - or something like!  Why?

The best way is to your slide show in a video output then re-import this video in your project and use Time Stretch to slow down or speed up playback.

How you do that depends on how you plan to use this slide show. It will be released on a DVD or BluRay disc? Uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo?

  • Change the cursor to pointer in spry photo gallery

Can someone help me, I created a website using Adobe Spry Photo album and I need the cursor to change to a pointer to give the user an indication that there will be an action that occurs when the user clicks on the thumbnail in the gallery.

Ah, that confirms why I couldn't see it :-)

copied and pasted directly into the stylesheet css at the beginning, but it does not work. Do I have to create a new rule in the style sheet, and if so would it be a class? and once this rule has been made how to add code?

Well, in the style sheet would be better because if you have the a similar Gallery on another page, other pages will also read, if they are linked to the style sheet.

    Yes, it is a class.

Perhaps .thumbs should read .thumbnails because I don't think inches either anywhere in my code?

If there is a class of .thumbnails in your current style sheet and it designates the style of thumbnails, then Yes, replace the thumb with thumbnails and see if it works.

With a very quick look, I could not see a class for thumbnails, all I could see what a class for the .thumbsContainer.

I'm only through code that David provided make sure you you put in the right place for testing purposes.  I haven't used this gallery before and am not sure of all the styles that are associated with.

    Hello

    Thank you

    Hello

If the processor of your laptop is not fixed mounted, you can place another P4 in your motherboard. But this makes no sense, because you can not use another module of cooling, the CPU performance should be limited. And your laptop work already at its limit. A laptop is not designed to be upgraded. There are only a few things, such as the memory or HARD drive, and they also have a limit.
